To be fair, very few people are going to see the show for one particular actor or actress though. I know. And most of those who do are members of this board

Michael (sorry, don't know how to tag people on here), which option did Alice sing for the end of INTG this afternoon? I'm wondering if she always takes the higher note or not. to tag someone, precede their user name (not the display name) with an @ The user name is shown if you move your cursor over the display name. Surprisingly, she went for the high note. As you, I really thought she had the register to reach the low note. Michael - checking if I've understood tagging! Yes, her low notes in ALAYM sounded fine. I remember Ashleigh Gray used to do the higher note, back when she was s/b, but that was after some less than successful attempts at the lower one as u/s & she was lighter voiced anyway. Alice sounded well within her vocal means for everything else. Oh well, I guess I'll have to remain somewhat surprised!

I'm not sure it's that uncommon for an actress to sing a high note? I've heard NDJ and Ashleigh sing the high note on tour, Emma regularly sang it and thinking about it, I've probably seen more high note performances than low ones...

I think the low note is the standard and how it's written but those who don't have the range may instead use the higher note.

Ah yes sorry, what I meant was that I've actually heard more take the higher note than lower - even though it's the lower one that's written unlike Glinda's optional high note to end NOMTW.

I hope this is not too off-topic, but does anyone have any idea what happened to the forum innuendoandoutuendo? For at least a week now the site hasn't worked. At least not for me.

However, I think there are multiple admins on there as well so I don't think it all comes down to one person.

Alice is on as Elphaba tonight! Rosa is on as Nessa all week! Kerry is on as Morrible till Wednesday! Answering someone's question earlier, Alice sings in a higher register on the last note in INTG

So Rachel called out before the Saturday matinee last minute and now also has called out tonight, I hope she is okay! She wasn't sounding too great the week before her holidays so hopefully she is just resting her voice. Way to go Alice for amazing consistency, not a show missed yet!

You do realise it could be a multitude of reasons why she called out on Saturday and also tonight, not least she's a mother with a young child!
You've just criticised her recent vocals and then assumed that's why she's missed two shows?! Surely if she's not up to it she wouldn't have done Saturday evening?!

"Rachel Tucker" and "not sounding too great" are two things never to be found in the same sentence.

Sorry I forgot that we all have to be coddled like children, wrapped in bubble wrap and hide from opinions that we don't like. It was only a suggestion/theory, calm down.

Natalie McQueen is standing by for the next three days.
Does this mean Jessamy and Alexandra are still not fully rehearsed or do they just have illness/holiday shortages?

She may be standing by for Nessarose as Rosa is on for Nessa till Saturday and Helen is on for Glinda (as Carina seems to be out). So assuming that they have no covers for Nessa!

Yeah has to be Nessa. Jessamy had her cover run this week with Rosa doing Glinda too!

Helen Woolf must be hardly able to believe her luck getting to go on so much. Usually the Glinda understudies only seem to get to go on very occasionally, much less often than the Elphaba ones. I can still remember dashing down to London back in December 07 when the word got round that Caroline Keiff was finally on for Glinda.

Chances of Alice being on tomorrow (Friday)? I'm feeling a Wicked trip coming on but only if Alice is on....

Yeah Carina's not tweeted since the end of October and I'm not sure she's had a show since then either so great for Helen to get on so much! As you say, it's rare for a Glinda u/s to get so much stage time!

Any word if Alice is on tonight? If I ring the box office do you think they'll tell me?

Any word if Alice is on tonight? If I ring the box office do you think they'll tell me? West End Understudies haven't tweeted about Alice being on, so I presume Rachel is back. They did tweet about Helen being on as Glinda though.
