Ummmm no I didn't... Whoever said that to you is clearly lying! So this guy in the video has two accounts on here too... one with his name and one with the Alice Fearn name. Well, wasn't too difficult to put two and two together. Does one such account not need to be closed down then. Sure i saw in the rules somewhere that duplicate accounts werent allowed

Doesn't change the fact he shoved a young girl at the stage door, quite frankly disgusting behaviour! As we were speaking about our favourites in the lead roles in the last few pages, how about everyone lists their favourites? Always good fun to see, especially when new people join or people see new cast members

For Elphaba my top 3 in no particular order are Rachel Tucker, Jennifer Dinoia and Willemijn. If i was pushed for a number 1 it would be Willemijn
Glinda it would be between Savannah, Louise Dearman and Gina Beck
I can never see past Miriam Margolyes as Morrible and I am dreading seeing Anita Dobson in that role at Rachels last

He is also the very same person who notoriously shoved the young girl out of the way at the SD queue so he could stand closer to the door. Ummmm no I didn't... Whoever said that to you is clearly lying! I'm far more excited to find out the conclusion of #shovegate than #goldenshowergate!

Ive definitely witnessed shoving at stage door at cast changes to get to the barrier. Someone (not the person in question here) ive seen regularly in the day seat queue tried to push in between me and a fairly small child saying "i know emma hatton, i have to be close" Sadly im not kidding and for that reason im not particularly surprised by the story

Always good fun to see, especially when new people join or people see new cast members As it's just for fun... Willemijn, Jackie Hughes & NDJ for top 3 elphies of the 11 I've seen ( I love a controlled belter...) Dianne Pilkington, Carly Anderson & Emily Tierney for top 3 Glinda's of the 7 I've seen (I love a comical Glinda!) Sue Kelvin and Kim Ismay are the best Morribles I've seen - both truly menacing!

Has anyone ever shoved to get closer to a Glinda?!
I still find it fascinating that the hysterics are always surrounding the Elphie's... ironic really as it's Glinda who is usually the popular one....

How could I possibly obsess over someone who doesn't have the big belty songs? Isn't belting what musical theatre is all about?

I've only seen Alexia once, Jennifer once and Rachel twice as Elphaba. Rachel was definitely my favourite, Jennifer was very good and Alexia was fine.
Glinda; I've seen Suzie who was definitely my favourite, Savannah who I thought was ok and Dianne who I couldn't have disliked any more if I tried.
My idea of hell is a place where Dianne's character voice for Glinda plays constantly in the background.

My top 3 that I've seen are Cassidy Janson, Louise Dearman and Christine Dwyer. To me, it feels as though Hayley Gallivan and Willemijn should be in there too. Loved all of those ladies in the role for different reasons. Idina kind of surpasses any of that for me though, as she was my first and no actress is likely to portray the role with such accolade (as she was the first here and on Broadway, Elphaba is synonymous with Idina) but also she played the role with such ease and effortlessness. You knew she felt she had nothing to prove. Glindas are Sarah Earnshaw, Louise (again) and I really love Suzie too. Looking forward to seeing her again when Willemijn is back. Dianne who I couldn't have disliked any more if I tried. My idea of hell is a place where Dianne's character voice for Glinda plays constantly in the background. I just wheezed this is so funny - and exactly how I felt at the time she was in the show! I saw her first show which was actually ok, but as she grew into the role she kind of developed these super annoying nuances. Looking back on it now though, I'm a little bit more mature, and I think she was great casting. Super different to Helen, and worked so well with Kerry it was so charming. A really special partnership, no matter what you think of either actress' portrayal of their roles.

Rachel and Suzie really are the dream-team out of the ones I have seen live, but the combination I have seen the most is Gina and Louise, which I saw 7 or 8 times because Louise Dearman is, well, Louise Dearman... need I say more?! Although, as previously mentioned, I did go twice in three days once during their run because Marc McBride was on as Boq too and he is a beautiful man, great performer and that is may favourite role! One of my prized posessions is actually a Wicked brochure. Even though i have about 8 or 9, on Gina and Louise's final show, I staged doored (which I don't often do! I just can't with these screaming queens at the door 24/7! After a song, sure, wail away, I'll even join ya!) and got the autographs of all 8 main cast members and every ensemble member I had seen during that run cover a lead! It looks so pretty in silver sharpie, I am proud of that one. But that is as far I would go at a stage door experience!

(1): Jodie Steele: Superb acting! A very genuine approach to the role. Gorgeous voice with a nice raspy belt, and the riffs! This lady can sing but her acting truly stole the show. I can't quite pinpoint it, but there is something special about her.
(2): Nikki Davis-Jones: The best acted Elphaba I have seen. Dry, sarcastic humour. A very well thought out Elphaba who conveys every emotion effortlessly. She has quite the powerful belt that you would not expect listening to her. She really IS Elphaba.
(3): Natasha Ferguson / Rachel Tucker: Natasha is a fierce Elphaba! She really could play Glinda in the show as she has the "queen bee" vibe to her. A serious belter, which you would not expect from the understudy, with a nice few riffs thrown in here and there. Fierce, stubborn and strong willed.
Rachel deserves all the hype she receives. Seriously, she was out of this world. Her voice is probably one of the strongest I have ever heard in musical theatre and the fact she did all her signature riffs when I saw her only added to the awe-inspiring performances. Her acting is so ferocious yet we can still see the vulnerability in her Elphaba when necessary. A true Wicked legend
(5): Jacqueline Hughes: Jackie is such an amazing Elphaba. She has a set of pipes on her that truly go unrivaled when she is giving it 100%. She doesn't need to riff to express the power behind her voice. When she gives it her all, she is truly phenomenal.
(6): Ashleigh Gray: A very compassionate Elphaba. She gives a very emotive performance and you can tell she has performed the role so many times. When vocally healthy, her voice is both powerful and quite beautiful.
(7) Emma Hatton: ... Yeah...

I've only seen Hayley Gallivan, Willemijn (x2) and Natasha Ferguson (2nd u/s on the tour). For me, Willemijn is queen. She's my favourite musical theatre performer full stop, and I loved everything about her as Elphaba. I'm not one to fangirl (very much (any more)) but if it was going to be over someone it'd be over Willemijn! I can't wait to see her again in Feb. I think my ranking would be...
1) Willemijn 2) Natasha Ferguson 3) Hayley Gallivan
Although I thought all three of them were excellent!
Glindas I've seen are Gina Beck, Savannah Stevenson (x2) and Emily Tierney. They were all good and I don't really have a favourite.

See... I liked Willemijn alot, but I didn't think she was incredible. I didn't understand the hype of her because when I saw her (her second performance in London) she was really good, but it didn't make me feel like she was this iconic, definitive Elphaba. But maybe I just didn't get it then, and I am looking forward to going back and seeing her again because she was a really good Elphaba!
I've been lucky to of at least liked all of my Elphaba's and Glinda's, one or two really were not right for this specific role though, but my rank is something like:
Elphaba...
1. Rachel Tucker (3) 2. Louise Dearman (7) 3. Hayley Gallivan (1) 4. Jennifer DiNoia (1) 5. Willemijn Verkaik (1) 6. Nikki Davis-Jones (1) 7. Emma Hatton (2)
Glinda...
1. Suzie Mathers (3) 2. Louise Dearman (1) 3. Savannah Stevenson (3) 4. Gina Beck (8) 5. Sophie Linder-Lee (1)

My first post on the board, usually I am a quiet reader:) But... Favourite Elphabas are - Willemijn Verkaik - she's basically just my favourite performer and I started to follow her career after seeing her in London Wicked, so would be rather special to see her back in green Louise Dearman - my first ever Elphaba, loved every minute of her on stage Jacqueline Hughes - saw her this summer in Bradford - she is amazing in terms of acting and her voice is beautiful
Favourite Glindas -
Sophie Liner-Lee - I loved how she combined the funny side and struggling of Glinda Carly Anderson Gina Beck Although I think if I would ever see Louise live as Glinda she would be my favorite
And I love Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible. Basically I like her as an actress and singer for quite some time and her Morrible is just confirms for me her awesomeness (sorry if I phrased that weirdly:)

Fave Elphaba Rachel. By a mile.
The chasing pack Kerry (for the 9th May 2009 alone and for being my first she will always be in the top three) Jacqui Maybe Jenny and Ash to make up the top 5 followed by NDJ who gets an extra point for being so bloody lovely. Definitely the nicest Elphaba I have ever met.
Others seen; Alexia, Louise, Wil, Emma, Haley, Natalie A, Tasha F, Jemma
whilst all good in their own way they sort of all blur into "the others"
Glindas My first ever seen was Kendra but I can't remember a thing about it as I was an emotional mess (!), so she can't make the top of the charts
Fave- Dianne P
Followed by Emily and Gina Suzie and Sarah make up the top 5 closely followed by Carina and Lucy Newton who I thought was fabulous
Others seen; Louise, Savannah, Sophie LL, Lucy VG, Carly
Fave Standby pairing- Ash and Sarah were AMAZING
Fave Fiyero- I tend to judge purely on the basis of whether I fancy him. Sorry not sorry. So the fave is Oliver T followed by Bradley, Mark and Oliver S.
Fave Elphaba never seen- Jennifer Tierney as she never got a cover show. So mean of the producers when you think what's gone on since
Elphaba performance I wish I'd seen- Katie RJ out of morbid curiosity
Fave midwife seen- Fifth cover. Obviously.

Welcome Katya!!
Am I one of the few on here that saw Idina? Feel lucky to have seen her 3 times back in 2006. A tour de force - bootlegs just don't capture the full rollercoaster seeing her live takes you on. It's just not possible to gain a rounded representation of Idina (or anyone for that matter) from listening to recordings.

Totally agree.
Take note Daniel/Alice Ferne fan (not that he will be reading as I am sure he will be at Evita opening night).
