It's been 10 years since Idina Menzel's last ever Elphaba show. Was anyone there? From what I hear it was a crazier night than any other cast change, except maybe Kerry's 2009 last.

Great one! But I still prefer that one version from 01/06/12 with Gina Beck as Glinda. It got deleted from youtube I loved that one so much. It made me decide to see Wicked in the first place. I remember the exact title was "Wicked - Rachel Tucker - Defying Gravity 01/06/12 (Best performance ever!)". And in the description it said the other cast members had tweeted about this performance during the interval.

Yeah i remember that one, for me, that one and this one are her best in my opinion, She's so powerful here and does all her riffs like the too long i've been afraid of, There's riff and then all of them in the flying section!

And the growls are perfect as well! I hope I'll find it again some day. It's just the best rendition of that song ever imo. If anyone finds it, please let me know

They even came up with some dumb-ass name for a fake newspaper. Pathetic!

This is the big question. I believe it's called cognitive dissonance, holding two directly contradictory beliefs. RACHEL IS FLAWLESS, and simultaneously overrated and sh*t. But also perfect. And awful.

Can't believe that four weeks today Rachel will play Elphaba for the last time (well, so we assume but pretty sure it will be.)
Its going to be quite a special show I think.

I was just thinking how excited I am to go and see Wicked in February. It'll be my first time in years. Last Wicked I saw was the tour in 2014! SO looking forward to seeing Willemijn again as she's my absolute fave Although I do wish I'd seen Rachel at least once, given how legendary her performance has become!

I might see her last show. I'll be in London that day. I just hope I can get affordable seats. But chances are it will be sold out soon.

The first rule about Rachel's last is that we don't talk about Rachel's last. (sobs) Though how wonderful was her last last show! The matinee even more so with all the little cheeky touches.

Yes, her last last was incredible - what an experience. I didn't even mind the cheering because I could actually still hear her as I was sat in the cirle and the noise seemed to be coming mostly from the stalls.
I can't be at her last show this year but I am going the weekend before to see the matinee. I reckon this will be Rachel finished with Elphaba so I am looking forward to seeing her in the role one last time.

And will be one of the hands up crazy ones this time. Her previous last show stands in my top 3 theatre experiences of all time (alongside Miss Saigon 25 and Sunset with Glenn Close)

Some people take it too far - it's her last performance in a show, not the end of the world!

I've succumbed to the hype and just booked for cast change... I'm guessing it's going to be crazier than some of the recent ones I've been to but couldn't be left out of an opportunity for some fan-girling!

Definitely wont be crying in dialogue don't panic!

Anyone knows what was going on with today's dayseat queue? I was there early and first in line, but when the box office opened, the queue went back to the stage door. I've done a quick head count and ended up at roughly 75 persons, and it's a one show day...
It weren't the usual fans either (in fact, I think I was the only one...)

New Year theatre trip for many since they couldn't go yesteday?
