To each their own Everyone has their own opinions on every performer. Personally, Jodie Steele has been my favourite Elphaba I have seen thus far, while others who have seen her would have her towards the latter half of their rankings. It would all be boring if Ashleigh or Willemijn or Idina was our favourite Elphaba! When Jodie was announced as standby I expected a lot of her because she has an incredible voice. But I must say I'm quite disappointed, because she seems to have trouble hitting, and especially sustaining, the long high notes at the end of Defying Gravity.

Lauren James Ray has returned to the cast to play Nessa today so a Nessa shortage as Helen Woolf (2nd cover) is on for Glinda!

I have no interest in audios unless it's a show I was at. The visuals are just as important for me for a musical theatre performance. They belong together.
Listening online on you tube while staring at a photo with writing "omg best riffs ever" really doesn't do anything for me.

I like to listen to audios of shows I've already seen so I can compare different people in the same role.

My favorite for the gym are those 4 hour complitions of just the flying portions by different actresses. Nothing gets a work out going like "oh-ahhh oh ahhh owwww" a 100 times over in a row

A few more cast holiday dates are up on their website. Rachel ist not performing on the 29th December (Evening) and from 2nd to 4th January. Luckily, I've got a free slot on the 2nd January (Evening) left, so I shall be dayseating that morning. Looking forward to seeing Alice again

Nothing gets a work out going like "oh-ahhh oh ahhh owwww" a 100 times over in a row I like the ones where they make a compilation of just one particular line. I love hearing "so if you care to find me, look to the Western sky", sung by a few dozen Elphabas in a row.

Oh well, guess her last night will end up being the only time I get to see her again, unless I do a theatre double and dayseat the week before (my evening is already booked!)

In Brazil, the audience sang-a-long to Myra Ruiz' final "Defying Gravity" - especially at 5:10
Another view from a bit further away:

Do people realise that there is a difference between a concert and a piece of theatre

(Although it was a "final" performance which no doubt led to the sing-a-long). I do feel for the people for whom this was their first time seeing the show.

I've never heard anything quite like it - Elphie sounds like she's laughing at one point so I guess she wasn't expecting it!!
Loved Morrible!! Sounds very menacing in a different language!

This makes me laugh and be furious at the same time. If someone sings at Rachel's last they will be for it. Mind, that would be preferable than the lass who was loudly sobbing her way through her last one!

Does anyone know when Wilemijn will finish in Wicked? Really want to see her before she goes. I know she starts after Rachel but January and February are no go times for me

I know she starts after Rachel but January and February are no go times for me I expect her to stay until the next big cast change, which will probably be in September. I don't think she'll stay much longer as she's previously been in Wicked for quite a long time. I think this will be another limited engagement, like Rachel's.

from a few pages ago: I believe that 22nd July 2017 will be the last show for Willemijn (if she isn't staying), and for whoever else chooses to leave, Suzie and Oliver presumably. No official announcement has been made yet, though. If they do so, I'm the first to get myself tickets for Willemijn's last two shows - I think after this run, she's finished with Wicked for good.

Whilst I think Oliver will leave (though I don't really want him too, as he is a great Fiyero), I wouldn't be surprised if Suzie stays for another year. She is brilliant in the role and clearly enjoys doing it. Also, on the topic of people singing along to Defying Gravity, I think I would genuinely punch someone in the face.

This might be a bit soon, but who do we think will take over from Willemijn if she really does leave in July? Whilst I agree with many people that it's nice to get new Elphabas, I woulnd't be surprised if they brought back another former Elphaba. I'd love to see Suzie reunited with Jemma Rix. Alternatively, I hope Natalie McQueen and/or Laura Emmitt will one day return as standby Elphaba.

Bring back Laura Emmitt I say... if not, then new Elphaba, we need there to be some fresh meat in those leads!

This sing-along thing is pathetic. As Daniel said, I'd start punching people if that happened during a performance I'm attending.
