I did once annoy a couple from New Zealand by mistaking their accent for Australian lol.

I'm aware that I'm going to sound incredible naive but I didn't even know this was an issue. It's like annoying a Welsh person by saying Swansea and Cardiff sound the same too! I honestly don't think I could tell the difference... However, I don't have many Northern Irish/Irish or Welsh people in my life so they're not accents I'm overly familiar with. Obviously I know an accent when I hear one but I wouldn't be able to differentiate accents by region.

I'm so so excited to see Rachel again. I adore the hint of Irish that comes out in her singing voice, mainly I'm Not That Girl. It's wonderful. Erm...you mean Northern Irish. There's a difference, don't make the mistake of assuming everyone who comes from NI doesn't mind being called Irish. I don't care, I use Irish or British interchangeably depending on my mood (and sometimes depending on which passport I happen to have to hand!) but not everyone is so inclined. I'm aware that I'm going to sound incredible naive but I didn't even know this was an issue.

I don't hear her singing voice as an Elphaba but I can't wait to see her! At least she's someone completely new to the Wicked family - the breeze of fresh air the London production desperately needs. And yes, I can neither wait to see her. Hopefully they'll announce Rachel's holiday dates rather sooner than later (provided she has any). As I'm assuming that they'll be doing 9 show weeks over Christmas and New Year's, Alice should at least be doing one each. There's also a rendition of her singing Wizard and I on Youtube. Oh, it wasn't a criticism as such, I'm also glad there is new blood. I think once she's in costume, character etc. it all starts to fit. I'm sure she will have shows before Christmas anyway, Rachel tends to call out once every couple of weeks at least - also not a criticism!

Now... What are the chances that we'll FINALLY get a Glinda who is allowed to hit the optional high note in the opener?! Suzie has form for doing it! Pleeaassseee!! Sorry double post but yes! I hope so! I'm really looking forward to seeing Suzie!

In love with this recording of Rachel recently on Broadway! She really is incredible!
I always am taken aback by how hysterical people can be at Wicked though, particularly on Broadway! People are wooping and clapping from the moment Rachel flies!
She was also suffering from a bad sinus infection when this was recorded. She's amazing.

Really hope it's Rachel - and she can bring those Broadway riffs with her!

Rachel Tucker is absolutely smashing it out of the park on Broadway - I'm not saying I want her back in London for a long run as I want to see new blood in the West End cast but if she took over in September to see through the anniversary and the Christmas season that would be incredible!

If Rachel continues as Elphaba my money would be on her taking lead on the new tour and not London. Rachel was recently in Asia (Japan I think) doing a series of concerts, she'd be a known name to entice an overseas audience! I did think that but would she want to travel around while she has a young child? I thought that would make her more likely for the anniversary.

Somebody has asked Rachel on Twitter if she will still play Elphaba after June 2016 and she has replied saying 'Yes'.
Has she signed up for London's 10th anniversary do we think?!

Well, I should have listened to my inner voice. Left at the interval. Absolutely dreadful. We HATED it. You may have been sat next to me as they didn't come back after the interval either. I didn't hate it but I was very bored. Memory in the second half was very good. And that's it. The rest was very very dull. I'm not sure how this show is so famous.
