Edward Hall having a drink at the Hampstead. But bearing in mind he's the Artistic Director there and it's only the third performance he was always going to be there, wasn't he?

Not the theatre, but Rula Lenska in the audience at last night's preview of series 3 of Inside No.9 at the BFI last night (she was in one of the episodes).

She used to be in Neighbours but has been in more Hollywood films recently. She is making a name for herself now for being in th marvel film, Suicide Squad. I've never seen her in a film before but she's a very pretty lady!! That's a DC film, not Marvel. (Sorry, I'm a geek.) She was also in Wolf of Wall Street, which was her break-through Hollywood role. I saw Suicide Squad the other week. She was fabulously sexy in it. All heels, teeny hotpants and gum popping, whilst dispatching villains with a baseball bat. Whadda girl!

Apparently she did hardcore gymnastics training in the run up so she could tackle her own stunts, and not only nailed them, but nailed them while wearing heels.
But please, media, tell me again about Jared Leto harassing his castmates in preparation for his role, that's definitely more interesting.

Aneurin Barnard (Spring Awakening/The White Queen/War and Peace etc) was four rows in front of me at Groundhog Day this afternoon - not everyday you end up near your favourite actor! Half kept an eye out for others but didn't spot anyone else!

Only Alison Bloomin' Steadman at 'The Roundabout' at the Park Theatre tonight!
I was hoping to catch her at the bar to say "little top-up Ange?" and wait for us both to have a laugh at that and bond but alas, she stayed put.

To top Ryan's feeble spot, I saw Alison Steadman, Jim Broadbent and Mike Leigh together at the Latchmere at a revival of Ecstasy. Alison Steadman laughed uproariously, as did I, at the line about wooden ear-rings.

You could have crept up behind her and whispered in her ear, conspiratorially "Sue's just vomited up all her gin".

Not in a theatre, but on London Bridge- a place with some theatrical significance- I came face to face with Mark Rylance today. I thought his face lit up when I told him I fondly remembered his Peter Pan and still had the RSC poster; the friends I was with seemed to think he wouldn't have liked being reminded that he played this role thirty-three years ago...

Stephen Schwartz at Harry Potter yesterday. He'll be lined up to write the musical then... (Oh no! JK doesn't like musicals!)

Final performance of Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber and his wife and probably two major RUG producers sat right in front of me. When he came in he made an impromptu speech to the audience smack in front of me. It was very cool.
Final performance of ENO Sunset the ever so gorgeous Halle Barry was walking right by my side into the theatre foyer and trying to find the house manager (to probably take her backstage). I don't think anyone specifically noticed, but I kept on doing double takes at this beautiful and elegant woman. She looked absolutely stunning, which is why I noticed it was her to begin with.
Gerard Butler looking really tired and busted smoking a cigarette during the final performance of Gone With The Wind at the New London some years ago.
Last "planned" performance of Groundhog Day before the charity performance Tim Minchin was sitting with Ralf Finnes a row before us but far on the other side.

Christopher Biggins at The Go-Between tonight.
He was in the bar, then went to the foyer to sit on a seat right opposite the door . . . maybe waiting for someone.
Anyway I was in the Dress Circle, then 3-4 minutes before the show was due to start I could hear his voice from the Stalls. I looked over and the whole row was having to get up for him to get into the middle. It seemed he was still by himself so it's a bit mean I think to have waited in the foyer all that time, so the maximum number of people had to move for him.
