Guys.. Can someone remind me. Does Company begin with a screen showing Bobbie's friends texting her? Or did I imagine this? Just trying to do some research. No, it's starts with Patti LuPone making an announcement terrifying people that if they use their phones during the performance...she will jump off stage and kill them! Hehe sorry couldn't resist!

I think social media may have more to do with it, however I think some general rules need to be widely shared!
There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for people screaming, pushing or adopting the "i'm the loudest and am pushing the most so you must talk to me first". What has perpetuated this barbaric behaviour?
On the whole whilst the dealers can agitate things a little, most actors are very good at dealing with them. It's very clear for actors to tell who has and who hasn't seen the show. It's those who are badly behaved "fans" who can mar things. Anyone got a good name for them?

Can anyone tell me how long Paula Tappenden (Mrs Lyons) has been associated with the show?

That's an interesting point talkstageytome as I'm sure the stage doors for certain shows are getting busier and it's not as fun. I do wait for autographs after matinees, but you have to always expect people not to come out between shows...although on some occasions you can be lucky.

I still can't believe the lead hasn't been named! COME ON ANDREW. Perhaps suggestive of lots of people pulling out of the part!?

Would you like to see a edgier more gritty production? I think the current one is laughably dated and camp.
Oh totally. There is so much mileage in it.
It is unbelivably hokey now. With a 80's sensibility that's long since lost it's charm. (although I suspect this is why many of its regular audience love it)
Even elements of the musical direction I can't take seriously (the EastEnders "doof-doofs" mainly!)
If the powers that be actually cared about it, they would inject some creative lifeforce into it.
It deserves better than being another Mousetrap.
I really like the Mousetrap...plus the sets for that were redesigned in 1965 and 1999.

This is one of the (numerous) reasons I don’t like this show. Adults playing children makes me cringe personally (opening of funny girl... hideous) but I appreciate some people find it funny/novel but even so there are limits. I’m taking absolutely nothing away from the actors concerned, or their talent, all of whom are entitled to earn a living. But 19 years in the same role? And 30 years “on and off” in the same role playing kids and young men? Good luck to these actors in what they do next, they deserve better more rewarding work. And Bill Kenwright‘s casting department get a grip and view this as an opportunity for change. I was talking to a lovely 76 year old lady at the weekend who has BB as one of her all time favourite shows and even she had to admit the last run at the Palace was “very tired”.
I LOVE the show, as a piece, but it needs a serious overhaul in every aspect of it creatively. I have lost respect for the way it is treated as a faithful old retainer by Bill Kenwright, playing on audiences who love familiarity and cosiness.
Would you like to see a edgier more gritty production? I think the current one is laughably dated and camp.

Unless he has obscene tattoos, I don't see the problem with showing them. Not obscene, just too numerous to not be a distraction or problem, and given how much of the show he’d spend with thrm out I wouldn’t have thought they’d even offer it to him. Jaymi Hensley has tattoos who's currently playing the role on tour...I've not seen any photos yet though

I have long since started to despair at the exaggerated pricing in the Minerva, especially as it is a lovely performance space.

Oh god...I hate it when fans pretend to be "friends" with performers. I've met lots of people more than once over the years, but I always realise I'm just a pleb. I find "acquaintance" a useful word under those circumstances. There are actors & singers who I've met a number of times, sometimes exchange tweets with, they might hug me upon meeting at the stage door, etc. but if anyone else waiting at the stage door asks me if I'm friends with such-and-such actor I've just been chatting with I immediately disclaim & say that I'm only acquainted with them. I agree Dawnster, that's a most suitable word.
I have hugged some performers at the stage door, but only special ones! Plus...I'm good at hugs haha!

That's always rough when that happens...especially when you are travelling from far like Wales. Haha I’m assuming you’re being sarcastic and I 100% agree! I was happy to see the show regardless but Mum was firmly in the “I voted for him on the tele, I want to see him live!” Ironically I wasn't being sarcastic which is most unlike me. I can be nice on occasions

My Mum will be very happy with Mr Mead reprising his role... I still remember the day we went to London to see him only to find out at the box office that he wasn’t on - I thought Mum was about to kill someone! That's always rough when that happens...especially when you are travelling from far like Wales.

I am not at all convinced that Jennifer Saunders and Coward are a good match. I have these reservations too, it will very much depend on the strength of the supporting cast. Lisa Dillon is an excellent start as Ruth

I'm currently whizzing through a recording of Lee Mead from 2007 and being reminded of just how much loincloth action there is. In light of this, someone call Richard Fleeshman's people NOW No call back Lee Mead. Not a big name!

I'm seeing Cosi next week I believe, but ironically I am not a fan of Mozart's operas at all. I agree that Cosi is the better of a rather dull group. I'm mainly going to see Thomas Allen again, but I may not look at the stage as the production is dreadful!

Whilst there is some lovely music in Gigi, the plot is somewhat troubling these days.. Thank Heavens for Little Girls - I know the final line was added - but it is still an uncomfortable message Indeed...it depends on the director's angle.

How about Sally Field and Bill Pullman in the upcoming production of "All My Sons"? That one isn't going to be cheap!

Felicity Lott is unwell and will not be performing the role of Heidi Schiller at opening night tonight. Replacement TBC. Chances are it will be Josephine who knows the role! Let's hope Felicity starts to feel better soon, she is the main reason I will be seeing the show soon!
