Strange no sports ones have been announced yet, we have 12 officially - Debbie McGee and Alexandra Burke seem to be locks from what we are reading. Also no over 60's either or a real younger contestant. Aston at 29 is probably youngest until Alexandra who turns 29 soon is announced.
Chizzy is in an established show and could be entertaining. Charlotte is posh totty as said above, I have no idea how well she can potentially dance.
Good to see a nice BAME mix too. It will be hard to guess who will do best amongst the middle ranking ones - Charlotte and Chizzy being a case in point - Charlotte may be a slimmer more elegant build but Chizzy will have huge edge in performance and maybe confidence on the floor.
Who do people think could be first out - Rev Coles sadly stands out for me unless say Debbie doesn't get public votes.

Debbie is a trained ballet dancer, I hardly think she'll be gone by week one

Cool final three, especially happy about Jonnie Peacock, very much looking forward to the series as always and getting to know the ones I don't really know yet! Bring it on

On the face of it, I'm not particularly excited, but I know that by the end of week one I will be totally hooked! Now if only we could get some decent presenters .....

Excited for Jonnie Peacock...and weirdly Debbie McGee. I know less of them than usual but hey ho actually that probably means I'll make up my mind based on their performance/personality rather than having a favourite already.

Really, they've saved the best for last. The only interesting one of the whole lot is Jonnie Peacock. Unless he's spectacularly bad, you'd have to put money on him winning. Young, good looking, seems a lovely fun guy, a world class athlete, great ambassador for his sport and the paralympic movement and a HUGE inspirational role model for anyone who has any kind of disability. I hope he gets a really interesting partner.

I hope he gets a really interesting partner. Agree. As there is no more Flavia, Janette would be perfect - she's so tiny he'd stand a good chance of mastering the lifts and she's really inventive.

I've met Debbie McGee a few times, genuinely lovely lady. Perhaps we should start calling her the 'lovely' Debbie McGee. You never know, it could catch on! She's doing panto in York this year, with him off Coronation Street and one of the Blue boys.

I had thought that Aston being the smallest guy might get Janette but I agree that her and Jonnie P would be a good fit. Aston could be paired with Chloe in that case. With Jonnie P and Chloe being the youngest Celeb and Pro then there could be logic in putting them together but I would agree that the more experienced Janette would be a better fit for him as she should have more choreography ideas.
Jonnie I expect is a fairly strong guy but if he'll need to find balance with the lifts then a lighter partner seems only fair.
With 3 new female pros this year plus Chloe who hasn't had a celeb partner yet joining Oti, Karen, Janette and Katya and only 7 male celebs, it will mean that one female pro will miss out, I wonder if it might be Amy Dowden the new Welsh pro given that the other two new pros seem slightly higher profile and I'd guess that Chloe will not sit out another year if we assume the 4 returning pros will all get partners.

One male pro is going to miss out too. I hope it's not Neil again. I would feel sorry for Gorka if it's him as it's only his second year and he didn't get to go far last year. Out of the others I think it's pretty fair game but I have my favourites and ones I don't like.

I'd be perfectly happy if Karen and Kevin were the ones to sit out (I can always fast forward all the pro dances they'd get to do instead). I have a suspicion Karen is going to get the Reverend though, she's very good with the older, slightly less naturally capable, funny characters.

I thought with the new pros that there were 16 now and there are 15 celebs (8 female, 7 male) if I have miscounted please let me know.
Gorka I doubt would sit out as he is considered one of the hottest male dancers, so if one does sit then maybe AJ could be the one if they want to get Neil involved.
We of course don't know what the contracts are - Neil may only be contracted for Pro/Show dances for all we know.

There are 17 pros, 14 from last year (though that includes Neil and Chloe who didn't have partners)
Anton du Beke, Brendan Cole, Kevin Clifton, Neil Jones, Pasha Kovalev, Gorka Marquez, Aljaž Škorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and AJ Pritchard; alongside Karen Clifton, Chloe Hewitt, Katya Jones, Janette Manrara and Oti Mabuse
Plus the 3 new female pros
Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova and Amy Dowden
So with 15 celebs two will miss out on partners.

Cheers Vdcni, having a spare male and female pro makes perfect sense although there is a spare male if you have people paired off for group dances. It will be interesting to see which male pros the new female pros dance mainly with outside of the set couples.

Not only saddled with a Daily Mail-spewing attention-hogging smug-tastic husband but also everybody's "least likely to succeed" and it hasn't even started yet! Even if she had three legs instead of the standard one or two required, we'd still prefer everyone else. Sad face.
