Big news! Apparently there was a new "things I've never felt" riff tonight. How exciting. I wonder if the midwife did the rare "atrocious" riff tonight as well. Apparently there was no "atrocious" riff, but there WAS an "obscene" riff. It was so moving and powerful that the Witch's Father saw the error of his ways, and decided he quite liked Elphaba after all. He stopped pressurising his wife into chewing milk flowers, Nessarose was able to walk, Elphaba was never sent to Shiz to look after her, she never met the Wizard or became a political activist, and lived out a long life producing a range of seasonal cards and handmade gifts. "What Is This Ribbon?" and "As Long As You've Got Tissue Paper" were both very good songs too I hear.

Come on. We all know only the fifth cover midwife can do those riffs

She did a similar riff last week and the resulting outpouring of emotion and hysteria was the real reason the power went out across London.

Pretty good riff, but it can't beat Kerry's "things I've never felt" riff. Eargasm every single time.

Omg! I died! In tears!! Best riff ever!! jffhdhkdhsfdtddy!! #intervaltweetbingo HOUSE! If you died, how come you're still posting? I'm confused. Everyone knows a DG inspired death only lasts for 20 minutes

Just a shoutout to this little musical amd the fact that on December 4th, it will overtake Beauty and the Beast and the 9th Longest Running Broadway Musical in history! Meanign that once it reaches number 9, all of the shows to beat other than the top three are already closed so it could easily get to the 4th spot in the next 3/4 years But unless Phantom, Chicago or Lion King close (most likely of course being Chicago) it loks firmly set to be at number 4 for a long while.

I am really surprised Chicago has been running that long.

That was my third ever show and even though I was at the back of the circle the atmosphere was like nothing I have ever experienced in a theatre before or since. It was absolutely astonishing. Ironically, if I was at that same show today after seeing the show many many times the screamers would probably annoy me.

The screamers usually annoy me too, yet I'd love to experience the atmosphere of an Elphaba's last show. I might go to Rachel's last if I can get to London.

I went to Louise and Gina's final show and it was mental! This will be my best chance to ever catch a last show because I'll have that week off. And Rachel's my favourite so I really want to be there.

I went to see the show tonight in order to see Alice Fearn on, as as soon as she was announced as standby I knew I wanted to see her. It makes a change seeing her playing a witch rather than being persecuted by one! (Awakening Beauty & Into The Woods) I loved her take on the character. Her Elphaba was so endearing & sincere. I felt like I would like to meet her character in real life & would like her when I met her, if that made sense. Her line readings made it sound like she was saying them for the first time. Her singing was very solid & powerful, not too many riffs & what there were sounded like they were there for a reason, not just for the sake of riffing. The only thing that surprised me was she took the higher option for the last note of INTG. I would have thought the usual note would be in her range.

Rachel's holiday dates are out. She is off on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 15th, 16th and 17th December. Apparently they've changed the dates on short notice and Rachel is back today. Crap. Had I known this before, I wouldn't have queued up for a day seat for today's Matinee. Edit: Now I'm really confused: So I seem to be lucky under the circumstances...

I think the castboard is wrong, Alice usually tweets if she is on and she hasn't tweeted since last night after finishing her confirmed run of dates. I think it's a Rachel show...

Just walked past the cast board. They've already updated it for tonight. Rachel's back, and Rosa O'Reilly will be playing Nessa. On my way to the Waterloo East Theatre now, I'll post later more. Edit: Most has already been said so I'll keep it short. Idriss Kargbo is way too camp and I had the feeling that he was angry at Glinda for her dating Fiyero instead of him. Anita Dobson: What was that? Worst Morrible I've ever seen. How on earth did she get this part? It felt as if this was her first acting job and that she didn't even finish the first chapter of "Breaking into acting for Dummies". Thank God she's leaving at the end of January. I quite liked Suzie Mathers, but based on the feedback on here I've expected a more American, crazier (in a positive way) and more over-the-top Glinda. Also, in parts I found her too operatic (if that makes any sense). Still, a vast improvement to the late Savannah. However, I'm really looking forward to seeing Kara Lindsay next Saturday. As for Alice, I can pretty much echo what Dawnstar has said. Hugely enjoyed her Alphaba and I'm happy that I managed to finally see her. Will definitely be back if I can manage to make any of Willemijn's off dates.

Rachel changed her holiday dates a week or two ago, I would hardly say it is that short notice. I am glad you got to see Alice though, everyone loves her! The matinee was unexpected for her, by all accounts Rachel should have been on.

They should have asked for my permission Every time someone changes holiday dates after they've been published it's going to inconvenience both those who booked to see the standby & those who booked to see the lead. At times I have wished that they weren't allowed to change dates once published unless there's some sort of emergency. I still remember the string of useless Wicked tickets I ended up with back in 2007 when Jerry Ellis kept on changing her holiday dates when I was trying to see Shona White. Michael (sorry, don't know how to tag people on here), which option did Alice sing for the end of INTG this afternoon? I'm wondering if she always takes the higher note or not.

To be fair, very few people are going to see the show for one particular actor or actress though. Plus, I've had to change my holiday dates at work last minute before now - the cast of Wicked are within every right to do so as well.

Michael (sorry, don't know how to tag people on here), which option did Alice sing for the end of INTG this afternoon? I'm wondering if she always takes the higher note or not. to tag someone, precede their user name (not the display name) with an @ The user name is shown if you move your cursor over the display name. Surprisingly, she went for the high note. As you, I really thought she had the register to reach the low note. That said, I still wait for someone to belt this note out Edit: as Mandy Gonzalez does in this video (starts at 5:13): Maybe at a muck-up Matinee?
