Plus with Stephanie (& previously Sarah) covering Nina and Vanessa and Michael covering Usnavi and Kevin they could play father/daughter or love interests in different performances

Rachelle, Eva and Zoe are leaving in December too, this'll feel like more of a cast change than the actual designated June one!

Now she's replying to tweets that aren't even directed to her and are in freaking DUTCH I mean... I love how she most likely had to run that through Google Translate just to see what they were saying

The worst stage door experience I've had was when I saw the Miss Saigon revival in previews. There were fans wanting to get a picture with Tanya Manalang (the alternate Kim) and would put an arm around her and spin her round in the direction of whatever friend was taking her photo, poor girl! I've heard less than pleasant things about fans' behaviour with the Tams, which is even worse, those kids are only 4-6 years old.

David Thaxton wore wristbands as Enjolras to cover up his tattoos, a trend which has carried on over to other London Enjolras' (Enjolrai? Enjolrati? Enjolrases?) regardless of whether they have tattoos.
I remember Matt Cardle kept his tattoos in Memphis, I suppose there was far too much of them to cover up but it did make me question why a record store worker in the 50s/60s Deep South was able to have tattoos, there was far more of a taboo about them then.

Josh is Kurt from Glee's "Evil Twin." "Evil" implies there's some planning behind his actions. Josh just seems bitchy for the sake of being bitchy, and stupid on top of it. Asking the blonde one what she thought of the other girls while they were sitting literally a few feet behind her and definitely within earshot, what did he expect would happen? Plus the insults that come out of nowhere, the "I'll be working on the West End and you'll be stacking shelves" & "you think you're relevant just because you were on EastEnders" were made out to be these huge **SASSY!!!** comebacks but they had no relation to whatever argument was going on at the time.
And scrubbing names out of rehearsal books? Really? This reminds me of the whole Brexit "use a pen!" conspiracy. You don't "get to the top by stabbing people in the back", you make connections and maintain a good reputation.
I'm starting drama school in a few weeks, please tell me they aren't all like this.

I'm on a Yahoo musical trading group and someone posted an audio from 1st September, and I have to quote the full post because of the hilarity of it:
Gift Ghost 'reimagined' UK Tour
Untracked because I couldn't sit through this again. For those that want to know what has changed, or are considering booking. Or just for those that want a laugh - this is a professional tour.
Ghost the Musical 1st September 2016
Cast: Andy Moss (Sam), Sarah Harding (Molly), Sam Ferriday (Carl), Jacqui Dubois (Oda Mae Brown) Leo Sene (Willie)
Mod Edit: Link removed /Mod Edit
The random cheering isn't because anything cool happened, half the theatre was comped for the ensemble's friends and family. Both Andy and Sarah's acting is actually worse than their singing, and ALL the illusions are gone. Oh and the pottery!
Feel free to share this, post it on youtube, whatever, just please do not credit me. The more people that hear this before wasting their time and money the better.

Found these clips on Youtube too, it sounds like she sings With You like it was in the original workshop clips, in a lower key and melody changed to avoide the E5 in the final verse

Bit of a stab in the dark, but maybe it's to do with the safety of the performers? I suppose making understudy dates publicly available tells people when certain actors are going to be out of the house/on holiday all week, same reason why people are advised to not post when they're going on holiday on Facebook, or potential thieves know when the house is empty and can rob it. Just a thought, not sure how valid 😄

True, but in Sister Act she's undeniably the lead whereas in Dreamgirls she'd be playing second fiddle to Effie, especially with the arguably more famous Amber playing her

Found these 2 tweets which seem to give us some casting info. I know Damian Buhagiar was Sonny at Southwark, and the first tweet plus Sarah's about her final Nina date imply that Sarah is staying but playing a different character, maybe Daniela or Vanessa?

Lovely weather Lovely dancing and movement Lovely abs Songs like nursery rhymes Repetitive and repeated As to be expected from ALW Lack of singing ability all round Jesus particularly bad Think it was understudy this matinee Bad bad bad And there really isn't that much glitter It's a really well thought out production badly let down by the vocals I WAS IN THE SAME THEATRE AS PARSLEY!!! Oh, how I wish I'd known!! I knew we had an understudy JC but didn't particularly mind. However, yes, was was unfortunately quite vocally weak. Gethsemane was quite under powered and the rest wasn't much better. Dancing/movement was brilliantly choreographed and excellently executed by the equally brilliant cast. Disagree, however, about the singing ability of the rest of the cast. Judas, Pilate, Caiaphas, Annas, Mary, Peter & Simon all outstanding vocalists - with quite a phenomenal orchestra! I was at that performance too theatremad, and I saw Aladdin's Jade Ewen, Ethan Le Phong and Trevor Dion Nicholas in the audience too

I worked that out wrong, I know Jocasta (and I'm assuming the other Dreamgirls gang) are leaving on the 4th, and Cleve's just tweeted he's leaving then too!

Josie has tweeted that she's got 3 more days as Abuela then 2 weeks as Camila before she leaves, plus Jocasta, Ryan and Kimmy will be leaving in 3 weeks for Dreamgirls and Philippa at the same time for Rent, I'm assuming a cast/extension announcement is imminent?

There's this story from Jerry Herman's biography about when Ginger Rogers missed performances in Hello Dolly on Broadway:
"Merrick [David Merrick, the producer] devised a foolproof way of keeping the audience in the dark as to whether they would be seeing their star. He had the conductor give the downbeat for the overture at the precise moment an announcement was made that 'tonight the role of Mrs. Levi will be played by Bibi Osterwald, Rogers's understudy.' The ticket window would be slammed shut at the same time."
It's because of this the Equity rules were changed so the audience had to be informed via at least 2 channels (announcement, slip in the playbill, castboard in the lobby) if they were seeing an understudy, and the character's full name had to be used and the box office had to remain open for refunds.

I believe Lin has confirmed that the character Vanessa isn't named after his wife, rather his sister's best friend (and Nina is based on his sister).
I think setting the show in a specific year would be better as well, again in Everything I Know Nina sees a picture of Usnavi as a baby in 1987, so he'd be ~29 in 2016, and in a relationship with Vanessa who's presumably the same age as Nina (1st year of university so ~19) which is a little off.

I heard that about her later in the run, but I saw ITH in October when it had just opened, and personally thought she was fabulous. I was dreamcasting her as a future Elphaba actually, because I thought her voice was so clear and powerful. I guess it partly comes down to preference at the end of the day. Oh and I also enjoyed her performance in Cats too! It could have had something to do with her later in the run, I saw her in May before she left (or got fired, I heard rumours...) but she was good in the role, but I was a tad disappointed in the vocals for that role, especially as I loved her in Cats. So I guess seeing her in this will be a nice change and hopefully it is a role I enjoy her in like Cats, more than just finding her good in In the Heights. It is a smaller role so she should be able to find the vocal demands a lot easier. If you're willing I'd like to hear about these rumours (yes I'm a terrible gossip), you can message me privately

My friend saw it tonight, I believe the understudies were: Daniela - Sarah Naudi Carla - Alexzandra Sarmiento Camila - Jocasta Almgill Abuela - Josie Benson Vanessa - Emma Kingston plus I think Raffaella Covino as Nina, he's not sure because he didn't actually see the understudy screen
