By the looks of things, Olivia is hinting she will understudy Jenna. Two posts on Instagram of her with the baby bump. Obviously this may just be her playing around in rehearsals, but still, worth noting. Or they might’ve been rehearsing Club Knocked Up

These new pictures are all so beautiful. I don't know who took them but I'm going to guess they went back to Matt Crockett as they don't seem to be Darren Bell's style. Yeah, the post of new photos on the London Theatre Bookings website confirms they’re Matt Crockett’s work

If it was pulled for ticket sales reasons, I do think it was always going to be tricky to sell a one-man show before announcing who that man was going to be, and surely you would anticipate sales picking up once that announcement was made, so maybe things just didn’t come together for this one. A real shame, as it was wonderful at the Vault Festival with Jamie Muscato at the helm, and it deserves to have more people see it.

Jordan is on tonight for Charlie, likely his last. I’m happy for him, as he missed his last scheduled shows before Christmas

Has this been discussed? As of April 1st, Hamilton is adding 30 seats in the stalls. They should remove the extreme side seats as the view is severely obstructed. ADDING them?!?! Where the bloody hell are they thinking of putting them? Abolish all the aisles completely? Moving Row K (and thus all rows behind) forward a bit, to squeeze another row in at the back

The Other Palace website has short descriptions for the shows Oh wow I didnt even think to look there; feel pretty stupid! Thanks for letting me know No worries! It is pretty poor to not have those descriptions on the actual website though

It’s a little annoying that the website doesn’t even have small descriptions of the shows. I want to try a few of these out, but i’d rather pick based on a rough idea of what they’re about rather than just a title. The Other Palace website has short descriptions for the shows

I’m starting to think they meant Christmas 2019 when they said the album would be out before Christmas. I mean they have 4 days left but they’re all weekend/bank holidays so 🤷🏻♀️ The ‘before Christmas’ came from Paul Taylor-Mills so I was always inclined to take it with a pinch of salt, given that he’s not involved in the actual production/mixing of the recording, and those that are (Kevin Murphy, Larry O’Keefe) have been quite clear that they aren’t going to rush it because they want it to be as good as it can be

There’s the possibility of some changes happening next year, as there’ll be a new producer, but I’m not holding my breath!

Les Mis 25th Anniversary tour at Barbican, a 30 minute train journey to London turned into 2 hours due to a fatality on the line. If I remember correctly, we arrived part way through the Prologue, and were allowed in to our seats at At The End of the Day. There were a fair amount of latecomers for the same reason.

I’ve done 3 shows in one day in London once - like robertb213, thanks to the 11am performance of Seussical at the Arts, which was followed by the matinee of Merrily We Roll Along at the Menier and then finished off with The Bodyguard at the Adelphi. Still not made it up to Edinburgh for the Fringe yet, but when I do that will no doubt take the lead from 3 shows!

I think it will be a crying shame if Jamie Muscato doesn’t get nominated (and win, in my opinion) but I fear that Heathers will just be dismissed out of hand.
There definitely seems to be far more award-worthy leading female roles than male in this season’s musicals.

Is Jamael unwell? Ash was on for Hamilton tonight (Wednesday)... Unless they wanted Jam do be in for the new cast’s first night so they swapped days? Was Jamael on yesterday (4/12)? Yeah I’m pretty sure this was the swap for Monday’s show

I’m not sure that WOS don’t ‘curate’ the shortlist though - I’m sure Hamilton would have had enough nominations for Set Design (even if the set is the simplest thing about the show, the Hamilton fans would have nominated it for every eligible category)Edit: Also it was 6 nominations for Heathers Well, not all Hamilton fans vote for anything the show is nominated for by default. I love Hamilton, it's one of my favourite shows ever, but voted for Patti, Jonathan, Rosalie over the Hamilton cast members, and gave my Direction vote to Marianne Elliott. I'm starting to get tired of some people thinking we can not like anything else or vote for a different show/actor. Of course some people just vote for anything Hamilton, just cause it's Hamilton. But that happens with every other show. Well that’s certainly not what I meant at at all (and I also wasn’t talking about voting but the actual nominating). I’m sure many, but not all, Hamilton fans would have nominated the show for as many categories as possible, hence the omission from Set Design is a little surprising - and thus my pondering if the voting shortlists are actually just those with the most nominations, or if they’re tweaked. I’m a huge fan of Heathers, but I neither nominated it for every category nor voted for it in every category it ended up being nominated in. So sorry, when I said “the Hamilton fans” I should have been more specific about it being the type that would nominate/vote for it regardless.

strange nominations - no Kelli O'Hara, no Phantom in the musical category and in nearly every category Heathers, Hamilton, Six and Eugenius I wouldn't include Heathers than that. Considering its a fan nominated award, I'm shocked it only got five nominations! I’m not sure that WOS don’t ‘curate’ the shortlist though - I’m sure Hamilton would have had enough nominations for Set Design (even if the set is the simplest thing about the show, the Hamilton fans would have nominated it for every eligible category) Edit: Also it was 6 nominations for Heathers

Marisha Wallace is fantastic! She would be a great Becky. I was hoping for Oliver Tompsett for the Doctor... but I think from what I’ve gathered rumblings at stage door for a Kinky Boots the other night it’s David Hunter and then Laura Baldwin as Dawn. No idea for the others, Would be interesting to see who Ogie is too, that part was great when I saw it. Well to buy into that, the two most recent Twitter accounts that Laura has followed are David’s and Marisha’s

They were collecting for MadTrust and World AIDS Day tonight, so I got the opportunity to tell Rachel John how wonderful she’s been over the past year on the way out. I will really miss her Angelica.
I’m glad I managed to get along to a show this week, to see the cast members who were off on my last visit once more. I still can’t comprehend how Obioma didn’t get an Olivier nomination - he is phenomenal. I’m almost glad I won’t be there to witness his final One Last Time, it was already far too emotional for me tonight! I’m also really pleased I was able to see Christine as Eliza - a beautiful performance all-round.

Sounds like it’s not worth trying to get an elusive ticket before cast change then, as there’s likely to be a few leads off every day, even this week? Not sure why Jamael (who hasn’t been on yet this week) or Giles were off, but this was a scheduled ‘one-off’ Eliza show for Christine (assuming they were giving her another go before she leaves) - Rachelle should be back from tomorrow, and I imagine the others will also be doing all they can to be on.
