I saw this at the Palladium and the prodiction was fine and was far from earth shattering. I welcome a different take on it

One of my favourite musicals of all time. I didn’t see the Craig Revel Horwood version because I didn’t like the fact they lowered the key for Alexandra and also I don’t like the Broadway script as much as the London one.
We’ll see what this is. I hope Allison Harding is in it.

Bring back Sheila Hancock! Nah. Sally Dexter was the best Mother Superior. I’d really love to see Julia Hills do it actually.

Can we please have Dame Maggie Smith reprise her Mother Superior role. I know it would never happen, but I can dream!

Big advert for it in the ‘On Your Feet’ programme/brochure loved the West End production, CRH one less so. Patina Miller was brilliant, what a find.
Regret no seeing it with Whoopi Goldberg, she sold the Palladium out!!!

The programme does say ‘new’ production. What does new mean? New as never been done before or new to the West End?
Reading the programme one of the producers is the Curve Theatre and I thing they are the same theatre that originated the CRH version?
So get ready for the bump guys.

It was indeed a Curve production:https://www.curveonline.co.uk/whats-on/shows/sister-act-2/

Beverley Knight would be a dream in this role. She crossed my mind too. I presume it will be a ‘name’ as Deloris.

If it did end up back in the West End, this has Playhouse written all over it, if they do get offered a theatre. Could even end up at one of the new zone 2 theatres.

Must be touring again prior to London - New season brochure for Newcastle arrived this morning and it lists the show as playing from 25-30 May next year.

Jenlee Shallow from America’s Got Talent (currently covering La Burke) in The Bodyguard could play the lead with ease

Looks like Brenda Edwards is just about to be announced in Sister Act based on This Morning a second ago.

She's an amazing vocalist- interested to see if this is a new production or the curve one.

I hope in the original keys, then I would and go and see it. (Allison Harding needs to be in it too.)

There's a vid with Whoopi and Brenda on twitter. Whoopi is credited as the Co producer. The part has been rewritten to be older than the previous musical versions of Deloris which Whoopi said she always wanted.

Will have to book for this. I’ve seen a friend in a school production of Sister Act and that’s about it. The songs seemed catchy enough and I can imagine the material can be elevated a lot with someone like Brenda in the lead. Great casting!

I'm not sure this will be the same production as the the last tour. I'm not sure whether CRH is involved with this. You'd assume he's be announced as the director along with all this other info given he's also a 'name' yet there is no mention of him in any of the tweets nor on the site?

How old was Whoopi when she played Deloris? I’m sure Brenda will smash it and I imagine she’s probably gained new fans from people who watch Loose Women.

I saw Sister Act with Patina Miller a few times and it's a real feel good show. Even got a signed CD somewhere when she did a signing at HMV. Definately a show I'd like to revisit and Brenda has a great voice. My only concern is any involvement with CRH.
