At least one pre-sale for Guys & Dolls at the Bridge Theatre is now open. First preview Monday 27 February 2023. The area which appears closest to the stage is being sold as "Pit Standing, General Admission" @ £42. Is that a first for a traditional musical in London ? I can see the appeal for a musical like Mamma Mia with its danceable score but why would anyone want to stand for two to three hours of Guys and Dolls ? There is seating on all four sides of the stage. A lot of the seats which I would consider reasonably priced - £18 to £54 during previews - come with a restriction warning - high seat, lean forward or overhang - and decent preview seats are in the £71 to £149 price range though those prices probably includes an agency fee. From official opening it's £24 to £179. In a previous incarnation Guys and Dolls apparently struggled on tour and was the first show I ever saw as a seat filler. Hopefully this Guys and Dolls will be something special like Cabaret. I've just grabbed the cheapest available seat @ £18 for opening preview night way up in the balcony for now. I remember having standing tickets for the Piccadilly production about 15 years ago as that was all I could afford back then. It felt such a long show having to stand! I was glad when it had finished!! I don’t think I appreciated what I good show it was until I saw it from a seat 😂

I noticed my covid pass has expired and you can’t re-new them on nhs app anymore so how do you get around this do you have to take a test? You can still get a barcode in the travel tab...they stay valid until November 2022. Thank you! I didn’t look at the travel bit! 🙂

Does anyone know if the main casts holidays are published anywhere? Also when is the cast change this year? Thank you 😊

This has probably been discussed here before as it’s all over YouTube but my brother just sent me this and I have never noticed it before!
Did ALW steal Phantom from Pink Floyd or is it just a coincidence?! I thought he only stole music from his other shows! 😂

There has only been one recording released, so yes, it will be the same. Thanks for your reply!

Does anyone know if the signed cd they released is the same as the 2 disc standard cast recording or is it some special concept studio type album? Saw one on eBay and the seller doesn’t know.

Recently added to Nimax Theatre website: Beverley Knight will not perform from Tuesday 10 May – Saturday 14 May. Thanks so much as that was the week I was looking at booking!

Sorry to be that person who asks the question that has probably been asked before but what is the current Covid situation with this theatre - do you have to show a covid passport that you have had the vacccine and a negative test? None of that guff with Covid passports. You may have to sign a disclaimer though that says "I paid for Cinderella. I saw Cinderella." Haha 😆

Finally saw The Drifters Girl this afternoon. The two cast members that I really wanted to see going into it, Beverley Knight MBE and Matt Henry MBE, were both off (Bev due to illness and Matt on scheduled leave I presume). Does anyone know if they advertise when the leads are scheduled to be off and if so where can I find this info? Can't see anything on the official website. Keen to see Bev in the show so wanted to check before I book.

I’m just hoping they don’t have the aftermath of the attack drag on for months now though You may be disappointed here as I think I read that it will go on for quite a while!! Yeah I read for the rest of this year 😭 hope it doesn’t drag on that long!

Sad to read Paul Ritter has died of a brain tumour aged just 55.
Probably most known for Friday Night Dinner but had done a lot of theatre too. I remember seeing him at the NT in Curious Dog.

I've never seen Andrew Lincoln on stage, can anyone vouch for him? Seems a shame from a purely wish-granting perspective not to go for some theatre megastar, given there must be plenty with availability... He was brilliant in a play at the Almeida, can't remember the name but it co-starred Toby Jones, who would have outclassed him had he not been top notch, and in fact they matched each other. I saw that too - Parlour Song by Jez Butterworth.

Just saw this radio station is closing down which is a shame. I’ve only recently started listening to it since I’ve been WFH, I do find they seem to repeat the same old songs all the time though.

I just got my refund from ATG. They kept the £3,65 transaction fee but whatever. Got my refund for Be More Chill two days after I emailed LWTheatres and now all of my tickets for the Easter weekend have been refunded. I just had an email about Be More Chill - offering a refund, credit voucher or rebooking for a future performance up until 1st August. Are theatres just doing this to keep your money a bit longer as can’t see performances going ahead that soon anyway.

I got around to seeing this the other day and after reading all the negative reviews on here I was actually pleasantly surprised with it. Not half as bad as I was expecting. Obviously nothing will beat the tv show but thought this was a fun couple of hours spent in the theatre. The cast were all excellent and it made me very nostalgic of watching the tv show as a kid and has made me want to re watch my box set now!

Sorry if this has already been discussed but will the cinema broadcast be released on dvd? If so, I’ll give the cinema a miss at £20 a ticket!

You have until 9am tomorrow galinda to pick up an offer for November, tixuk.com, but there is nothing past that at the moment. Didn't see this until it was too late but I see that new tickets have been released so I will try and get some cheap tickets in the upper circle for next year.
Will go check your site for seat recommendations

They do £25 day seats at some performances, they decide on the day. They also dynamic price. So, worth asking and see what they can do - and check the theatre website anyway, too. Thank you! The box office weren’t doing the day seats the day I went and the cheapest they offered me where £90 something - no thanks! Hoping to buy some tickets as a present for Christmas so hoping some offers turn up soon!

Does anyone know what the chances are of getting reasonably priced tickets for this on the day? (Saturday)
Do they do day seats at all? Couldn’t see anything on todaytix about rush tickets but wondered if the theatre do any?

If you’re coming tonight, buy a programme when you get here if you want one! They’ve sold out of the matinee allocation by the interval. Quite a few disappointed people! Really disappointed I couldn’t get a program this afternoon. Bit stupid not selling people them when they had the boxes of programs under the desk. Hope no one wants them this evening and they are left with loads they can’t sell!

Are they still banning you from taking water in to the coliseum?!
Do they just make you empty it or take the bottle off you? I have a fancy bottle that keeps my drinks cool so won’t take that if they steal it!!
