Do we know if this is likely to fall into the terrible sound, missed cues and underrehearsed category of concerts or if this is going to be one of the good ones? I think its going to be a goodun! The producers have a good track record. Rehearsals have been going on for 2 weeks and a further week before that with Jac and Alex. The rehearsal clips I've seen online look very promising.

Just searching through some musical gems on an old hard drive and came across the music for this show. I don't really know if it was a musical or dance show but I saw it several times at The Peacock Theatre and absolutely loved it as it was completely mad. Its basically all about shoes in all shapes and forms, very funny and amazing dancing. Written by Richard Thomas of Jerry Springer The Opera fame. I believe the cast included Damian Humbley and Alison Jiear.
I have the CD somewhere but I cant find any trace of the CD on Apple Music.
Does anyone else remember the show or saw it?

At Steven Schwartz 75th anniversary concert recently he said it was coming to London this summer and also said he is coming over for Pippin next week so wonder if the announcement will coincide with his visit.

It will interesting to see if the musical has changed from when I saw it years ago at The Kings Head Theatre. I thought it was great fun and the music wasn't bad either.

Having Patricia Routledge in 2019 at Cadogan was fine as there was a reason for it, but I'd be annoyed if that happened here. And yes, Bradley Jaden would have been much better suited to Billy. Bradley wouldn't be available as he is doing a series of concerts in June.

We did enter as a team once didn't we? I remember being part of it at the old Theatre Cafe in Shaftsbury Avenue and we had some theatreboard badges.

Just mentioned this to a work colleague and she asked me what it is based on?
Can't find anything on the website to say who is playing Oliver?

Well I thought this interview with Jac Yarrow was pretty excellent. We’ve not heard him speak in depth about anything beyond Joseph and thought it was brave for him to speak out about the recent Arts Ed allegations. I reckon his Pippin will be rather splendid and hope we get to see him do more challenging work going forwards: open.spotify.com/episode/6JOiVdjvT5l7ncryR7FkKzThanks for the link. Just listened to it and it was very interesting. He comes over really well. Sat next to him a few weeks ago at a concert and had a bit of a chat about Pippin and other things and he was really nice and genuine.

Got a couple of 4th row stalls for the Monday. Prices are high but I think this will be a quality concert and will sound glorious.

I've just started watching this on the advice of forum members. I am 2 episodes in and am enjoying it. However I find, for a true story, it's rather implausible. She says she is a lawyer who owns lots of property (which i realise she doesnt) and yet she says she can't afford a drink and he has seen where and how she lives, so why does he not challenge her? I guess the reason is that the series would only last one episode. Anyway it's still entertaining even if its all a bit far fetched.

I don't think it will come back to London. It will go down in theatre history as one of those shows you can say "I was there".
However, in this case, I hope I am wrong as I would dearly love to see it again.

That NT "celebration" was a pure circle jerk of cringe. It was a bit, but look on the bright side: at least it didn't feature Kevin Spacey playing the harmonica. From what I could make out it was mainly people who were singers performing, Joanna Riding, Janee Dee, Fra Fe, Adrian Lester, Calum Howells, Tracie Bennett (who was different!) and, of course, Meera Syal that famous MT singer??? Or was she the token Asian?

Does anyone know what the seat numbers for the 8 seats in row A are? Are those the seats with unlimited legroom? They look brilliant.

If it hadn't been for a friend saying she wanted to go I would have missed this completely. Thankfully I booked tickets and had an absolutely brilliant night out. It was such fun and the audience made the night. There were certainly a lot of serious fans out there who knew every word and movement and i spent as much time watching them as I did the actors on stage. For quite an "animated" audience everyone was really well behaved and they were just having a great time. Cast were excellent as well and sound quality was generally very good. Loved the kind of megamix at the end with everyone up dancing and singing along. 7pm start! excellent idea. I was actually home in time to watch the Olivier's on TV. Would be nice if more of the Sunday concerts would do that especially with Monday being a work day. 4 seats down from me sat Dame Joan Collins and Juliet Mills (who is married to Maxwell Cauldfield). Joanie looked bemused throughout.

Well it was Sunset's night which I am pleased about, one downside is that Tom Francis beat Charlie Stemp but I think if Sunset wasn't there then Charlie would have won. Really pleased for Operation Mincemeat and a very well deserved win. Also a novelty to have a winning show that's still on in the west end as usually the winning musical has been and gone. The win should secure their continuing run in London.
