Funny you say that Stephen doesn't have as much vocal range as the other Deweys - when I saw him, he hit all the high notes with ease, and was much more comfortable with the high notes than both David and Gary (Gary, in particular, being weaker with the high notes in the 3/4 times I saw him). Maybe he was playing it safe vocal-wise in his first week in the lead Dewey.

I was there tonight and it was almost completely sold out again - it really does seem to be selling well still. If sales start to drop, then they may stunt cast one of the lead roles. I can see someone like Matt Cardle in the Charlie Price.

I really think Stuart has the hardest role in the entire show. He does everything the leads do, as well as the ensemble from start to finish. Its quite remarkable. I agree with Ryan, wouldn't be mad if he nabbed a nomination, it would be totally deserved! Absolutely - I thought Stuart, along with Clare, was the highlight of the show. Brilliant dancing and singing (probably the toughest role vocally in the show, and I could clearly hear Stuart, even in the big ensemble numbers).

Raoul not jumping is part of the new staging I suspect - given the principal Raoul has only just got back to fitness after being ruled out of On the Town. Reports are that he hasn't yet taken the jump.

While I agree that Joe's Paso wasn't a 10, I was rather pleased to see he got a 10 before Aston, who hasn't improved at all since the start.

That ties in with Twitter where Lewis has recently started following Michael and Simon (and Michael now follows him too). If true, this makes me very excited. Michael became my favourite Frankie by the end of his run, Lewis was easily the standout of the last tour, and Simon and Declan were really great additions to the London cast in the final year at the Piccadilly.

There are references to events that have happened in other books, but I don't think you need to know the books at all to get something out of it. If you buy the programme, that gives you a summary of what happens in every book, plus some terms used that you may not be familiar with.

I've seen Ben, Scott and Luke, and I'm afraid Scott was by far and away my least favourite. Whilst his voice was impressive (if a bit too operatic for my own personal taste), I didn't care for his acting at all. Luke was far from passive at the performance I saw, and Ben has really improved as the Phantom. I love his acting choices mostly, and his voice is much more powerful than it was at the start.

Finally saw Sixpence this afternoon - glad I caught it as it's so uplifting and Charlie is a delight. Don't think Jane How was on, but other principals all there. Catch it while you can folks. I too was there - Jane How was off, as was Callum Train and David Burrows (whose understudy looked far too young to be Charlie Stemp's uncle). It was my third time seeing this and loved it just as much as the first time. Charlie Stemp is still absolutely brilliant, and I really loved Devon and Emma as his two love interests.

I saw the play Thursday night and last night and loved it. I can't compare the cast to the originals as I never saw them, but I thought the cast were excellent, especially Theo Ancient and Samuel Blenkin as Albus and Scorpius.

I'll be there - but I've seen this a few times before. As jukebox musicals go, this is one of my favourites.

Cynthia is my favourite role in the show - she gets most of the best lines in the show. In terms of songs, she sings in 4 songs.

I saw this show tonight and I have to say, even with a dodgy script, I loved this. The songs were amazing (particularly loved What Part of My Body Hurts the Most), and the cast were excellent. Ben Purkiss was brilliant in the leading role, and I was very impressed by Georgia Carling as Raven, and Rob Fowler/Sharon Sexton made a great pairing as Falco/Sloane.

Robert Fairchild is playing Will Parker in this We discussed this earlier in the thread Apologies, since he only confirmed it on Instagram today, I thought it was new information. I don't know anything about this show. Is Will Parker a signficant part? Is there much dancing involved for Mr Fairchild?

I don't think there will be a 3rd cover Lola this year.

Just seen the new Lola in a video West End Live released of the WEL performance (obviously). Firstly visually he's not what i expect of Lola, he looks small and muscly and i'm not sure about it and secondly, and maybe it's not a fair comparison based on one performance but vocally seems way below Matt. But he's probably a more assured and natural looking dancer than Matt just based on that clip. I think his vocals sound fine on the videos I've seen - he sounds on a par with Matt Henry to me.

This may sound dumb, but I'm almost hoping for West End Live they don't do Listen or And I Am Telling You just because they always perform them. Like, I fet they are the most famous songs from the show, but why not do a different selection like the title song or even I Am Changing just to switch it up. The clip I saw on Instagram of the Dreamgirls soundcheck today was of Marisha doing And I Am Telling You.

That looks like a similar size cast to the last tour. The Dynamites are ensemble too.
Interesting that they haven't gone down the celebrity casting like they did last time. The show is probably known well enough for them not to have to go down that route.

I saw this tonight - best bits by far were the songs. Great singing and great harmonies. The rest of it left me a bit baffled. For something that won Best New Comedy at the Oliviers, it was remarkably unfunny. The bits that were meant to be serious were fine, but the rest of it was just not to my tastes. I also got lost as to whether they were portraying their main characters, or other characters. Overall, I was a bit disappointed, especially considering the rave reviews it's been getting.

What's Christine Dwyer up to these days? If they insist on giving us an American Elphaba I'd like it to be her. She's playing Sylvia in the US tour of Finding Neverland

I think they can do wonders with trailers with a quick zoom here and there, fast cuts and clever fast pace editing. For all we know they could have captured only the wow moments (and nothing was wow about what they've captured so far). Has Jack O'Brian directed anything successful/good? Catch Me If You can seemed very misdirected from what I've read..This seems like utter pants, and we all know how bad Love Never Dies was. He directed Hairspray, which was excellent (IMO).

What's Luke McCall (swing & cover Phantom) like? Loved his Enjolras so have been trying to see him as the Phantom, but I keep not being able to make the days he's on. Luke is excellent, and I wish he was the standby as I much preferred his Phantom to Scott. Luke has a great voice, and had great chemistry with Celinde. Have to confess that I have become a fan of Ben's Phantom - his singing is a lot stronger now than it was at the start of his run, plus I like his take on the Phantom. His Final Lair is probably my favourite part of his performance.
