Sister Act UK tour should have opened tonight. The old dates are still showing on the venue and official websites. Has anyone been contacted by the Curve about it? Edit - new dates for Leeds have been announced, roughly same time next year.
Update from Curve posted on Twitter today:
we are working to reschedule all performances of Sister Act. However, as with this ever-changing situation we are not currently in a position to announce new dates. We will be in touch with all customers with further information as soon as possible. Thank you.

Lesley Joseph said on This Morning that the touring production will feature a 14 piece orchestra. Supposedly London will too

I predict the plot may go along the lines of Deloris has been working at a dilapidated nightclub for her whole career. She never had the voice to truly make the big time but Curtis convinces her this is her chance.
Kind of like how Judi Dench played Sally in Cabaret.

On Sheridan’s Twitter, there is a video of her singing Jacob and Sons with This Morning Producer Natalie Edwards. It is more fun banter than what we’ll see in the show but lovely to watch. Also, it is now confirmed that Sheridan and Jason will perform a medley of Joseph songs during one of the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals this week, though the exact one is not known.

I think it would cost a lot to have loads of big female stars now but just thinking that it would be cool if Katherine Jenkins turned up as Jenny Lind and belted out Never Enough from Greatest Showman. Or Dame Maggie Smith could have a small sit down role of Granny Bear or something. Neither will happen.

I get that Sir Tim Rice was probably in that cast group photo as the lyricist but it really makes me hope that he will be playing Jacob, as unlikely as he is to put himself in the media spotlight that much. Although how fab to have to original school production Pharoah back in it? I would die of happiness.

Palladium have updated their status on Facebook asking people to sign up for panto announcements and Baz said last week that he will have news this week - so seems likely.

SPOILER info on the staging. Over the course of the evening the set moves continuously and almost imperceptibly, taking one and three-quarter hours to reach its final position. The play is staged in a kitchen set, formed by four trucks which move diagonally off-stage. As they move off-stage, slowly gaps appear in the walls as they move apart. In addition to the four trucks, a large floor pallet moves downstage, carrying with it the star of the show. www.lsionline.com/absolute-and-lightstrike-at-the-bridge

Apparently Darius was going to reunite with Sheridan to play Joseph but he couldn’t wear the multi-coloured coat because he’s Colorblind.

Second and third row stalls seats have now become available on the Delfont Mackintosh website. Expensive at nearly £80 but worth it for the chance to have Patti pour her martini over you.

Doesn’t look like being July for the cast recording. I did tweet Dianne Pilkington (Elizabeth) about it the other week and she said it was coming.

Post from Olly before last night’s show: “I’m normally the one giving out tips for a sing song but...Best ways to keep mouth moist for long periods on stage without water . Never been a problem before but the factory is dry! Do lemons work ?”
And after: “Thankyou for all your tips to moisten my mouth . Tongue biting went down a treat! And an accidental sour sweet! Great show tonight! Loved it!”

A really random guess of mine is that we could be getting the original Broadway Lola and Charlie for a few weeks; Billy Porter and Stark Sands. I know they reprised their roles on Broadway.
