They're probably just aware that there are some 'prolific' recorders about and they're more than likely going to be attending the 10th anniversary show. Probably just an extra clear warning to them. Yes but recordings made from high up in the circle aren't going to be very clear. Unlike all the other days they are in the day seats in front row stalls!

So glad it's not just a normal show! Would love the others to include Idina but she's doing album promo in the US so very unlikely.

And I'll bet Alexia and Emma will appear and expect Ms Dearman too if she's not in a show at the mo!
Oooo probably Savannah and Dianne too!
Willemijn was in the country a few weeks ago - wonder if our new Elphie will make an appearance!

I would love a Kerry/Dianne Willemijn/Savannah Rachel/Louise ULTIMATE For Good.
And obviously, every lead, standby, understudy Elphaba there has been to do the biggest Defying Gravity ever would be lovely.

I saw the matinee today. All the leads were on. I thought Suzie was fantastic, i thought Oliver Saville was a great Fiyero, i really enjoyed Anita and Sam. Now Rachel.........i don't imagine this will go down too well here but i found her a bit disappointing if i'm honest. I really thought the only song she nailed was Defying Gravity, which to be fair she did amazingly, but i found her voice disappointing in pretty much every other track, even No Good Deed which i've heard amazing clips of her doing and was something i was looking forward to. Now it may be she had an off day, maybe she wasn't 100%, maybe she wasn't going full pelt as it was matinee i don't know, all i know is i felt disappointed by her voice apart from DG. I've heard mixed reviews about her actual portrayal of Elphaba and so i expected maybe it could go either way and tbh i don't think i was overly keen on that side either. Her acting seemed a bit stilted and mumbly to me honestly and just a bit....odd. I must say though i do think she had mic/sound issues and so i don't know if that made a difference to any of the above. But anyway I do think i preferred my previous and only other Elphaba i've seen and i really wasn't expecting to say that at the start of the day. I really wished i was blown away by her but i just don't think i was. Suzie on the other hand i was was really really impressed by. I wonder if it's just i prefer the Glinda role? As actually on my two other visits to the show (on tour) i was also more impressed by the Galinda than i was the Elphaba on those occasions too. Maybe i just find Glinda a more impressive role generally and so that's why i find the Elphaba's underwhelming? I don't know.

Now I have seen her on several occasions during her previous tenure, when she blew me away every time. I was so disappointed today, and did wonder myself if she was holding something back or wasn't well. Most disturbing was the mumbling before each song got going, and change of accent as the show progressed. Maybe, as you say, she had mic issues - let's hope it's all sorted for the Big Night!
I really liked Suzie, the funniest Glinda in ages - the audience were certainly laughing, whereas in some recent shows Glinda hasn't raised so much as a titter.

Oh yes, the accent. That was all a bit odd wasn't it and come to think of it probably one of the main reasons why i felt the way i did about her acting/portrayal. It was rather an awkward accent that did seem to change a few times.

Thanks for this. For those hesitant to click the link it is Ripleys Believe it or not for £10 instead of £27.95 and there is also a Wicked exhibit. I think £10 is about the right price for the attraction so it would be rude not to visit while I'm up!

Because when I saw her two weeks ago her singing was as awesome as you'd expect and her acting was incredible as well. I actually thought that was the best acting I'd ever seen in a musical. As for Suzie, yeah she's incredible. I want to marry her.

Someone offer to sell me seats in row F for the 10th at £100 per ticket. I know that's not the price they sell these tickets at for regular performances but were they more expensive for the 10th? Just want to make sure I'm not being ripped off.

I think the ticket prices were the standard peak weekend prices...which of course we wouldn't normally see on a Tuesday night in September!

My tickets were £10 more expensive (for row K) than they are for a usual Saturday performance. £72.25 face value.

Does anyone know if Wicked would take a return for Tuesday night or exchange for another night? I have a spare ticket that I can't use.

Some things i missed from yesterdays show than i saw in my previous visits. Glinda not making anything of the "they're just shoes, let it go" bit. I've seen two previous Glindas and they both made a whole thing about how that was a big thing for her to say, but Suzie literally just said the line. Though it still got a laugh to be fair ( ) I must say there is something about the way Liam Doyle sings As Long As Your Mine that i really missed, though Oliver Saville still was good. In No Good Deed......Rachel didn't do the, and excuse my complete lack of vocal technical jargon, but she didn't to the key change thingy in the last "again". I love that bit and it was missing. Oh and btw Katie Rowley Jones. I'm sure anyone who has seen her many time see's a difference of lack of effort in her portryal but as a first time viewer of her i thought she was quite good.

I just saw the livestream from Wicked UK which they did on Saturday. Rachel and Suzie said "we're gonna have very special events and lots of special surprises, which we will not be telling you right now". The special curtain call was announced the day before this, so there must be other things that will be going on.

Well we will find out tomorrow what these surprises will be I suppose...and its kind of killing me right now, I hate surprises, they never live up to anything. So a balloon drop, some old cast members at curtain call and Michael McCabe and Rachel giving a speech is all Im expecting.
