^ Well at least I’ll be sitting in the warm! (I’m considering doing a cold collation so I can watch and nibble simultaneously. Although I will admit that multi-tasking is not exactly my province...)

Strictly featured on Gogglebox again this week, and instead of marvelling at the elasticity of Debbie’s legs as usual, the Goggleboxers were treated to Alexandra and Gorka’s Mary Poppins themed charleston. They weren’t impressed by the mini-skirt, although everyone was bowled over by the actual dance. Afterwards they all commented on Alexandra’s seeming lack of popularity with the viewers, although it remained a mystery to most as to why this should be. Ellie and Izzi from Leeds (I’m not sure which is which, a bit like Ant and Dec) thought they’d hit the nail on the head: “I’ll tell you what it is,” said one. “She likes the smell of her own farts...”

The TV schedules have been published. The final starts at 6.30pm and runs straight through, without another programme in the middle, until 9pm. If I'm not to miss a split second, I shall need a Follies-like bladder!!! I'm sure there'll be an awful music act or two that will allow for a bathroom break! It's been at least 2 weeks since Ball and Boe have been on there.... (I'm kidding, I love me some Balls)

(I'm kidding, I love me some Balls) You nearly made me snort my morning coffee! I think one of the performances has to be Ed Sheeran, because that was recorded a few weeks ago and isn't being used this week.

Wow really felt like they are trying to change public opinion on Alexandra tonight. Very forced - and not very convincing.

No...theyd have been better leaving alone. Even the song choice felt contrived (that could be a coincidence of course) but Shirleys comments and the post dance interview definitely weren't

First Round - Joe - AS - quite entertaining, not the most ambitious AS we have seen - but it was ok Alexandra - VW - lots of spinning on the spot and it took a long time to get going into an actual dance - I wasn't blown away, the remarks from the judges were clearly designed to bolster her. It wasn't worth a 10 from anyone. Mollie - Samba - not expecting anything at all from her - she even makes walking downstairs look awkward - she can't do the basics of this dance (rolls were really poor throughout) Gemma - Rumba - this will be poor - it is almost devoid of content. Early use of pyros to deflect attention from the dance. How did she get this far? Very unimpressive. Debbie - Jive - a bit ungainly at times but a huge amount of footwork delivered very crisply. Full of energy and commitment. Not her best - but better than pretty much anyone else
All these fake VTs with comments from the 'public' are nauseating.
And the producers really need to tell Tess to SHUT UP. It has got beyond a joke how she gives her completely ill-informed opinions.

Round 2 - Joe - AT - it never works without traditional music, you need that latin music to give you the feel of the music. Otherwise it is just a show dance with some flicks. The choreography was tricksy and his costume looked like it came from Primark. Also he has been overdoing the fake tan. He looks close to mahogany. I didn't like it at all. Scored too highly. Alexandra - Salsa - fast and furious. Technically it looked secure. But it lacked any sense of fun. Ran of ideas at the end after the neck spin. Judges will overmark. They are determined to keep her out of danger. Trying to fix things never goes down well with the voting public. But if she does end up in the bottom two, she will be saved - even against Debbie. Mollie - Waltz - dull start and didn't get better from there. Not ambitious enough for a semi-final. Saccharine rather than sweet. She and Gemma don't deserve to be here. Gemma - Tango - Awful, awful frock - makes her look bigger than she actually is. Poor music choice. Head snaps aren't precise enough. Feels like going through the motions rather than attacking the dance floor with a tango. She didn't enjoy it. From his facial expressions, I think Alijaz wants to do panto next year. Debbie - Foxtrot - didn't like the first half but when it opened up, it was lovely.
Bottom 2 should be Mollie and Gemma - but we shall see

Still loving joe and katya. But what’s with Tess and Claudia grabbing the hands of the celebrities as soon as they come off the dance floor/go up the stairs. Some of them look a little uncomfortable.

Tess really annoys me with the hand holding as well. They are not children, leave them alone!

Hold on to yer Speedos folks....but I really liked Mollie's blue waltz dress! However, there endeth my liking of The Enamoured Ones. Tess needs to stop right now on all the 'beautiful connecshun' stuff as my puke bucket is in danger of running over.
Why was Katya in a Latin dress and Joe looking like he'd forgotten to get changed? I hate it when they dance in jeans' style trousers (unless they happen to be called Gorka) as it makes their bottoms stick out. That lift at the end has made me vote for the first time this series! Hurrah! I also loved their American Smooth - very Gene Kellyesque.
Alexandra was good, as usual, though I'm not sure that salsa merited 4 10s. I did like the red dress though. 2 good dresses in one evening.....what is going on? Oh, back to normal now as Mollie's Samba dress was quite obviously made out of Alexandra's famous Charleston outfit from last week - sort of matched her effort at Sambaing quite nicely I thought.
Debbie's amazing legs were almost too straight in that jive. She had new blue shoes on. How on earth do they manage with new shoes? They must need breaking in surely?
Was there someone else?

I loved Joe and Katya’s Argentine Tango, that move at the end was great. Shame about the stumble halfway through otherwise they should have got 10’s.

I loved Alexandra's Salsa, the first dance of the series that I actually thought was worth a 10 or four... Her Viennese Waltz was overmarked though and was out of hold so much it might as well have been an American Smooth.
Same goes for Debbie's Foxtrot, though it was well danced. Didn't like her Jive at all though - very laboured.
I thought Joe's American Smooth was great, but his Argentine Tango was off-balance throughout. Good characterisation though, and core muscles of steel from Katya for that last move!
Gemma was as underwhelming as she always is - no chemistry whatsoever in the Rumba and posture issues in the Tango, though I appreciated the amount of proper basic steps she tried to do.
Poor Mollie - the Samba was dreadful and it seemed to knock all her confidence for the Waltz, with the result that her footwork was really messy and she just looked terrified.
Really poor standard for a semi-final overall - last year was so much better, and seeing Danny in the audience only reminded me of that more!

Oh that was all a bit nauseating, I've not been a fan of Molly and her over use of the word literally but standing next to Tess and her patronising treatment she came over way better. Normally just watch on speed catch up so have missed just how irritating Tess has become.

Tess took so long saying good bye to both Mollie and Susan that I honestly thought any minute she was going to change the rules and say "Oh, ok, you can stay if you like!" Hated the break dance. Good to try different things, but I sincerely hope they don't bring that into the main show. I was actually surprised that the votes were unanimous - I thought they were equal in that dance off and that there would be a split decision....but what do I know? Nout, obviously! But it was more than time Mollie left....Aston woz robbed.

I thought Mollie won that dance-off, but the judges were never going to base it on the dance-off alone, not at this stage of the competition, so I wasn't surprised they put Gemma through.

Yes, the final four was fair enough , apart from no Aston. If its the journey then it will be Joe who wins, I will be happy with Joe, Debbie or Alex as the winner.

Well give me a mini-bar and call me Oliver Reed, that was a shocker of a dance off wasn't it? Almost as though the Beeb couldn't have planned it better themselves.
If Joe doesn't win next week, we can safely say that the world has gone mad.

When I was listening to the radio this morning, all the talk was about crotch-gate. Today really is dumbing down! I didn't spot it myself, but, apparently, when they were in the 'Clauditorium', Alexandra was stroking Gorka's inner thigh. If only we could ask an expert on Gorka's crotch, but she'll be busy teaching at this time on a Monday afternoon (if her school has bothered to open, that is).

And I've just got a text to say we ain't opening until 10AM tomorrow. And I actually DID notice this and wanted to slap her hand away.....though Gemma probably slapped her later if rumours are true!
