I really hope Suzie Mathers does more shows in London after she finishes in Wicked. It'd be nice to see her become a West End lady

She's incredible and it would be sad to see her go back to Australia. What other roles would she be right for? Maybe Christine in Phantom?

Yeah it would be a huge shame if she went back to Australia after Wicked as id love to see her play more roles other than Glinda. Yeah Christine is a good call and also maybe Les Mis or School of Rock too? I reckon she could be good in a role like Lauren in Kinky Boots too or even Elle Woods in Legally Blonde?! She's also a very, very pretty lady

So looking forward to seeing Rachel again tomorrow. My penultimate time before her last performance.
I don't think I'll ever see someone who gets Elphaba like she does.

I've never seen Alice and while I am sure she is great I don't plan on seeing her for a long time. Well until 30th January or later at least

I've heard just about every recording there is of Alice singing something from Wicked, and I was extremely underwhelmed if I'm honest.

Some talented lungs out there in Wicked land and fortunate enough to have seen three of them live...
Jackie "the belt" Hughes steals the show for me I'm afraid! It's effortless and powerful without being shouty...

Does anyone happen to know where I can find the audio clip that was entitled something like "Rachel Tucker Defying Gravity BEST EVER"? It used to be on youtube, but I can't find it anymore. I was obsessed with it. This clip was the reason I decided to see Wicked in the first place. I remember that Gina Beck was Glinda at the time and the description said something about the cast tweeting about it in the interval because she was so awesome.
EDIT: I managed to find out that the exact title was "Wicked - Rachel Tucker - Defying Gravity 01/06/12 (Best performance ever!)". I sent the link to a friend a few months ago and I can see the title and stuff, but the video itself has been deleted.

Yeah all audios of Alice I've heard have been ok, but not amazing.
When you have the two best Elphaba's in the world in London this year, you're gonna wanna see Rachel and Willemijn.

When you have the two best Elphaba's in the world in London this year, Ashleigh Gray is returning? Please don't start this Michael. It's all fun and games until a Fanzel sees the thread and starts World War 3 xD

Alice is better live just like every other performer, Alice is outstanding! Of course they're all better live. But when you compare Alice's audios to another Elphaba's audios, and you think it's not that good in comparison, I think you can conclude that she'll probably not be incredible live either.

I would disagree when you say every performer. I think Emma Hatton sounded far screechier live than in her audios (and I didn't think that was possible)

I didn't like her audios at all, but live she was tolerable. Maybe she was just having a great night when I saw her

To each their own Everyone has their own opinions on every performer. Personally, Jodie Steele has been my favourite Elphaba I have seen thus far, while others who have seen her would have her towards the latter half of their rankings. It would all be boring if Ashleigh or Willemijn or Idina was our favourite Elphaba!
