Well to be honest I always thought that Gorka wouldn't have even raised an eyebrow at Alexandra or Gemma stroking his thigh, let alone anything else. Joe or Jonnie though . . .
You never can tell nowadays.

all the talk was about crotch-gate. Is that what they're calling chastity belts these days?

So the plan was Aston, Joe, Alex and Debbie for the final but it went wonky midway. Ryan, I think I agree with you re Gorka. But then who knows? And who cares?

I’ve never seen a single minute of this programme. I’ve also never seen a single episode of Bake Off, Friends, Game of Thrones, Seinfeld, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Will & Grace, I’m A Celebrity. I could go on. I saw one episode of Top Gear once when William Woodard was in it and that was enough.

Some of which you even shorten the titles in the same way people who watch the shows do. So what drew you to a thread about a show you've never watched before? Or did you drop by just to tell us so that we know your TV habits are not populist? 😉

Not sure if this has been mentioned but the Beeb are changing the format of the final this year. There won't be any elimination part way through the final and all of the couples will perform all three dances; a show dance, a Judge's pick and their own favourite dance. This was always their intention according to the Beeb. It has nothing to do with anything that has happened this series. Absolutely nothing.
Apparently.

Well there were loads of complaints when we didn't get to see the show dance prepared by one couple because they were knocked out half way through. If they made it to the final they should be there till the end. Seems only fair, and the knockout round was only a way to get more money out of viewers phoning their votes in. Does anyone still do that?

I'm glad to see Ryan you have got your fur out for Christmas. I guess with all this cold weather you had no choice!

Wow really felt like they are trying to change public opinion on Alexandra tonight. Very forced - and not very convincing. To be fair, I think it's the least they could do. She's had false stories written about her since the series began- diva behaviour, meltdowns, feuds etc. The source has almost always been the Sun. Strangely enough, the Showbiz editor there has shut up since she called him out on it last week. There were reports on Twitter that BBC is taking legal action against the Sun as it has tarnished the 'family reputation' of the show, but who knows. Considering her very recent bereavement, I think the treatment of her has been appalling.

Glad we are seeing all the dances from each person. Dancing is what it is all about. They can cut the guest singers. Please.

Does anyone still do that? The eliminated couple used to dance their showdance anyway, just not for votes. I can't see why they can't just go back to that, and then have two or three couples competing to the end. It seems ridiculous that we will never know who came 2nd, 3rd or 4th - they'll all just be "runners up"...

Actually, I'd like Joe to win it but I have to support Debbie on behalf of us oldies!

Have put my back out replicating Joe and Katya's Argentine Lift with Mr T. Well, I have no idea who I want to win - I may vote if anyone (not Gemma) does anything worthy, though it's not looking likely I'll be watching live anyway.

I'm #TeamJoe all the way. But I'd also love Debbie to win (if only to hear the excited Deeeebbbbbbbiiiieee) when she does. Poor Gemma love, I'm glad it's you not Mollie in the final but still. And Alexandra, while by no means what the tabloids make her out to be still does nothing for me really. Still she'll have a nice musical off the back of it again so all is well. (as long as I get my Joe in a tour as well )

Do the BBC publish the voting results after the series has finished?

A little disappointing from Debbie's show dance in that she reverted to safe territory with her ballet training but there is a reason ballet dancers retire at an early age. Darcey was very tactful in her remarks.
Gemma seemed to be auditioning for Chicago!!!!
Joe's show dance too a little disappointing - too much faffing about!
Not a fan of Alexandra but she did the best show dance combining so many different elements.
