Has the cast change date been announced yet?
I assume it is either Saturday 9 June or 16 June?

Nothing worse than a bookshelf full of books the same size! Now there speaks someone who has adequate shelving for their book collection and doesn't have to Tetris everything together in a desperate attempt to make it all fit! haha love this comment! Fitting all my programs in my bookcase is exactly like a game of Tetris! I have decided I have too many brochures/programs for my bookcase and so did a search on the board for ideas on best way to store them. My family are saying box them up and put them in the loft but what if I need to quickly check my Les Mis prog from 1994 to double check who I saw as Marius?!!! I like having them close by for reference!

I loved the original palladium version of this but that tour the other year with people in the nightclub playing trumpets and saxophones was bloody awful 😂

I’ve never had to cancel a ticket before but thanks to today’s weather I’m going to have to cancel seeing Wicked in Bristol tonight. I know that my ATG card would allow me to exchange the ticket but seeing as it’s the last few days in this venue I can’t do any of the other remaining shows. Anyone know whether I’ll be likely to get a refund or not? I didn’t bother purchasing the ticket insurance but isn’t something similar included with the card itself? Also does anyone know the number I need to call in order to get through and cancel the ticket? You may have found the number by now if the show is tonight but just incase this is the number I used to exchange tickets for the weekend earlier on. 020 8544 7469. Their website says you can exchange 48 hours in advance but no refunds. But maybe in the circumstances they are allowing refunds. Let us know how you get on!

Row N of the stalls I think. The Mayflower is vast and you quite far back in the circle, although the view is fine. Thank you! Just saw the matinee has row m stalls. Trying to decide which is better. Wish I would learn my lesson and book further in advance:(

Has anyone sat in the Royal circle at the mayflower? I have left it late booking miss saigon and all that is left for the date I can do is 3rd row of the circle. Anyone know what the view from front circle is like? What row of the stalls does it overhang?

Ray Quinn playing the lead for the UK tour I was trying to decide whether or not to book this. Definitely won’t bother now. Can’t stand him 😂

What’s the running time for this?
Did have a quick google but some sites say 2 hours and others 2 hours 25?

I sat there. Decent view, have to lean forward though. The seating is a cushioned bench thing rather than seats. The day I went I was absolutely freezing in the auditorium. Anyone else been cold in there? Had to put my coat on for the second half! I froze during previews, but it was so hot during a January evening show that I thought some of my family members were going to be sick. I guess I would rather be cold than too hot. Hate it when theatres are too warm, puts me off going.

Hey guys, sorry if this is Groundhog Day. Has anyone sat in the upper circle slips? How were the seats in tyerms of view/comfort? I know at £20 you cant expect miracles. Thanks in advance. Some shows do have increased Security - Rocky Horror Show being an obvious one, the "Girls Night Out type shows" like Mamma Mia and Dirty Dancing often have more rigorous alcoholic checks as drink is potentially more likely to be smuggled into those type of shows. I do feel this is as much to help the theatres increase bar revenue than anything. Maybe like at airports or some nightclubs anyone considered under the influence is refused admittance. At Bat Out Of Hell didn't they take bottles of drink (Coke, water, etc) off people? I managed to smuggle my water in somehow

A friend of mine went to see it on a whim and loved it, even though he wasn't really expecting to. I was like that. I kept putting off seeing it but ended up really enjoying it.

Thanks for the replies.
I finally got a reply from ATG and they said to cancel the direct debit with my bank and so ATG will know I want to cancel when they try to take the money after the renewal date.

Does anyone else wish theatre programs were all the same size? I am talking about the standard cast programs not the souvenir brochures. The majority of them used to be A5 sized but now all the Cam Mack theatres have a larger square shaped one and some of the fringe theatres do A4 ones. Not only does it make my bookcase look messy but it means some of them don't fit in my handbag, really annoying when you see two shows in a day and have to spend the day carrying a program around. I know there are worse things to worry about but I like having a moan! Can we have a thread where we can say how big the program is for each new show that starts... then I can plan what size handbag to take!

I have always found the audiences at Southwark Playhouse to be well behaved but last week they were awful. Bananaman I guess is the type of show to attract children! We had a young boy in the front row with trainers with flashing lights on so they lit up every time he moved his feet. Then another family had bought their 2 or 3 year old and he kept talking to his mum, running up and down their row and flipping seat chairs up and down, and then she handed out crisps to all her kids. Then in the second act she let him play on her phone for most of it. God, I hate people.

My ATG card is due to run out soon.
Will it automatically re-new and the money be taken from my account?
Thinking of booking everything I need to and then cancelling it for a year.

I had high hopes of this, but it was disappointingly tedious, so that & the stifling auditorium made me bail at the interval. I completely agree. Passed me by unfortunately! I did stay until the end however and really rated the singing but found it very average. I agree. I had read rave reviews on here so maybe my expectations had been raised but I also found it very average. It did remind me in parts of From Here To Eternity which I was really fond of (not many agreed with me on that!) so made me want to re-watch the DVD of that.

Well this was absolutely brilliant - enjoyed every minute of it! Was sad to see that probably the back 6 or 7 rows were completely empty, and a lot of other empty seats dotted around. After complaining on here last week about the lack of offers they seem to be all over the place now, so hopefully it will start filling up - it really deserves it! Purposely booked seat L1 right near the door as thought that would be the coolest place but still really struggled with the heat. Isn't there some kind of law about acceptable temperatures in public spaces? There must be something they can do? I'm dreading seeing this now after reading on here about how uncomfortable the temperature is at this theatre. I saw titanic last year and was willing it to end I was so hot and uncomfortable:(

I bundled my water bottle in my cardigan and carried it under my arm - fine, they have jugs of water, but I can't take one of them with me after the show and into my evening show later! Exactly. Hope it doesn't become the norm. I spend enough at the theatre, taking food/drinks from home helps save a few pennies!

What's the reason the security on the door are saying no food or drink allowed in?
Saw them taking lots of bottles and food off people the other day. Luckily they weren't thorough enough with my bag to notice my water and snacks!

I am another who would rather be too cold than too hot.
Someone mentioned Southwark - I was there last week and it felt a bit too warm for my liking but not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the show.
Ones that stick in my mind as being uncomfortably hot are Charing Cross Theatre and Arts Theatre.
I was at the Soho theatre a few weeks back and it was freezing - lovely in this weather!

Not entirely sure if it is a musical or play so may have posted this in wrong section!
