I wonder if there are any other things that you repeat attend? Concerts etc? Or is just musicals? Back when they were still touring, I did attend several concerts of one tour from the German band Die Ärzte. They haven't been touring for quite a while now, but if they were again, I'd try to catch a few more concerts. Not sure if that counts, but I've completely lost track of how many times I've seen The Big Bang Theory.

I knew my Excel sheet would eventually come in handy...
Wicked - 131 Rock of Ages - 47 Memphis - 27 Book of Mormon - 24 Avenue Q - 20 Legally Blonde - 19 Newsies - 14 Aladdin - 12 School of Rock - 10
Wicked is at the top as it's been running for ages. If Rock of Ages and especially Memphis hadn't closed that early (and if Memphis' tour hadn't been pulled), they'd have overtaken Wicked by now. However, if Newsies were to come to the UK (which is most likely never going to happen, but one may hope), that'd be another candidate to dethrone Wicked.

And of course it's the best ever. As will be tomorrow's. And the day after's.

I'd love to see Oli Tompsett do this. Is he currently available?

I’m not sure I could cope with standing for a whole performance!!! I had a standing room ticket for Come From Away which is somewhat shorter than DEH, but it became uncomfy pretty quickly, as I had also stood in the rush queue for 5h (and yet only got SRO).

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me where the cast board/screen is?I managed to miss it last time. It's shown on the monitor above the box office, and I think there's also another one above the cloakroom at the other entrance.

Why don’t you change the title of the thread if it upsets you that much? I just did. (Though I’d have thought that anyone who was sensitive about having plots spoilt wouldn’t be looking through the thread in the first place!) This.

Don't think just mentioning the show's name without the actual plot twist makes much sense

Well, I think they'd be slightly ridiculous in a thread named "Musical Plot Twists" - what else would you expect in such a thread?

Does Miss Trunchball being Miss Honey's evil aunt in Matilda count?

Too bad they've apparently cut Be The Hero, my favourite song from the show.

In my opinion, standing ovations are given way too often and too easily anyway

2018

Not excited at all by these shows. The only two of these I might go and see are Chess and Little Shop, but, as viserys said, it very much depends on the casting, as I've already seen both.
It seems as if I'll be seeing even fewer shows in 2018 than in 2017, and this year will already have set a new record low.

Mormon was clever and smart, Toxic Avenger was just stupid. Interesting. I felt that both had similar "South Park" (American Frat Boy) type humour, myself. While I wouldn't call Toxic Avenger stupid, I do agree with @tbfl that Book of Mormon's humour is much smarter. I really liked TA back at the Southwark Playhouse (and look forward to seeing it in November at the Arts), but BoM is a completely different level.

Oh, and I'm really looking forward to reading the new Ken Follett novel that'll be released this September. This has arrived! It is the size of a breeze block! It has maps of Kingsbridge and Kingsbridge Priory on the inside cover. Can't wait to get stuck in!📖😃 The German edition has 1168 pages. I've read the book over the last weekend - a true Follett and a real page turner. Really enjoyed it and you don't need to know anything from the other two books to follow the story.

So... Molly will lose her son? Younger brother?
If I happen to be in Berlin (might be) and happen to snag a cheap-ish ticket (rather not) and have absolutely nothing better to do, I might actually go and see it. But then again, the leads are most likely playing only three or four shows a week anyway, so with my luck, I'd miss them anyway.

Just got an eMail from Stage Entertainment announcing that Willemijn has been cast as Molly in the German production of Ghost opening in December in Berlin.
I'm happy for her to land a new lead role, but isn't she a tad old for Molly?

Gonna fuel the fires with some classic stalking- Amy Ross recently followed Aaron Sidwell and Helen Woolf on twitter. I do wonder if team_amy_ross is already taken.
