Another yay for the NHS and my awesome nurse who is a) lovely b) remembers me c) does not believe in messing about with medication unless she has to and has set me free from appointments for a full year. AND without anyone draining me of blood today.
And for those of you paying attention...yes I turned up on the right day this week.

I had a great day. I went to Bletchley Park for the first time. Fascinating and way too much to take in. Luckily the ticket lasts for a year!

Cool where I am today. ( for Tib..) Cool? It's 2-buttons-done-up-on-cardy-cold here. NHS stories cheered me up (as has the thought of mallardo on the town in the rain *ducks*) after I spent hours applying for a job using the wrong form.....do they have any idea how long it takes when you have 97 years experience to squash into 2inch boxes?

Am about to start 3rd day of babysitting grandkids - nursery run. Rumbles of thunder outside - it may be pouring for all I know. Just had email to ask if I can make shore they stay dry. Also sayingneed me to look after them Saturday morning. Replied "No". - West End live will not be refused! YAY!! Go anita - but remember, you don't need an excuse. As the Grange Hill Kids used to sing - "Just Say No!" And I'd have been very tempted to make sure they got absolutely soaked............... [:-0

I appreciate your thinking of me, Tibidabo, and you'll be pleased (?) to know that none of the many hovering clouds leaked rain and the show was brilliant.

Brunch & half a game of scrabble with a good friend and her daughter. No work. One walk. Just about to settle down to Newsies.

I just don't understand how everyone in this country forgets that summer lasts for 5 days max and purchases advance tickets for outdoor shows. Glad you enjoyed it. But I'll pass and settle for reading your review thanks!

Celine Dion was amazinggggg But I've learnt my lesson to buy tickets on the day of the concert Some people were selling as low as £15 when I paid £120 for mine grr Before ebay moved all the ticket sales over to stubhub it was so much easier to pick up last minute bargains like this.

I used to pick up many a cheap ticket from ebay. Stubhub is a waste of space.

I used to pick up many a cheap ticket from ebay. Stubhub is a waste of space. Ive had many a success with Stubhub. You have to pick your battles but for big gigs, most recently Justin Bieber at Hyde Park for my daughter i picked up a pair of £75 plus fees tickets for £25 including fees this very afternoon. This has maintained by best Dad ever status for another couple of weeks. I rewarded myself with a similarly good deal for Green Day the night before

I used ebay for theatre tickets, but I've never found any suitable theatre bargains on Stubhub.

I always feel dirty using it because Im so against the secondary ticket market most of the time but I ease my conscience knowing I'm scoring a tiny victory against their business model

Anyone got any ideas for games they could start a new thread with? I'm bored, stuck in with an oven cleaner.

Tilt your head slightly, close the eye, put drops in the corner next to your nose, open the eye and the drops run in. It's better than trying to put the drops in "straight on" as there is no blink reflex to put it all straight out again. She'd never heard of it, but admitted that his other eye had healed amazingly fast, so who was she to criticise. Just wondered now if anyone else does it that way?! Yes! I used that method on my neighbour and also when I have to put kids' eye drops in at school.

Another eyedrops vote Monkey! Taught my Mum it too (not that she uses the drops given mutter mutter)
A very quiet day in work as most of my team are off on a jolly, I mean very serious meeting, in North Wales. Currently trying to resist the lure of some online shopping...failing.

I am not a hoarder.
