Not booked, but their algorithm must fill from the centre outwards - every day I looked at it offered me seats bang in the middle.
(Sorry, I have a weird geeky interest in booking systems and seat allocations!)

Thought it was rather patronising seeing some of the cast on the news yesterday saying that SiX opening proves shows can be done. Sure, if you can live on a fraction of your usual box office income, of course they can be done! You’re not proving anything.

It’s just a concert at the end of the day so hardly proof of a rebirth of theatre, but it is the green shoots of a new beginning in this murky darkness. Let’s just take the positivity where we can.

I keep being offered Stalls Row O seat 3 for £24.95. Is this seat decent? Can't wait to actually see this show properly from a decent seat. First time I saw it my seat was fantastic but it got stopped 5 minutes in... Second time my seat was terrible Third time Covid cancelled! I rushed to book reopening night as soon as I got the email and got a central seat. After seeing this I’ve booked for a second visit in January in that seat (the day I should have been seeing Harry Potter) so this will be a shorter evening!

I'm obviously very special! TodayTix has just sent me a notification for access to its 'exclusive' 24 hour pre-sale, only 4 days after TheatreBoard's own pre-sale...and the tickets cost more for the privilege.
Incidentally, should anyone wish to select their own seats, rather than have them allocated, it's now possible via the link on Page 95.

With reports or another lockdown on the horizon, I wonder how the producers/Nimax are feeling right now, with their first show due to open next month.

Hopefully they’ll use it as an opportunity to show the government what can be done safely, protecting audience and cast at the same time whilst still bringing in money. Creating turnover is what they’re going for even if it isn’t profitable turnover. If an outbreak occurs an element will be locked down. I think this is how we need to proceed if we’re ever to get our lives back. Live with it, not die from it (and that isn’t meant glibly, just the only practical solution we have without a vaccine.).

In the upcoming season do you think they'll consider hiring another alternate? The cast board already being up makes me think not, but given they're performing an extra show a week plus the possible risk of covid shutting down a cast member for two weeks (let alone more than one) I would have thought it would be sensible.
Or maybe they're waiting till they can guarantee they're going ahead (or relying on previous cast members being available to fill in if needed)

Or maybe they're waiting till they can guarantee they're going ahead (or relying on previous cast members being available to fill in if needed) I believe West End has always had a 9 show week, which is why their alternate schedule is so erratic compared to tour as the show off is a legal entitlement of their contract. On tour however I think the show off is one per fortnight, which is why tour alternates don’t seem to be on as much. So as they’ll now have 9 shows a week, I think tour may be in need of a swing to have just as an emergency.

I'm gutted that they've made the choice to open on the Saturday (all going well with lockdown easing of course) - I had a front row ticket for Friday 4th.
