Blimey! That'd be even more gobbledegook than the original! Not sure my Latin's up to it. But I do love that map. Here's a Baker's tube map, seeing as we're on a theme.... assets.londonist.com/uploads/2015/09/bakingtubeflat1_edited-2.jpgWe could use this one on the Mornington Croissant thread just to liven it up a bit.. Personal favourites are Kneadsden, Dollop Hill and Mary-Berry-leBone

Eye drop method brilliant spesh for kids. Thanks.
Quite nice day, Raphael drawings at Ashmoleon in Oxford. Nice lunch at Turl kitchen. There is also excellent little exhibition about Jane Austen at the new Bodleian Library building. And started another Jacqueline Winspear Maisie Dobbs novel. Now you know all you need to know about me.

My train back from London was invaded by a huge party of alleged ravers, so the Police ordered everyone off - even those of us obviously far too old & decrepit to be doing anything other than trying to get home - difficult enough with GTR at the best of times.

Not a bad couple of days but I think Ive upset someone on twitter by sending them a link that was very much meant as a joke. Theyve deleted their account, of course I could be overthinking things

A lot of people on Twitter are phenomenally bad at reading jokes and levity. I made the mistake of falling down the rabbit hole and reading people's replies to this one this morning:
Some people are way too ready to read stupidity and malice into even the silliest little things.

Oh wow!! A lot of people logged into twitter yesterday not quite ready to be people just yet...

That was hilarious.
Some people are just completely incapable of spotting a joke. It reminds me of the frequently-posted images of companies with names that have innuendo-laden meanings, and there are invariably people who think that the company has screwed up because it doesn't occur to them that the memorable innuendo is the whole point of the name.

Mine was a link to an article about trouble caused by drunk people at a Little Mix concert at a racecourse at the weekend which allegedly left young children traumatised. I messaged someone who attended saying were you causing trouble which I meant entirely as a joke and following it the person in question has deleted their twitter

I'd be inclined to take the account deletion as confirmation of guilt, personally...

I'd be inclined to take the account deletion as confirmation of guilt, personally... Actually, I'd sort of thought that too. Account deletion is different to blocking someone, isn't it? If someone's annoyed you wouldn't you just block them?

infofreako I enjoy that next-level twitter investigation. Not that I've ever *cough* done something similar.

I was shocked and puzzled to find that my Twitter account had apparently been blocked by a West End theatre - albeit a small one. I don't recall ever tweeting them and I wouldn't be abusive so why? What passes for my mind is boggling...

Some people genuinely don't notice them, though, so you can never be sure if they were deliberate or not. At work we had an initiative for a while called 'production never sleeps', which got shortened to PNS. Said out loud quickly - the way you would rattling through a team workload update in a meeting - half the room was stifling laughter and the other half had no idea why people were sniggering.

Finally crossed something off my bucket-list on Sunday night... no, not that... Penn and Teller, performing "Miser's Dream" live. . The most beautiful illusion and commentary on the value of live gold over dead silver, ever. Waited 30 years to see them live, and was desperately hoping they would do that routine. And they did. Still buzzing even now. Will blog tomorrow and the line for tickets to the next UK tour starts behind me, I think, LOL. I was there Sunday night. Beautiful illusion. Id seen them before in Vegas and on their last tour

Id seen them before in Vegas and on their last tour I also saw penn and teller bit on Friday and while that illusion was really good and possibly the highlight the rest of the show for me fell a bit flat. I was really excited to see penn and teller live but the show did not have anything new and I wanted more big and grand illusions. Then ding one with the traps wasn't not much of a magic trick either and a sweep what annoyed me a bit was only the people in th front rows were properly involved and on stage as they paid the most money but my ticket was still quite a lot and I ended up watching the screen for the most part. I did enjoy the show but was quite disappointed

I always feel if a trick goes wrong in a magic show it gives the illusionists a human side. Its always nice to watch how they deal with it.
In terms of seating position I was a few rows in front of you theatremonkey but also felt very involved. I can imagine those upstairs may have struggled at times but thought on the whole it was pitched pretty well.
Im a big fan of magic generally so with me they were very much preaching to the converted.
@theatremonkey.com have you ever been to any of the magic circle showcases

Mini Tibs just home from last ever A level (chemistry) (and a long session in Nandos!) and had been unable to tell me earlier on the phone that she'd revised all the right bits (yay!) as most of her friends came out crying....ooops!
Really proud of her. Whatever the results.
