Anyone who was due to attend, or know anyone who was due to attend, Ariana Grande's tour has now been cancelled, until at least June. So 7 shows cancelled thus far, including both at The O2 Arena. The right decision, as this poor girl must be going through so much in her head right now. I wouldn't be entirely surprised or judge her for cancelling the tour all together (due to continue through the end of the year) but at the same time, we can't let these terrible people win.

No one is suggesting preventing Muslims from praying. That would be disgusting and I would happily march against it. What is a problem, however, is new Mosques. They are not normally regulated by the same strict controls as established ones and attract converts who are normally more prone to committing terrorism. The nutters go on about hook hand but never acknowledge that Finsbury Park Mosque banned him. The established mosques are a fine example of Islam as a honorable World faith for the most part. Unlike many members of this board, I don't go searching for your work. But can honestly sat I have never read a post you have written that is not full of anger. I can feel the hatred as you type coming through the keyboard. Please, please act on the five second rule before you post.
Peace and love fella
We may or may not agree with edmundokeano, but I see nothing in that particular post that is full of anger or hate. I did a quick Google search on the key terms and the first page of results yielded two from UK broadsheets that also suggested new mosques tend to be viewed with some suspicion - though I won't restate the reasons here lest I'm wrongly accused of some terrible thought crime myself! Just because someone's opinion may differ from the way the prevailing wind in this forum is blowing, doesn't automatically make them a bad person. I mean, just remember that line from Casablanca. ;-)

Got an email that automatic refunds have been issued for Ariana's concerts in the next few days
In case anyone else was meant to go, you don't need to worry about contacting them to refund your tickets

For anyone who wants more disbelief in their life after these horrific events, Rufus Hound is currently going off on one on twitter, where he believes himself so cynical that he can't keep the possibility out of his head that the current Government somehow orchestrated/allowed these attacks in an attempt to gain an advantage in the upcoming election. It's really quite something.

I think she and her people made the right, and maybe the only decision possible under the circs.
It's all very well doing the "we carry on as normal" mantra but there would be a massive shadow cast over the rest of the tour.

I knew it would only be a few days before someone was claiming that it was a government plot. In a couple of months there'll be people claiming it didn't happen at all.

I both for the sake of her own mental health and the whole situation, it is best.

Apparently Steve Brookstein was doing this the day after it happened. We can blame the 'military industrial complex', apparently. The moment I heard it confirmed as an attack, my first thought was 'This will probably help May in the election'. My second thought was 'So how long before the conspiracy theories start?' Didn't have to wait long, did we?

On the page on Facebook set up for Olivia Campbell yesterday in amongst all the messages hoping she be found was one idiot who wrote a couple of paragraphs about how it was a false flag attack and not only that she wasn't missing but that she didn't exist, the attack hadn't happened as there was no footage and all the names mentioned including Olivia s were made up by the secret service to make us all hate Muslims

I knew it would only be a few days before someone was claiming that it was a government plot. In a couple of months there'll be people claiming it didn't happen at all. On the page on Facebook set up for Olivia Colman yesterday in amongst all the messages hoping she be found was one idiot who wrote a couple of paragraphs about how it was a false flag attack and not only that she wasn't missing but that she didn't exist, the attack hadn't happened as there was no footage and all the names mentioned including Olivia s were made up by the secret service to make us all hate Muslims There is a real problem with people who get their 'news' from social media. It's how these conspiracy theorists flourish, because they get treated as equal to an actual news organisation. The irony is that they ape what organisations like ISIS do, exaggerating, promoting feelings over facts and scapegoating anyone who is seen as other.

Those first 3 or 4 hours after an incident where you get all the people thinking its funny to put fake videos up and speculate wildly gives way to conspiracy theorists who enjoy the aftermath of publicity for their loopy ideas.. The scary thing is I think some of them believe their own nonsense.

Didn't have to wait long, did we? who? He won the first ever series of X Factor. When the success he was promised didn't materialise and Syco (Simon Cowell's record label) dropped him quietly, he became very bitter and ever since has used social media to blame anyone and everyone for the failures of the world - mainly women, Muslims and political correctness I believe.

I don't retweet those 'has anyone seen this person' appeals now because I know they get jumped on by hoaxers immediately anything happens. Half the pictures you see circulated will be of people who weren't even there - and mainstream news organisations will fall for it every time. I don't understand how anyone can find faking a missing person appeal funny. It seems to be a way of harrassing specific people by making their friends and family concerned about them.

2-minute silence at (London) Victoria this morning. We did one at the NT as well. Missed the 4pm one Tuesday (driving so technically didn't but never feels right) so was good to be able to share this one.
