If I buy a DMT+ membership now will I be able to book immediately?
Also if not, has anyone received the link yet ahead of midday, even if it isn't active? The email I got on Tuesday said I'd receive the link at midday today, but I hope they send it earlier so I know I've received it.

Anyway, re Bat the covers are equally as good! Oh absolutely! I’m just missing Rob Copeland and I think I would have seen all the covers. Sam is excellent as Ledoux. Young Dream would like to see Gio, but knows they might not at this point (they’ve seen Eric and Sam twice each and day seats this close are looking unlikely with everything else going on at this busy time of the year.) Young’s favourite Strat is Simon! Don't know if you can make it, but Rob's final scheduled Falco show is Friday 21st December. I used to perform with Rob when we were kids living in Kent so it'll be great to see him rock the West End stage in a lead role

Someone needs to tell Christina to update her end of show speech this evening. She's obviously been reading it all last week raising money for World Aids Day, but unfortunately 'next week is World Aids Day' is now incorrect.

I saw the second preview on Wednesday evening. This was the first time I saw this piece and I really liked it. I sat in circle, row G and had a really good view of the stage – had to lean only couple of times, but that’s because the kid in front of me wouldn’t sit still. What felt weird was that the audience didn’t applaud until the end of Act 1. Maybe it’s just the way the show is written or maybe the audience didn’t like it? Sharon D Clarke gives a great performance throughout and gets a well-deserved applause at the end of Lot’s Wife. I wish that people would stop bringing food/snack into the theatre and that theatres would stop selling them. There was a lot of rustling throughout the show and I just don’t understand why it’s necessary for people to stuff their gobs with M&Ms. The aforementioned “kid” in front of me was a part of a larger group – two grown women with 4 kids. They had BAGS of food: crisps, M&Ms, Maltesers, etc. and thankfully they limited majority of their little picnic to pre-show and interval. I think there was one clap in the middle of act 1 when I went yesterday and really it felt a bit forced as tradition to wanting to clap at the end of every song in a show. This show basically doesn't stop the music or have any obvious song end points to allow for applause imo.

The Haymarket was quick to change the posters! People have tweeted this morning going past at 8.30am and The Band posters etc are already up! And why not? The show is over, the theatre has something else it needs to shift tickets for, it can make no more money keeping the Heathers posters up and best to do it on a Sunday when footfall is less.

Not many seen this run so far? I know it's only been a few performances. I'm seeing it tonight on a TodayTix front row Rush. I saw it last night and am not sure what the fuss is about it. I struggled to connect with it at all, and can’t quite decide if that’s the production itself or a poor fit in that theatre. From my seat in the dress circle I felt very removed from the action and it didn’t absorb me in the way I was expecting it too. From the front I also didn't get it. I've seen many shows about slaves or maids and they made me feel whilst this didn't. Sharon and the supporting cast are great but the show id a bit 'meh'

Do the cast usually hurl scrunchies into the audience at the end? It's usually the other way around. Maybe they are the hundreds they've been chucked over the run

Well that was epic. Whoops on first entrances and end of songs but other than that a really respectful audience.
Do the cast usually hurl scrunchies into the audience at the end? I got hit by a barrage, Carrie has an arm on her.
Good samaritan I am I chucked a load back further to those who missed out

At the matinee and can count the amount of males on my hands and feet. At least my interval ablutions will be easy.

I made a mistake not seeing this when it was in TOP or earlier in the run so a few weeks back I checked my London availability and discovered I could only make today and bought a ticket, central row E.
I only watched the film last week and have listened to none of the songs. I imagine I will hate this as the audience will be screaming and whooping no doubt at things I don't understand.
Oh well. At least I'm seeing it. Thankfully at the matinee though so the hysteria won't be 'as' bad I hope.

On Saturday I was supposed to be seeing the Company evening show with my friend, but missed out on dayseats so went to the matinee instead without my friend and the person sat next to me was the brother of said friend who had got a ticket on TodayTix.

Rosalie's already had a show (or two?) off, she was covered by Jennifer Saayeng. I assume there'll be a similar unwritten back-up plan for Patti. The programme lists Francesca Ellis as u/s Joanne and Sarah. Yes I see. I must have been having a senior moment when I posted earlier.

... and the 2019 Olivier for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical goes to Jonathan Bailey! Holy crap he is sensational! I am loving this so much! 😍😍 He was amazing in Not Getting Married, and absolutely dripping with sweat, possibly the best performance of the show for me as I wasn't expecting it. Patti was sublime. Amazing to be within touching distance had I dared. A Fleeshman in his pants was almost too much to handle so early in the day. I thoroughly enjoyed this and it was worth the 5am coach to London to get that front row ticket. Noticed Rosalie and Patti have no understudies listed in the programme. Is this right? If one of them can't perform is the show cancelled?

I had an option this morning. Row N for the evening or front row for the matinee. I decided I prefer being up close so went for the matinee.

You should be fine If there are only eight people ahead of you. Well if they all want evening I may be out of luck. The house is very full looking at DM website, would they really sell the remaining premiums for £25 at 10am?

Attempting a day seat for this tomorrow morning. I hope I arrive when there aren't many people already there as I have no contingency plan for the evening 😂. Been a long time since I've done the while, sit outside a theatre' thing.

My only experience of The Color Purple ks the concert version that was on in London about a year ago. I had wanted to see it on Broadway but it closed before I got there. So I am considering going to the Birmingham show and taking my mother as she really wanted to see it too.
Can anyone recommend good seats at the Hippodrome? What's the rake like?

Just been on TodayTix to try and book for tonight and I see they are no longer doing Rush tickets. Very disappointing. Is that not because they are currently selling £15 seats for all performances which is a better deal than Rush?

Just returned a single ticket in row C for tomorrow night. It's on the website now.
I am sad I am not able to go, but funding is tight right now so can't justify the travel and general day costs. I am very impressed with the YV credit deal though so I can use my money to buy a different ticket to a different show down the line.
I am seeing Fun Home later in the run anyway, so missing out on one performance won't devastate me too much.

Javert sang Stars.
It feels weird this year. No fancy VIP enclosure, hardly any stalls and Councillor Robert Davis (well he's here but they aren't talking to him. Not being from London and paying no attention I didn't realise he'd stepped down while they investigate him for misconduct).
Shows are good as usual though.

How I long for the days when Mastercard were the sponsor and you could blag your way into the VIP enclosure.
I thought I'd take a punt this year and email WEL asking how to get into the enclosure and they actually responded but said it was for sponsors and if I wanted to avoid the crowds I should stay outside in the overflow area and watch on the big screen. Not the response I was after.

Not necessarily about the film as such but last week when I was in London, they had a small Ferris wheel set up in Leicester Square with the branding for the film on the outside of it, including a small photo opportunity that indicated that someone from the cast would be there for photos at some point in the day. Did anyone else see this or go to it ? Is it relevant to the film or just a small advertising opportunity ? A Ferris wheel is featured in the trailer, so it's not really a spoiler to say one is featured. The only person I think would be viable to meet for a photo opp would be Nick Robinson who plays Simon. I suppose potentially the girl who plays his best friend, but she's mostly famous for being the lead in 13 Reasons Why

I went to see this film today. I found out about it a few weeks ago and I knew the original book was in my school library so I got it out and read it over Friday and Saturday before seeing the film tonight, so I knew from the get go who Blue would be, but I liked the way they displayed this on screen.
Some changes from the book, as is expected in film adaptations, but an enjoyable film.

I'd say 10 at the minimum for this one, it is boring and adult for younger ones. On the rush seats, "box office discretion" - front row is on sale, so it won't be that for sure. I am wondering, though what they will do with the front corner seats. Off sale at both sides at the moment, and we know they were restricted in previous runs... Dominiontheatre.com, the official website, is working to book tickets on at the moment. Rush for American in Paris always seemed to be rear stalls when I checked so may be the same here if they have the same arrangement with Todaytix. Most likely "whatever's left" Whatever's left leaves quite a lot of choice for the few performances I looked at. Wondering if Dominion will off day seats themselves. Did they for AiP? I never saw that show so never paid attention. I'm planning on coming next Thursday.
