Came back from my walk to find a heron walking round the garden, it periodically visits the pond but i've never seen it elsewhere just wandering round like it had not a care in the world. The kitchen door was open with my mother and 2 dogs inside so they were all clearly unobservant and non threatening. I haven't seen any of the fish in days so assuming they've already worked their way round a heron's digestive system. I wonder what it is after next?

Do you bleach the bleach? If a bottle of bleach was included in a delivery then yes I would bleach it.
I don't know why but none of the supermarkets we use have had thin bleach in stock for months so today I had to use thick bleach instead. I discovered that thick bleach is much foamier than thin bleach. There was foam dripping all over the kitchen!
Have you considered Dettol spray Dawnstar?

Oh yes I have dettol spray, I run round spray door handles etc when no one is looking and my mother every time thinks it's perfume it smells that nice.
Watched half of three sisters yesterday on ntathome but was a bit grim so today swapped over to the Cherry orchard but as ever I just find myself yelling 'sell the orchard you ridiculous people' at it.

peggs , thank you for solving my dilemma if I should watch Three Sisters tonight. (I won't. Don't need any grim things in my life at the moment.) Have you watched anything on the NT at Home that you consider worth recommending? :) (I've seen Yerma, Mosquitoes, Julie and Angels in America so far. Cannot seem to get myself to watch the classics, although I know I should, so a nudge in the right direction if anything is really good would be most welcome.) I keep going back to Angels and rewatching random scenes from it, I'm absolutely in awe of how amazingly it was done. I should just sit down and rewatch the whole thing, but it feels like such a huge chunk of time to spend on something I've already seen. (I'm pretty sure I'll still do it before the month is over, given that I don't think I'll be extending my NT membership for now.)

I really rate the Othello on there, okay it not a bundle of laughs so may not be what you're after. I quite liked the ideas in Consent too and thought Dara worth a watch though it's not jolly either, I don't think they've put anything on that is rather grim have they.

Oh, I forgot to mention Consent among the once I've seen - I loved that, thought it was excellent! Have not seen Dara, though, and Othello sounds like a good suggestion, too. I'm a bit too late to start that tonight, since it's back to work for me from tomorrow morning, but I'll definitely watch it, thank you! :) I'll definitely watch Three Sisters, too, I like the idea of that production and was actually sad to have missed it when it was on at the NT, it's just that I really want something light to end this weekend with.

I think the archieve ones are some of the more interesting productions on offer really and the ones I tend to have missed. Amedeus as well, worth a view I think.
Boo, back to work in the morning, me too, am feeling the sunday dread.

I think my neighbours have been naughty. Someone in a "Census 2021" high-vis jacket was knocking on their door ten minutes ago. They appear to be out but their dog is still being extremely vocal about the disturbance.

Depressing seeing all the media & social media coverage of things re-opening on the same day as being told we have to do pre-operative self-isolating for the next 2 weeks (not me being operated on). Not that I was intending to visit anywhere that has just re-opened but it's still depressing to know I can't even if I did want to.

Someone in a "Census 2021" high-vis jacket was knocking on their door ten minutes ago. At least your government wants people to participate in the census. The 2020 US census was a joke... the Trump administration did everything they could to sabotage it, including reducing the time allotted to conduct it. A friend was one of the workers trying to interview those 'naughty' folks who hadn't responded and she had to battle little training, a reporting app that didn't work, work assignments that failed to materialize and more. On the other hand, because I was in lockdown in the UK last year, I missed the US census. But because I'd been in the UK since September, I was eligible to participate in your census! Guaranteed to confuse any future family historians looking for me!

My mum in law has just started going out shopping again and brought me some flowers to say thanks for all the shopping I've done for them over the past few months.

Yes had hair cut today too. Got to look respectable as seeing my parents in Liverpool for the 1st time since last August. Can't wait. Hope it won't eb too cold as we have to find some where to eat outdoors! Will see them properly indoors early June. Couldn't wait until then though.

Although it wasn't confirmed until later, Mater had the Pfizer vaccine (or P-fizzler as she calls it). Remember, BurlyBeaR, you regaled us with the story of you being fed porridge from a bottle. Now that the age range has been lowered, I've just booked my jabs online, which even I managed in only a couple of minutes. Very impressed. I could have gone as soon as tomorrow, but opted for Sunday afternoon instead...after Elaine, obvs!

Did you have any from the first jab? Two colleagues and I had covid like symptoms. Tests all came back negative. We put it down to January coughs and colds

I've just had my first haircut since some time around September. The hair at the back of my neck had pretty much acquired a personality of its own for the last couple of months.
While I was there someone phoned up and asked if they were likely to be busy on Saturday and what time would be quietest. Busy? On the first Saturday that barbers and hairdressers are open this year?

Saw boss for first time in a year today in the office, she failed to follow a single covid secure rule, didn't sign it, use sanitiser, keep distance (at one point she tried going through a single door I was stood in) sat at desk next to me (they're set up so you can't use one next to each other/back to back etc) and thoroughly acted like nothing was different. She also then took calls on speaker phone so I couldn't do any work (I was set up for the day to work there), there were other rooms she could have used but no!
