Is this being filmed for a NT live type screening? I thought I read it was but can’t find anything when I google- maybe it was just a dream I had/wishful thinking!!!

Is there a set schedule? Anyone know who is due to be on this Saturday evening as Strat?
You can find the schedule on the official website under "Ticket Info" - you should be seeing Andrew on Saturday evening, he's usually off on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Thank you 😊

Thanks for the replies. Still not decided on whether to book or not! Maybe I can drag a theatre obsessed friend instead!

I really enjoyed a few already mentioned - Betty Blue Eyes, Lend Me a Tenor.
Stephen Ward - I was ill the day I saw that so didn't overly enjoy it but whenever the CD comes on shuffle I like a few of the songs.
How about From Here To Eternity? Any one else like that one? I loved that, went back a few times.

I think the publicity said "over 10.000 tickets at £10 throughout the run" or words to that effect, so not guaranteeing a set number per show.
I saw the show the other day so was reading through the program last night and it says 25% of the tickets were £10.
Loved the play, quite sad I can't fit in another visit.

Just saw on facebook Richard Winsor as Tony. (Matthew Bourne's shows/Casualty) He is mid 30s - bit old to play a 19 year old but I am still very tempted to go now.

I hate this heat. I seem to be able to cope with it on holiday as can dress appropriately, have air con, a swimming pool to cool down in etc but here it's horrible. No air con at work

Anyone who saw this before in Sheffield.. do you think it would appeal to a non musical theatre fan? Thinking of getting tickets but will be going with my boyfriend who isn't a theatre buff like myself. What shows does it compare to?

I was thinking of seeing this but some of the reviews are putting me off.
It was between this and Flowers for Mrs Harris.. (can't be bothered going to Chichester twice!)

The CD arrived today, and I must say on the whole I was fairly impressed with the quality. It's advertised as a live recording, which it clearly is, however, the end of some of the tracks seem to have had an extra audio of huge whooping and cheering from the audience added to the end. It sounds like the same loop literally cut and pasted onto each one though, and it doesn't sound as though it naturally occurred that way in the theatre. I'd love a second opinion on that though, perhaps I'm wrong. Either way it sounds too enthusiastic for a British audience! Ordered my copy from the Bristol old vic website last week after reading your post and still waiting. I’m so impatient when it comes to waiting for online orders to arrive! Can’t wait to hear the show again!

It was lovely and cool in The Other Palace last week.
Anyone been to the following recently and can report on them..
Noel Coward, Young Vic, Trafalgar Studios, Phoenix, Ambassadors, Garrick?
Think they are all the ones I am booked to see this summer!

I'm really hoping that audios of Lucy will crop up soon. I'm intrigued to see how her voice fits this role, but the current tour is literally going nowhere near me. I missed my chance when it came to Newcastle with Madalena, and I'm still kicking myself over not going because a lot of my friends went that night. I saw it this week.
I thought Lucy was brilliant through out. 'Peron' was good too. Glenn was too old and seemed bored in the role already!

I went on the link he posted and it said "booking opens at 10am Friday". I randomly looked at it yesterday evening and saw it had Sold Out. All a bit misleading and annoying.

Absolutely wonderful tonight in Bromley!! My fourth time at this show (twice at Charing Cross & saw the Arts Ed recent production). I was in row B so I had the intimate feel with the actors within a whisper. I’m glad this is still done with all the actors all taking on multiple roles (it still amazes me with all those quick costume changes!!). Thought the cast were in form & wow those voices really sung out the score to a packed Monday audience (loved & could tell a few fans were in tonight). Yes I cried during Act 2 & it got a big standing ovation!! Can this do another little stint in London please!! What is the temperature like at Bromley? Do they have air con? Seeing it later this week there and hoping I can enjoy the show this time as last time was at the Charing Cross and I remember I couldn't concentrate on the show as I was nearly passing out in the heat!

Who is in the cast this week at Woking? Should be Lucy O’Byrne, Glenn Carter etc. Thanks for the reply.
God damn it, I booked it thinking it was the previous cast

I had qualms about the very end where Eliza reaches her hand out and looks into the middle-distance, followed by a black-out. In my humble opinion, it just felt a bit corny.
That bit made me and my friend laugh out loud yet everyone else around us were sobbing!

Delfont works, ATG doesn't. Seems quite random what is blocked and what is not. I'm not a computer whizz and so have no idea how they do it! Yes maybe I will be brave and ask for a some to be unblocked!
Exactly at least I still have here for the theatre goss. The only other one that would be nice to have is theatremonkey - how dare they block that!!!

Major disaster at work .. the IT dept seem to have tightened up security on the work computers/internet and so many websites are now blocked Most of the sites I use to book theatre tickets. I do so much ticket research and booking at work (on my breaks obviously ) now I can't. So damn annoying. Anyone else have this problem at work? This site still working though.. for now.

I thought I was alone picking up about 4 each show I go to. I put them in a folder with my tickets. You’re amongst friends. This feels very validating, like therapy I love how we all seem to pick up a couple of extra spare copies

I am currently having a clear out and the amount of theatre leaflets I have picked up over the years is actually ridiculous. I have multiples of the same leaflet for some reason. I think I must have some kind of compulsion when it comes to picking the damn things up! When I have the time I will go through them and just keep one of each but what to do with the remaining ones. Ebay? Anyone here want any? Seems a waste just throwing them in the bin. I wish I wasn't such a hoarder

Yes, that's my interpretation. Unfair I think but there you go. Also interesting to note their strict "no refunds or exchanges" policy - so they can change their minds at any point about your credit, but you can't change your mind at any point about a purchase. (heads off to check the Ts and Cs of my hotel loyalty points and airmails) My friend actually managed to get a ticket exchange from them last month - it was when we had all that snow and my friend couldn't get down to London and they were really good and let her exchange the tickets for the following week. She said the person who dealt with it was really friendly and helpful. Yet I had a bit of bother with them last year, I think I had opened a new account to get £10 off (we have all done it right?!) and I got a really rude horrible email from them and they shut my accounts and took the discount from me. I don't think I have used them since.
