I just walked past the theatre to get some food before the show, and also past the Victoria Palace... I do wonder if Wicked will see a boost at the box office with regards to Hamilton's spill-over buisness? If they have day seats or return queues and people are unsuccessful, they could look to Wicked as the next choice as not only is it one of the most well-known and arguably biggest shows in London but also it is the only theatre close by compared to others in the West End. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Yep, 100% think this will make a difference. How much of a difference, who knows! People will be chancing Hamilton with returns, and if unsuccessful may well think "what can I go see instead - oh look, there's Wicked"

Full review to come, but in short, I have never heard Rachel sing like she sang tonight...fresh as a daisy, she absolutely nailed it. The entire show and cast (understudies too!) were on fine form; it was certainly one of my more memorably enjoyable Wicked visits of recent times.

I wish I could go back one more time before Rachel leaves. I had been waiting to see her in this for years and when I finally did in September it was worth the wait. But seeing her just once isn't enough. I just might make her final few shows.

But this cast is everything! The understudies for Boq and Morrible were brilliant, Suzie was phenomenal... and Rachel, need I say more! I mean, what else is there to say that hasn't already beem said about Ms. Tucker. She is all the hype and more. The three times i have seen her her Defying Gravity has moved me to tears, it is just incredible what she can do with her vocal chops!

I've never seen any Elphaba act it so well. I was in the front row, and I swear I saw tear at least 3 times throughout that performance.

When you watch her it's easy to believe that she IS Elphaba.
Astonishing performances night after night after night.

I feel so rookie asking this question....but have they changed the lyrics in Wizard and I? I'm listening to the OBCR for the first time (literally - first time ever. Bootlegs....what?) and Idina sings "when we are hand in hand" but I could've sworn the lyric is "when we work hand in hand". I've seen the show 53 times and sung this song countless times in concerts....so the fact I don't know the answer to this question is freaking me out...

I think various small things have been slightly changed over the years, but nothing major.

Big news! Apparently there was a new "things I've never felt" riff tonight. How exciting. I wonder if the midwife did the rare "atrocious" riff tonight as well.

Tadaaaa
Of course I don't condone the recording of live theatre nor the sharing of recordings.
