My work charges £5 for a booster seat and you get £4 back at the end if you show your receipt. They had to start doing it because, indeed, people kept taking the booster seats home. How do people get out of the theatre with a booster seat? It’s not like you can slip it in a handbag. You’d have to come prepared.

Sorry if this has all ready been discussed but does anyone know where the TodayTix seats are and if they are any good. Also if someone who is a mere 5 foot high can see from one of the dayseats. Any help much appreciated. A lot of the todaytix recently seem to have been the back on the stalls, which is a great view (depending on who is in front of you!) but there have been a variety of seats offered all over the theatre. As for the dayseats, I’m 5ft 2 and I wouldn’t recommend them for someone seeing the show for the first time. The stage is very high, overall there probably isn’t a LOT that you actually miss, but when they’re sitting on the chairs you can only really see the their heads and a lot of the overall effect of the staging etc is lost. Booster seats are available for £1. I did take a photo of the stage from my eyeline to send to a friend curious about dayseats: Since when did people have to pay for booster cushions, not that I need one anyway. But is it a £1 deposit that you get back? Or is there really a risk that people might take them home, so they charge you for it?

This is the least buzzed about musical I've seen in the West End in a good while. It was announced ages ago yet since it's announcement, I've heard literally no buzz about it whatsoever. No posters, no word of mouth, no nothing. Which seems a shame as it looks fun at least! *crosses fingers for a discount or comp*. There were posters on the underground a while back.

I really have a feeling this is gonna be the surprise hit of the year now. I want it to be, if only so we have a nice FoH in London seeing as the only other decent one (i.e. something 3D not just a flimsy bit of plastic stretched out) of recent times (42nd Street) is coming down.

Personally I would like to see one of their other shows close (synical I know), purely because I find their comedy to be very ‘samey’ and to have three theatres (with this being different to when they were at the Apollo because this is for a year not a couple of months) takes away scope for variety. I think this is a bit different because this is a residency of three new plays with one replacing the other so it’s not going to be a long runner like the other two, I understand that, but my point is that I generally find their comedy quite repetitive, so even if the narratives are different I still believe that these three plays will be 'similar in some ways' if you catch my drift. I think when there is this one/very similar style of comedy in three different theatres, I wouldn't be disappointed if one of the others then closed.

I really like the FoH for this, mainly because the blue and yellow gives me The Girls vibes.

I would have thought they would have gone for Rachel John (maybe the did) so they could go off her ‘direct from Hamilton’ experience Yeah but if this is indeed a version of Romeo and Juliet then Rachel John doesn’t exactly fit the age bracket... aahhh, forgot that part.

I’m guessing this is related to Romeo and Juliet.

I hope it succeeds too.. but I fear it won’t. What’s happening with the rebuilding work at the Shaftesbury? When will that happen? After Motown closes. All on their website.

Sadly I can’t see this working. The name isn’t catchy at all, and not enough of a name to get the punters in, in my opinion. I said closed by April.

I'm pleased for her, I really am. But damn, that's a huge theatre to fill. I have high hopes that this will do well. Get Beverley as her alternate for the matinees then.

They are in final talks with Sinnitta... Because she definitely meets the age casting bracket, good one.

It's very confusing, as the Hampstead Theatre has taken all sales off the website after February 9th. Could it be deliberately confusing in order to create a bit of a fuss causing some panic buying? I doubt the general public would pick up on it. Unless they are madly keen to see it and are willing to shop around for prices, it would be the case of ‘well it’s not booking when we want, that’s a shame...what else is there’. I can only imagine some of the big fans would be booking, if they are even aware, and even in that case it would be a significant number of bookings in the wider picture.

What are the prices like? Stalls and DC £40, 50 and 85 GC £20, 30, 40, 50 these are post preview prices. preview prices are roughly £5 cheaper Very fair prices, in my opinion. I was expecting higher.

Just booked in for one of the Nightcaps. I’ve never been in the Other Palace Studio before, where would be the best place for me to sit to get a good view but also not be too close? (being at the front makes me anxious!) For Murder for Two I sat on the back row of ‘normal’ seats which gave a perfectly good view. The very back row is made up of bar stools if you want a clear view that’s not too close.

I've been meaning to go back to this for the longest time! I've only seen it once in 2015 I think? How do those of you who have seen it alot or follow it rate the current cast? The cast I saw when I went was Gerónimo Rauch, Emmi Christenson and Liam Tamne. Obviously can’t compare as I’ve only hear online audios, but the current (principle) cast I thought was very impressive and perfectly good value for the GILT offers. Hopefully David Thaxton comes back to do a longer run.

Saw on Thursday for the first. Been waiting for an actor who I want to see be announced as Phantom, and unfortunately David Thaxton was off. Very disappointed with Scott Davies, found his performance adequate at best and rolling my eyes at his performance many times. That said he was the only weak link in the cast. Very impressed with Kelly and Jeremy as Raoul, and I thought Kimberley as Carlotta was the standout performance. I can see why some say this production is dated, I think the overall design of it is good (although the chandelier effect is too robotic for my liking and doesn’t fall ‘naturally’). It just needs some love and care to make a few the set pieces look as visually appealing as I assume they once were.

If Patti was to have played an instrument it just had to be a tuba. Tuba has Patti all over it.
