Saw the matinee today and thought it was excellent. It seems to have been shortened from previous runs (act one is 40 mins, act two about an hour). Found the writing very engaging and relevant and even as a white guy I felt I connected with it. Nice to see a very diverse audience at the theatre today too! Found act one stronger, and curious whether keeping the momentum going and playing straight through might have been the better option for this one.

Where are you seeing this? Because I see nothing. On the desktop version of the website.
Brilliant! Excellent spot. But what a strange choice of venue.

TodayTix says that it's gonna be at the Park Theatre, off-West End. Where are you seeing this? Because I see nothing.

Zoe Birkett is new Tina. Looks like a job share with Karis Anderson.

Struggled with this a bit tonight. For the first 20 minutes or so I just could not get with the whole tone of the piece, though I did start to warm to it as it went on and especially the more intimate scenes. It’s a very different style to your typical sort of play. Worth seeing for something totally out there and different but I’d be wary of seeing something similar again.

Quite enjoyed The Comeuppance matinee today. It sometimes felt like there were too many issues being explored, and there’s a bit of a bizarre theme running through with asides to the audience (and doesn’t go where you expect it to), but all in all I enjoyed it and would say it is worth a watch.

A very unusual email. I’ve been told a venue has already been booked for the transfer.

Primary Trust just won the Pulitzer Prize. Hopefully it will still come over at some point.

Enjoyed this a lot tonight, Denise Gough is a powerhouse.
That said, I didn’t quite feel the emotional connection to it that I maybe expected. I think in ways the play felt a little dated especially in the staging. I don’t know - couldn’t put my finger on it.

blamerobots it wouldn’t surprise me to see Back to the Future have one final extension to Feb/March and a new show open next Spring. I’d not be shocked if Tina didn’t even make it that far. Just looking at the seating plan, there’s always so many unsold seats - they must sell a huge number on the day. Both shows have had good runs so it would certainly be good to have something new.

This shows gets a bad rap but I actually quite enjoyed what I've seen of it - with a good cast it could be perfectly enjoyable, and a nice family offering for the summer. I thought it was brilliant in New York and the score is really strong.

Is this the first time the Pinter is going to house a musical? It’s usually the go-to theatre for star castings/mainly screen actors doing theatre for a limited run. So nice to see a bit of change. If Stereophonic will transfer to the West End next year after their Broadway run, they can probably be staged at the Pinter. There’s been a few! The Watermills “Sunset Boulevard”, Merrily We Roll Along from the Chocolate Factory, Sunny Afternoon, and the ill fated “Too Close to the Sun”

It’s a really bonkers show. Loud, brash and in your face, and really stupid (in a good way). In terms of comedy style the most closely I can compare it to would be Police Cops Would it make any sense at all to someone who had not seen 'Titanic'? I honestly don’t think so. For me though, with Titanic being one of my favourite films of all time, and also being a huge Celine Dion fan, it was a perfect mashup.

Hmm I would have said the Lyttleton is too big. Maybe one for the Duke of Yorks. I thought it would fit well into Hampstead theatre too.
I saw this and thought it was very good. It’s just also very long so I’d probably opt for a matinee given the choice 😂.

Or one of the cheap as chips circus tents sat empty somewhere? Would make sense. Isn’t it Disney who are doing it? If so I’d be expecting very high quality.

Really glad to see what seems like very high levels of success for these tickets on the boards. I would quite possibly have missed the onsale without the post in this thread as my email only came through at 11:39, so many thanks to bigredapple

Omg how LOUD were those moments. I don’t know if it had the intended effect. It literally sounded like a gun or bomb went off or something and made me scared lol. Omgosh, so loud! The look on Alex's face when it went off during the finale!

I’m through but getting an error message when I try adding tickets to my basket If it is about 'connecting to the box office' then someone else has nabbed them just before you clicked. Managed to get them through “best available”. Went for stage stalls. My dad will think that’s cool at least and it seems there’s some pricey seats there for normal dates.
