During one of the touching moments of 'The Girls' an elderly man shouted, very loudly, 'don't touch me'. He was a few rows behind me, but I'm guessing he was being a disturbance and someone tried to tell him. There were people around me scanning for FOH but no ushers came over, I think. That said credit to Jenny Gayner for continuing as if nothing had happened. I heard that and was wondering what happened - amazed Jenny could just ignore it.

Having seen the show on Tuesday, I'd love to see Tosh Wanogho-Maud take over as Jimmy, he was brilliant.

I was there last night and the stalls were far from full, lots of people moved forward. Have to say I really enjoyed it - I thought the cast were great, especially the 6 Calendar Girls. However, I don't quite understand why they were all nominated for best leading actress, when Annie and Chris get way more stage time than the others. Thought Jenny Gayner and Shirley Jameson (the 2 leads tonight) were great, but the standouts for me were Claire Machin and Sophie-Louise Dann. Score was a mixed bag, but I did really enjoy Yorkshire, Dare, the song about Ruth and her Russian friend, and Sunflower, which was my favourite song of the show.

Ensemble wasn't officially announced in the press release, but are slowly being leaked on Twitter. Mark Isherwood is joining, presumably as a cover for the dads.

I agree with Daniel about the Donna alternate, I don't think it's really needed in terms of the performance being hard but it must be hard to blend older looking ladies into the ensemble who are able to cover Donna. The alternate Donna is in the ensemble.

Extended to March 2018 and new cast announced - Sara Poyzer, Kate Graham and Jacqueline Braun are the new Dynamos. Georgina Castle has been promoted to principal Sophie with Christopher Jordan-Marshall as Sky, Bobbie Little as Ali, Harriet Bunton as Lisa, Damian Buhagiar as Pepper and Nye Rees as Eddie, with Caroline Deverill as alternate Donna.
All 3 dads are staying on which is a bit of a surprise as Richard and Alasdair have both been there a while.

Considering that the producers never did any speeches for cast changes, I'm hardly surprised they didn't do anything special for the final show. I've loved this show since I first saw it in 2011, and am very sad to see it closing. It's introduced me to some wonderful performers who I am now interested to see in other shows. I would say 'my' cast would be the company that opened at the Piccadilly (with Michael/Sandy as Frankie) as they were the company I saw more than any other, and IMO, were the strongest set of 4 seasons I saw over the 6 years of watching the show. I look forward to seeing the tour next year.

If I was the right ethnicity then Lola from Kinky Boots. Other dream roles include Marius in Les Mis, the title character in Phantom of the Opera, and Edna Turnblad in Hairspray.

Well he actually said that it was his award from last night (in character as the Genie) and got a round of applause for it.

Trevor Dion Nicholas showed off his award this evening - he normally brings something out of his back pocket at the start of the show, but that was replaced by his WOS award tonight.

Clearly, the last 2 awards were held back to allow their winners to come over from the Palace to collect their awards.

Yes, Listen is in this production, but very different to the film. It's now a duet between Effie and Deena.

I think it's dreadful that there's been no press release for the new cast - and indeed, they have started their first show, and no one knows who has joined the show (unless you're in the audience) as the website hasn't been updated. Really poor form IMO.

Saw this again last night, and the cast were all on top form - Matt Henry is still delivering an astonishing performance after more than a year in the role which is some feat. Paul Ayres was on as Charlie and I really liked him in the role (more so than David Hunter who I saw last time). I think I prefer Amy Lennox to Elena as Lauren, but she still does a good job. Alan as Don is great, I prefer him to Jamie. He got lots of booing last night when he was being rude to Lola.
Speaking of the audience - I'd say it was about 99% full, and it was one of the loudest/most enthusiastic audiences I've ever been in, the only ones which were of a similar volume were the closing nights of Legally Blonde, Rock of Ages and Memphis. Lots of cheering and whooping at the end of songs, plenty of laughter in the comedic bits, and an instant standing ovation from almost the entire Stalls section.

Matt Cardle was in the seat in front of me (with his girlfriend next to him) at Les Mis last night. They both seemed to enjoy it and joined in with the standing ovation at the end.

All this talk about Lily Fraser not having the vocals for Deena and not being a match for Effie - surely that's the point they should have very different voices. Isn't Deena supposed to have a light pop voice, a la Diana Ross, whereas Effie has a much bigger soul voice, with one of the key reasons Effie is replaced as lead singer being that Deena's voice would appeal to a wider, whiter, audiences? Certainly it's how it was played in the original Broadway cast - with a huge difference in the vocal abilities of Sheryl Lee Ralph (Deena) and Jennifer Holliday (Effie). It's why (IMHO) the Listen duet doesn't make much sense as it feels like two American Idol type divas doing some sort of sing off - maybe it's a necessary evil in this day and age - but to me it's out of place no matter how well it is sung. That said I haven't seen Fraser as Deena and maybe in this particular production she doesn't work - but she looks the part (she's gorgeous) - and has a voice which would seem a good fit for Deena as originally conceived. My issue with Lily was I could barely hear her whenever she sung, as she was always drowned out by backing singers and/or the music. I get that she should be different to Effie, but it would have been nice if she put a bit more power behind the songs.

I have to say I'm not surprised that Amber is on vocal rest. The role has a stupid amount of high notes, belting and shouting to do, too much IMO. I don't see how it's possible to perform this 6/7 times a week regularly without ruining your voice.

It's Marisha, Lily and Candace tonight. Very impressed with Marisha and Candace. Lily is OK, but her vocals are weaker than the other 2.

Wouldn't be surprised if he came over to be honest, I'm sure he stated he'd like to on periscope a while back. "pippip" looks also be a hint at London/ the UK. I really think it's a shame they won't cast UK actors in these roles, all of the standbys/understudies I've seen at BoM have been superb And yet America got Mark Evans as a lead Elder Price on their US tour, and their current standby Price on Broadway is British as well. I'm guessing Evans was intended to replace Creel here but it didn't end up that way. I think it's a real shame we haven't had British (full time) leads in this, and the show has been open nearly 4 years.

I saw it last night and really enjoyed it. Charlie Stemp is fantastic as the lead, but I was impressed by most of the cast (I didn't like Gerard Carey much). Score was catchy, and it wasn't obvious to me what was new and what was from the original. Pick Out A Simple Tune was the highlight, and it is still in my head now. I'd say the auditorium was about 90% full, with all 4 levels open.

Does anyone know what days Ben and Celinde don't perform.. Ideally I want to see Celinde and preferably not Ben! Ben does 8 shows a week - Celinde normally has Mondays and Fridays off.

Cutting Kristin's bow for Harvey and Martin annoyed me too, especially as she was the biggest highlight of the show with Jennifer. Also annoyed me that after Kristin's first solo, they didn't play any of the audio of the audienfe appluding so there was just awkward audio and then an ad, whilst most of the other songs got the audio and cheers. Tiny peeve but still. Kristin had a wardrobe malfunction, hence why her bow wasn't seen.
