So I was thinking today that I hadn't received a follow up from the Donmar regarding the cancelled Saturday matinee on the 26th other than the email that "I'd be contacted".
Have a look at credits on my account and see I've had the cost of the tickets added as credit there and this happened on the 28th.
No email to let me know, no asking if I wanted the cash back instead (which I do because it's extremely unlikely I'll be seeing anything else at the Donmar within the next 12 months.
Disappointed with this lack of communication or asking. Had I not gone searching I'd have never seen the credit.
I know the website says "in the event of cancellation we'll credit your account or offer a full refund", but in order to offer it would be useful if they actually, you know, offered!

Nice to see Donmar didn't cancel the automated post show email I just received hoping I enjoyed the show yesterday afternoon which I assume was sent to everyone.
Too soon Donmar, the emotions are too raw for your trickery 😄.

After the cancellation this afternoon I rushed down to Choir of Man as did a few others based on the Next to Normal programmes. It was good having a show which started a bit later who were able to accommodate us so my afternoon wasn't completely wasted.
Will have to see what the Donmar say when they contact for refunds.

Currently at Today's Matinee but we are delayed due to a "technical hitch". No news yet when we will start! Nervy times. My first ever show delay. Hopefully just a delay and not a cancellation, especially as I won't be able to come to another performance if it is cancelled.

Surprised to hear so much of the score has been cut and it still running so long. Have they put new songs in the same place as , or have the old songs were or have new moments been musicalised? I hope they have cut the scenes in the gay bar. New songs exist, but a number of the existing songs have moved place. Don'tcha Like Hawaii and You Got The Money have been replaced by one new song "I Know What You Want". There's a couple of new songs for Karen (replacing Another Language and Maybe), Marking Time is replaced with At Ease. The gay bar scene still remains as it's crucial to Maggio's and Bloom's plot which as I mentioned has remained pretty much the same as the original.

To add to Steve above, if the show starts on time then you'll get put at 10pm as we didn't start this evening until 7:40pm due to a delay in opening the auditorium.
I was sat in the back row J on one side and the view was fine, so you should be fine sat wherever, and the side seats did look like a great place to be.
Warden's new song At Ease was the best of the new additions.
I will concede that moving Run Along Joe and Fight The Fight to Act 2 was the correct decision if they were changing the show up a lot.
We'll see where those review star ratings fall 🤔.

{Spoiler - click to view} I'd be interested to hear what others who have seen the original thought about this show.
It's certainly different from the original.
I didn't think the emotion really hit. I wasn't invested in the love story between either Warden and Karen or Prewitt and Lorene.
The performers were good though for the most part. The guy playing Maggio I thought was brilliant and his storyline is pretty much the only thing not changed.
The start of Act 2 was blunt with "Ain't Where I Wanna Be Blues" rather than a big ensemble number.
Most of the new songs I didn't take to, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now since it was my first time hearing them.
If you've never seen the show previously you may have thought it was all fine, but as someone who had such love of the original a lot just fell flat to me.
I wish the cast luck and that they pick up momentum and ticket sales with reviews, but I'm currently predicting a slew of 3 stars unfortunately.

{Spoiler - click to view} Well first impressions from the programme, they've cut a lot of songs.
Don'tcha Like Hawaii, You Got The Money, Another Language, Marking Time, Something In Return, More Than America, Maybe, all gone, unless they've been renamed as there are a number of new songs added. The order of the remaining songs has also been mixed up.
Sign on box office states 2 and a half hours, so should be more palatable runtime for those who don't like a 3 hour epic.
I'm intrigued how I'll find it as I came not expecting to see a massive change in setlist.

It's such a shame for Rob having to cancel 4 shows when the run is so short.
Garrick is pretty busy next few months but hopefully another short run somewhere can be found at some point next year as there's obviously demand for the show. Must be a gap available somewhere for a short limited run.
Fingers crossed the last week of shows go off without a hitch.

I'm booked in to see this on Saturday. I really enjoyed it at the Shaftesbury and made sure I got back for the final performance then. I hope there are no time delays however as I forgot how long the original show was and booked an 11pm coach home from Victoria thinking "oh I'll get out around 10pm so plenty of time to make it to the station" before remembering this runs close to 3 hours if they haven't cut anything 😬. The show runs at 2.5hrs including an interval :-) So 2 hours 30? So finishes at 10? The original West End show ran around 2 hours 45/50 so some cuts?

I caught this on press night on Sunday. I hadn't really been planning to see it as I don't usually go to short shows due to my London slots being at a premium since I live in Bristol, but I was down for the weekend and there wasn't anything else on on a Sunday evening I wanted to see.
Boy am I glad I took the chance. Absolutely beautiful show. There were tears. It's such a heartwarming story and I hope it has a life beyond these two weeks as more and more people get the chance to experience the show. I just wish it lasted a bit longer.
Will I buy the inevitable Madge autobiography? Absolutely.

At least they were forward thinking enough to provide headsets for the backstage theatre talks area. I went there for Footballers Wives and stayed for Toby Marlow. At first the main stage overpowered the headsets but then I discovered the volume control, turned the headset up and it was fine.
Some of the headsets didn't work, but the crew had spares they were handing out, so can't fault the staff there.
Overall it was a nice day, I am glad I went, not sure I'll return next year as I don't feel it's really aimed at me, and as a theatre fan I'd have preferred it to be more like West End Live, but understand it can't be due to the location of the venue and Saturday matinées. I'm not someone who would be attending workshops etc, so they wouldn't interest me, so it was a long day of not too much to see.
I hope the people I feel it's more aimed at had a good day.

After the initial queuing chaos (still a long queue at the time main stage was supposed to start), two people scanning tickets just not enough (though main stage start was delayed so didn't miss anything), it's been OK. Spent most of my time by main stage which had sound issues further back, but ok the closer you got. The Sondheim section with Jenna Russell was great, and the 4 Elphaba's section was nice, though couldn't see the quartet of Defying Gravity due to the amount of people watching the performance through phone screens. Going to try for the backstage theatre Footballers Wives preview at 3pm if I can get a headset. Would I go again next year? Probably not. It's more for the youngsters I feel, and no miserable old me. Only reason I'm really going tomorrow is because I won a photo experience on Instagram. Thanks for your overview, did you notice a separate entrance line for disabled guests? Or any disability friendly measures? Not really in terms of queuing. Some guests in wheelchairs were ushered to the front of the queue, but so were those with VIP tickets so I can't say if they also had VIP. There's an accessible viewing platform at the rear of the main stage area and some disabled spaces at the front of the backstage theatre area. It isn't a very big venue.

According to my friend at Apollo Victoria for Wicked, an announcement was made that there would be a minutes silence after the show and that they would perform the show as written, before bursting into "Good News, SHE'S DEAD"😬.

I'm in tonight and enjoying it so far.
Yes the songs are a bit forgettable, but the cast are brilliant.
Lead is outstanding and it's bringing back a lot of nostalgia seeing one of my favourite films transferred to the stage.
The actress playing Lydia has a brilliant voice and her song in act one got a big ovation.
Roll on act 2.

I'm at the tour opening night in Bristol.
I have to say I preferred Gary over Simon, he just isn't doing it for me as Witney.
Also Denis just isn't as good as Robert Lindsay. He may settle into the role as it goes on this being the start, but the chemistry between Sutton and Robert was much better than between Kerry and Denis.
Kerry is fantastic though. Any doubts about her dancing people may have are unfounded after that end of Act 1. She smashed it out of the park.
Bonnie Langford is sorely wasted in this show though. Evangeline has so little to do really and I thought Felicity was really good in London and whilst Bonnie is fine, it is such a waste of her talent to be lumbered with the role.
Roll on act 2.

I'm coming to London this week and was planning to try for TodayTix rush for this, but I've noticed that the performance I was hoping for is now down to single seats for the performance (thinking I should have juat paid for secured tickets rather than taking a risk, but hey ho).
Does anyone know if there are seats for this held back off sale which get released for Rush? Want to know if I'll stand any chance or if the Rush setting will automatically say 'sold out' come 10am?
TIA

With any luck I'll be going to the Bristol panto now it's been announced.
My friend and I go every year and this year we were going to take her daughter to her first show as she's finally old enough (at 5) to not be overly irritating and noisy throughout the thing). Plus 75 minutes is a nice length to maintain her attention.
Fingers crossed I don't wake up with a cough that morning.

Sat here on 3986.
Gutting.
I've not tried for these PwC previews for a few years and always got in really quickly in the past, so this is an unhappy experience.
Ah well.

I booked myself a couple of the front row £13 seats in Bristol as I couldn't resist the price. Not sure how much neck crane I'm going to have to endure though. Before the refurb a while back when A was the front that was an acceptable row set far enough away, but cramming another row in front annoyed me at the time. But still, I like Abba and for that price I can't say no.

I was there this evening.
I don't have words to describe what I just saw. It was just WOW. I laughed, I cried, I almost pulled a muscle leaping to my feet at the end for the standing ovation.
I must go again.

My mother arrived at 9am so I left her there whilst I went to CFA queue. Only one other couple arrived at about 9:40am.
Got the two row end seats and that is all they sold for the matinee. The other couple wanted evening and were offered the same seats. They asked for something more central and were told to try the lottery or pay full price

As I am sure everyone is waiting with baited breath to find out how I'm doing this morning. I got to Jamie at 7:45am and no one else is here. Somebody better arrive soon as I look lonely and dejected 🤔

It's usually just 4 seats on the front row, maybe something else if they have it, but apparently it is very busy at the moment and often they haven't been doing more recently. So if I was to arrive early enough to be number one or two I should be fine? And if there are more people I'll just go elsewhere. It's for my mum rather than me, I've already seen Jamie. She'd be equally happy with Waitress, but we saw that a couple of years ago on Broadway

Bit of advice needed.
I am hoping to dayseat this tomorrow for the matinee however there aren't very many seats left on the Nimax site. I know they do the front row on the TodayTix lottery. What are the chances of BO tickets being available? Do they hold back seats for BO dayseat sales or is it just what they have available on the site? I know it's the Easter hols so busy and don't know whether to just cut my losses and go and dayseat Waitress instead where there are a lot more seats available.
I'm also hoping to dayseat CFA in the evening and my mum is joining me in one of the queues to take my place while I run off to the other theatre.

Does anyone watch Riverdale?
The latest episode sees them put on Heathers and the episode is packed with songs from the show.
Even if you don't watch the show you should check out the episode.

I just got through on the link I'd opened on my laptop after a "2 and a half hour wait" which was actually 80 minutes (I'd bought earlier from my phone so only out of interest) and Saturday's have sold well, but still loads of great availability during the week and Fridays. Thankfully for me I'd got in earlier at 12:30 as I can only do Saturday's and work in a school so can't take time off to get to London, so I'd be a bit downtrodden now. However if you have some flexibility you can get great seats for this right now.
