Not sure this is a good idea - but you never know with the creatives involved. The Tom Cruise character is now female. Minority Report for UK

It had a very successful run in Los Angeles.

The WEL performance was not enticing to me. I've seen this plot idea in films and TV but never known any school that actually did the fake baby for a week thing. And, the "students" seem oddly excited by the project - when, in reality, I would think they would think the exercise is stupid and a waste of time and resent the whole project. But, then, that's just my thoughts.

It’s interesting hearing the more positive responses about this here. I saw it on press night and thought it a load of drivel. A production which really missed the point and was let down by some seriously poor casting. Oh well! Maybe it got better over the summer months? Maybe Lily Allen developed a third tone of line delivery? We saw it 24 June did not enjoy it all

Is it available to amateur companies atm? Whilst the thought of hideous sixth form drama princesses mangling ‘Candy Store’ is terrifying, it offers great ensemble and ‘character work’ perfect for mid-sized groups with a balance of male & female leads. I don't know about now - but I was asked to consider directing a community theatre production back in, i think, 2015 or 2016 in the States - for a very small black box theatre. I politely declined after reading the script.

In London, I've seen Three Sisters in Russian at the Vaudeville I've seen The Damned in French at Barbican. I've seen Lily Allen in The Pillowman at the Duke of Yorks. I think I can handle Spirited Away in Japanese.

Thanks for the replies. Would you have row B or C are too close? We had E11/12 and they were perfect views. We are not tall, so legroom was fine.

Geez, and we thought we were getting a deal when the box office gave us Row F43/44 for 35 GBP each! Well, at the time, it was a great deal as I think those sites were otherwise 105 GBP. It seems like the house kept Row F seats for later. (Note: when we saw it on 1 July, there was someone in Row G on the aisle taking notes during the show). I now see that those seats have been reduced to 85 GBP and 45 GBP for "seniors"!

I can't be the only person who immediately thought of Peter Capaldi... I was thinking Hugh Laurie who I don't think has done theatre in quite some time. Laurie and Fry?

Sigh. We had an open Saturday matinee on the last day of our last trip - and decided if we could get an inexpensive ticket to Crazy for You, we would do that. If not, then we would get the inexpensive tickets to Anarchist. The GL Box Office was too kind and Charlie Stemp was incredible and so I don't have regrets, but there was the thought that Crazy For You might come to the States whereas Anarchist likely would not and so we would miss our opportunity. But, we did what we did. I only wish we had seen Anarchist instead of Pilllowman!

Talented creatives but … Is this going to be like 39 Steps? I see Foley did a four actor Ben Hur once upon a time.

Some details on the filming: "Filming of the musical took place using seven cameras placed at multiple locations within the New Victoria Theatre during regular performances, with the cast and crew also filming the show in an empty theater during the day. The release plans have been established with a well-known distributor, and an official announcement is expected in the next couple of months." Some DetailsIt appears it is both "live" and then some portions filmed on an empty stage - sort of like Miss Saigon?

Now, back to the show. Purchased the OLC when we saw the show on 30 June. Now back in the States, I have started listening and, to me, it's an excellent recording that I am immensely enjoying. I'm catching so much more that I missed attending the show. And I enjoy many of the rhymes - including "a trojan horse. no a trojan corpse."

We were put off by the prices on the website (back on 1 July) and just went to the boxoffice at noon asking about "day seats". We were told there were no "day seats" - but then were sold Row F seats 42/43 (I think - they were center) for 35 GBP each. I was shocked when we sat down. Amazing seats for an amazing price.

So, have the reviews dampened ticket sales? I peeked ahead starting 15 July and while there are a lot of tickets sold, it looks like quite a few of the high priced and side seats are not sold. I don't know how many of the seats showing as sold are just rebooked from the prior attempt to stage the show.

We were there tonite - row E 12-13 - as we booked a while ago. Thought show was a lot of fun and brilliant in parts. No empty seats in stalls. I dont know if seats were discounted or people paid full price. Sounds like we saved some money off current ticket prices.

Saw this evening of 24 June. I did not enjoy this. Tempted to leave at the interval but remained curious where the play had left to go - there was one story title that seemed important that had not yet been "performed." But, overall, I found this just sick. And I was more sickened by the laughter in the audience - it wasn't widespread laughter but one or two people who just found somethings uproarious and had big big laughs. I dd not see this is a great play hidden by poor performances. Llly Allen was fine, I guess. But, she had basically two notes - semi-hysterical/on edge in book scenes and flat unemotional n the narration scenes. I can see how a different characterization could change how the story feels - But I just doubt it would have changed my reaction much. I can see the theme of "stories" we tell to get us past trauma - but that idea is presented early and then just repeated constantly to not great end. Mrs NCBears missed that this was a "totalitarian fascist state" - although Pemberton says it almost as a joke about police - as in, people always see the police n that fashion - not that these police are actually part of a totalitarian fascist state. Indeed, I did first take it as a joke. Nor is it clear that the "State" objects to KKK's stories - such that only 1 has been published. They could be viewed as cautionary tales - or could be viewed as threatening by encouraging individual action against oppression. But, they are, in the end, just "stories" and while important to KKK, there is no indication why KKK feels her stories will be a legacy hat anyone will care about. I was really looking forward to this play - so much that we booked from the States, got single seats in the back of the stalls (Clear view, by the way T8 and U7) - and even with the comments about Allen, I thought I'd still see what was reputed to be a great play. I didn't see it. Not recommended. Your views may (and will) differ. Lastly, to me, and perhaps I missed the answer, but there is a huge plot question: {Spoiler - click to view} Why now are the murders happening? Why not over a longer period of time? Something has to trigger the brother to want to bring the stories to life.

I saw people apparently loading in on Friday. Not a lot of time to tech before performances.
