And that two over the rainbow contestants would play the wicked witch of the west I must be being slow, but who is the second one? I know Sophie was Glinda.
Jessica Daley understudied the role in the recent Palladium Wizard of Oz

Ivano was on Wednesday with a small bandage on his foot so I assume he’s been off with an injury

I consoled myself with the fact that {Spoiler - click to view} they got back together right at the start of 2020 and so probably spent lockdown driving each other crazy and broke up again

I saw the Dutch revival, there was some things I really enjoyed like how songs were rearranged (especially The Gods Love Nubia) and Radames being made less of an arsehole but cuts/changes to the book took out most of the jokes and the character development of the two female leads. Plus they cut the first 2 songs so the first 10 minutes or so feel a bit flat.
Having seen this and Mandela it’s clear Schele Williams has a few directing quirks, namely a handful of dancers doing contemporary movement to no music, and one single ensemble member wail/singing when something sad happens. I see what she was going for but it just looked goofy.

I think when I saw it they had changed the “processing the gooks as fast as we can” lyric - but I can’t for the life of me remember the new lyric. Anyone able to help? It’s now schmucks

If you google “luggage storage Sheffield” (or any city for that matter) there are shops & hotels where you can leave your luggage for a fee (normally about £10/day)

I’m confused, I signed up for the free presale but when I tried to choose a date to buy a ticket I was told I wasn’t eligible because I’m not an ATG member Quickly sign up an account with ATG. Was it the LW link, Jamie Lloyd or ATG link you received? Either way, set up account with ATG, sign in to account, then access the queue through the presale email link you received. If you haven't received the email, sign up to ATG and then search for "Sunset" and access directy through their website. Good luck. I didn’t get sent a link

As a general rule Jon Robyns had Fridays off and Dean had Thursday matinees off so I guess it remains to be seen with Josh

Anyone finding it suspicious that situations keep arising that make them need to call Laura back? Almost as if she has been taking out the other Elphabas Showgirls style?
(I am obviously joking)

Elesha Paul Moses normally does Tuesday, Thursday matinee, Friday, Saturday evening
Kristina Love normally does Wednesday, Thursday evening, Saturday matinee, Sunday
You probably saw Kristina who originated the role in Hamburg and is wonderful from what I’ve heard

They’re having terrible luck over there, after a week of cancelled shows tonight’s performance was also cancelled after act 1 due to cast illness

I'm sure the powers that be are very pleased with themselves with this cast, but talented as they may be (alexia is my favourite ever elphaba) I think it would have been a far better precedent to set if at least one of the leads was of Asian heritage. Especially considering this is the UK and it would represent a large sector of society. I have several friends from Asian backgrounds and I can say that they certainly don't feel like the pursuit for equality is actually equal. I believe Joe Thompson-Oubari (new Boq) is part Malaysian

I have tickets for Saturday matinee, but due to the train strikes the last train might be quite soon to the show ending. For those in the know, does it usually finish as close to 4:45pm as the website suggests? When I went a few weeks ago for a 7:30 evening show it finished at 10:16 so you should be ok

Connor can’t really take credit for the bargirls singing actual Vietnamese either, that was one of the Broadway revival ensemble members who pointed it out and contributed a translation

It’s such a bizarre choice, the Engineer is one of musical theatre canon’s most misogynistic characters and the GIs only treat him better than the bargirls because he’s a man
I always felt the point of Kim’s story was that all the men in her life let her down and she’s the only one who can save herself
