Helena Bonham Carter at HiddleHamlet last night. I swear I recognised a chap in the bar, too, but can't for the life of me place him so that one will remain a mystery.

Imagine one's initial excitement at seeing Helena Bonham Carter elbowing her way through the row in front of you and knowing that you're within touching distance of an Oscar nominated legend. And then that hair plonks itself right in front of you . . .

Rory McGrath being extremely rude and offensive to staff at Cambridge Arts Theatre on Tuesday as his wife was told she couldn't take her bag into the auditorium. Amongst other very rude comments he was heard to say "I pay your wages" to which the lady usher replied "you don't pay my wages sir, I'm a volunteer"!

And then that hair plonks itself right in front of you . . . Lol! She had it tied back in a pony tail so it was partially-tamed. Though she did eat a bag of popcorn in the auditorium before the play started!

I understand he has rather a reputation for drunken belligerance in Cambridge.

He's very lucky to still have a wife whose honour he can defend, after his recent conviction.

I was told that George Osbourne was at the same showing of Hamlet at the barbican, the one with benedict Cumberbatch was in, not that I was interested in politics then and now.

Saw JK Simmons and a man who bore an uncanny resemblance to Robson Green at the KBTC/RADA Hamlet on friday - no clue if it was indeed Robson as he was in the stalls and I was in the circle.

I think I walked past Ross Noble just off Leicester Square yesterday. As Young Frankenstein is previewing next week I guess it's not unlikely that he would be in the area.

Helen Worth (Gail from Corrie) was at Follies on Saturday, saw her in the bar...very 'dressed down' and very very tiny.

Benedict Cumberbatch was in the Mosquitoes audience tonight! His seat was in my direct line of vision and was empty in the first half so think only saw the second half, pretty sure he was also the only person in the audience who gave it a standing ovation at the end!

Colin Jackson was outside the London Palladium being give his wristband for the after filming party at "All Star Musicals" last night. He happily posed for photos with fans.

He was trying his best to be incognito, but I spotted John Godber in the stalls of Hull New Theatre last night, watching The Kings of Hull, written and directed by...John Godber.
That's got to be worth at least triple points, surely?

Frank Skinner at ENO Barber of Seville yesterday. Jonathan Miller also there, but he got invited onto the stage at the end, so no longer counts as spotted in the crowd!

Don't know if you would count them as famous but the cast of Nativity the Musical at B'ham Alex Theatre last night for Cilla the musical. Chatted to Daniel Boys in the ticket queue, he was surprised I recognised him but amused when I said it was Sarah Earnshaw's voice I recognised. Sarah after Nativity will be playing Betty Spencer on stage next year and has that sort of lovely little voice in real life and as soon as I heard the voice I thought of her and then saw I was stood next to Daniel in ticket queue.
I was stalls and they were upstairs so never saw them again during evening.

As I was leaving five guys named moe I saw Michael Palin! He looked like he really enjoyed it and I feel very happy I have now seen him in real life.
