I don't know how Michael got around it or if it was included in the price, but when you book for a Stage Entertainment show, you normally pay 15% "advance booking fee". PERCENT. THEN they add a bunch of other bizarre charges like 2 Euro service charge and a bizarre 5 Euro "ticket-related fee" - if you don't pay 4.90 Euro for having the tickets posted, you still pay 2.90 Euro for picking them up. If there was a fee for my order, it must have been included in the actual ticket price. That's my booking confirmation (directly from eventim.de who should be their official ticket dealer): The actual ticket is €59,90, and I have to pay €4,90 service and shipping fee. Luckily, I still had a €10 Voucher, so the total of my order was €54,80 - still pretty expensive for a seat at the back of the Stalls.

I really missed Don't Let me Go and Build a Wall from the West End version of Shrek, especially Build a Wall as it was such a serious song compared to the rest of them. I believe Don't Let me Go made a return for the tour? Yep. Just checked my programme from Manchester, and Don't Let Me Go is the third song.

As I've already seen School of Rock on Broadway, I go for Vanities.

Is it worse than The Master? The user interface is much worse than Ticketmaster. I almost despaired of booking a ticket for Dear Evan Hansen - especially trying to select a seat. If you got some time to spare and some hair to tear, give it a try: www.telecharge.com/Broadway/Dear-Evan-Hansen/OverviewUnfortunately, Broadway is separated between these two, so if you want to book tickets through the official agency, you have to deal with either telecharge.com or ticketmaster.com. That raises an interesting question about whether the whole ticket scam of post charges, printing charges, booking fees etc exists outside of the U.K. Is it the same in Germany Michael? I book tickets too seldomly for events in Germany so I don't have that much experience, but for Love Never Dies in Hamburg, I only paid €4,90 service and shipping fee (face value was €59,90). Not too bad. Broadway is still the worst, though. My recent Book of Mormon ticket (when ticketmaster.com was still working) summed up to Ticket price: $99.00 Service fee: $8.50 Order processing fee: $3.20 International Will Call: $2.50 Total: $113.20

So you've never booked on telecharge.com then?

On the one hand, I'm all for casting someone new and fresh as Elphaba, but I'd be thrillified if that Willemijn rumour turned out to be true. After all, she is my all-time favourite Elphaba and she also deserves a proper send-off, as she had to end her first run in London prematurely because of her back surgery.

Tried some more shows and got this error message for Book of Mormon, Wicked and Aladdin. Odd.
Just emailed care@ticketmaster.com. Lets see if (and when) they'll reply.

Savannah is sick - talk about bad timing for her. Same happened with Rachel in her last week Now that you're mentioning it, I do remember (unsuccessfully, unfortunately) crossing my fingers to see Nikki do the last two shows.

If Ghost was your favourite show ever, would you really not go and see the tour just because you didn't like the leading lady? Emma Hatton, Brian Sears and Dean John Wilson have put me off seeing Wicked, Book of Mormon and Aladdin, respectively - and I love these shows. So yes, the casting of Sarah Harding alone makes me not go see Ghost (not that it's one of my all-time favourite shows).

I'm currently trying to book a ticket for my upcoming New York trip in December on ticketmaster.com. However, after I've chosen my seat, put it in the basket and solved the captcha, I always get this error message: Different browsers didn't help, either. I've also tried other dates and even other shows but still get this error. Anyone of you facing the same problems? Any ideas how to solve this issue? Because of the international call charges, I hestitate to call them - after all, booking tickets with them did work three weeks ago.

More to the story from Shrek. Such a beautiful song, much better than many who remained in the show.
Here's Sutton Foster singing this song at a cabaret:

I only saw Loserville at the Union Theatre and thought it was one of the best things I've seen that year. The girls were too quiet, the band was too loud and drowned some of the actors, but I absolutely loved this show.

Yes that might be a good idea, however will fellow board members realise that the list has been updated? As long as we leave the new post in place as well, we'll be able to see every time there's an update, but we'll also know if we need to check for reference, the first post will be up to date too. S'pose you could also put a little "updated on [date]" message in the first post too. Update done.

Are Southern trains still such a mess, or is their service back to normal? How could anyone tell? (Or was that the joke?) Maybe I omitted the final "bad" after normal? Seriously, I'm only taking their trains between Victoria or London Bridge and East Croydon to get to and from my hotel and until this June, I could never complain. Plenty of trains during every hour of the day, but admittedly, I can take pretty much every train that stops at East Croydon and departs from Victoria and London Bridge and don't know how the service is for people living in the south of England. But this June, there were lots of cancellations and the few trains that were running were jam-packed - apparently because of staff shortages. At least that's what the posters were saying. People in my trains were complaining loudly that that's been going on for quite a while.

Why would anyone even propose changing these in the West End? 1) They're idiots who know nothing about life outside London. 2) They're idiots who know nothing. 3) They're desperate for retweets. Take your pick. You forgot: 4) All of the above.

I had assumed it would go into the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, but now that 42nd Street is in there I was thinking maybe the Palladium? That's a big stage and as far as I'm aware is free from January. They'd be stupid to go to the Palladium. It wouldn't last very long at all there - way too big a theatre Please let them be stupid. Pretty please.
