I'm sure the exit polls were at least pointing to a conservative win. Remember it coming as a surprise as the polls the day before if anything had suggested labour if anyone had the slight advantage and all the labour supporters on my local football forum were suggesting the exit polls were wildly wrong The exit poll showed the Conservatives winning the most seats but not enough to run as a majority government. There was a lot of focus in the early hours of the election coverage as to what the Conservatives should do and who they should maybe go into coalition with. And as you said the polls the day before were way off what the actual results were. Just shows that we just won't know how this is going to go until later tonight.

Well the gaps spread between the top 2. Lib dems have done far better on this forums polls than others I've been watching. Every single forum I use has labour on top by varying degrees which is puzzling considering how the polls are predicting tonights outcome I don't really pay much attention to the polls. In 2015 the polls had Labour and the Conservatives neck and neck so it was a shocker when the exit poll was released and Labour was a lot lower than anticipated. No poll, including the exit poll, expected the Conservatives to receive a majority

It will appeal to people that like good/innovative theatre. Yes absolutely! I hope it comes over as I would love the chance to see it. But a musical adaptation of War and Peace might be a hard sell to your average West End audience member

I have doubts about Dear Evan Hansen coming to London but wouldn't be at all surprised if it did. However I would be shocked if Great Comet came to London and had a theatre already sorted. I just cannot see it appealing to a West End Audience at all!

Ok so always one to follow the popular vote I've just listened to the soundtrack and I've just put it on again... this is totally up my catchy street! When it transfers (assuming it will!) would Ben Platt not transfer with it ala Idina/Wicked and Andrew Rannels/BoM?! Andrew Rannels didn't transfer to London did he? I can't see Ben Platt transferring over of the show does come to London.. Evan Hansen has really raised his profile and there will be many job offers coming his way when he finishes on Broadway

I have no idea how to do spoilers so SPOLIERS!!!!
They have added a sequence where he climbs a ladder and dissapears at the top of the stage. And then seemingly falls off the ladder but magically wakes up back in the bed

I would take that with a massive pinch of salt. It has a similar article about Amelie which will not be seen in the West End any time soon

I think this was a decent show that was marketed terribly. Constantly using Gary Barlow and large choirs rather than showcasing the humour and heart that this has. It completely took away from what made this show great which was that core group of women. What was marketed to me just didn't appeal to me at all and it wasn't until some friends came back with some good feedback that I decided to go. I went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not surprised that it's closing but I do think it is a shame.

Can anyone who's been or is going soon let us know who's playing Umbridge, Snape and the minor roles?! I assume Myrtle is the same. Oh who's Delphi? Sourced from Tumblr Annabel Baldwin is Delphi. April Hughes is Myrtle. Tom Mackley is Karl Jenkins and Dudley Dursley. Haven't seen anything about the others yet. There seems to be a very good reaction to Samuel Blenkin as Scorpius

I'm so interested to find out how Miranda is in this role! I personally find her really funny and used to love her sitcom but I can't imagine her as Miss Hannigan

Has there been any reason given as to why they haven't released the show digitally in the UK? They showed it in cinemas here but haven't seemed to answer any questions about it being released digitally

I remember the review from vulture.com was rather negative about the score because it didn't rhyme properly.
"My idea of purgatory is a show that repeatedly spits terrible rhymes at you. I mean rhymes like erection/reception, ideas/rears, clock/cop, vistas/spinsters, gluten/solution, dresses/precious, collateral/battle, and water/shorter, to name just a few that tortured my ears in songs by Tim Minchin for the new musical Groundhog Day."

Apparently Idriss told his friend which his friend told some Ashleigh Gray fans and it got leaked from there that Alice & Sophie are our new Elphaba and Glinda So a cast member told a friend, who told a friend, who told some fans, who then leaked it. Ok.

The annoying thing is, I don't know why they are building it up if it is gonna be a major disappointment of just a bump up with the two standbys and a couple of new cast members. I hold out hope this wait is for some excitement but I am doubting it day by day. Surely the only ones building this up are the fans

So I checked again and there are now better seats available for the performances I booked. I'm ready to pay more. Should I email the box office? Will they exchange my tickets or is it not possible? Has anyone tried this before? I went to see the show in March originally with a ticket for the Grand Circle. I found a ticket on their site for the stalls for the same performance so bought it outright and then called up ATG and got a refund on my original ticket

It will be my third time seeing the show on the 3rd June however I haven't received the usual 28 days to go email. Should have received it by now. Anyone experience this and should I email to make sure my tickets will be delivered?

I managed to see this show last Saturday afternoon. It truly is a spectacular production but I wouldn't say I'm in any hurry to return. The weakest element of the show is it's book. One part that really didn't work for me was how Peggy was fired by Julian for hurting their star Dorothy Brock. However straight after the interval you have Julian begging for Peggy to come back like she hadn't caused all these problems for their production. It felt very off to me. That being said it is a fantastic show with amazing sets, costumes and dance sequences and the audience were loving it. I really enjoyed the opening to Act 2 with the ensemble in their dressing rooms. It really put a smile on my face. In fact I felt that Act 2 was a lot stronger than Act 1 in general especially with that incredible staircase sequence at the end. To be honest I didn't really care about this show when they first announced it but I'm glad that they have made a worthy production for the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

So it looks like any mention of there being a London production has been pulled from the website. Even at the time of the Olivier's it said that the London production would open in 2017.
