A day late but yesterday, with my two daughters, took bus into NYC and saw The Bands Visit (incredible $40 rush seats) and Dear Evan Hansen. Heading off for coffee and then MoMA

Sunday I'll be busing into NYC and trying to get SRO ticket for To Kill a Mockingbird. So difficult to get tickets and they are sooo expensive so this is about my only option. If I can't then I'm not sure what I'll try to get into.

So pleased you had a successful trip to the East Midlands, sherriebythesea , in all senses of the word. How was the view from your seat? I've been fretting. It was wonderful. I was in Stalls B13. Could see every expression so clearly

A special afternoon, Mark was hypnotic as his malady consumed him entirely, had to fight back a tear when he finally freed himself. Definitely one to catch at the Cinema if you can. A special mention to the extremely nice person in the next seat, sherriebythesea , the Theatrical universe is indeed very small and much the better for it. It was lovely meeting you. I couldn’t hold my tears, during play, just so moving And I made the train 😃

On my way to Nottingham for Madness of King George. I did get some co comadal and it has helped at night. Been doing pretty good but soreness hits before going to bed. Sure it will go away soon. Refuse to let some jerk cyclist interfere with my vacation

Saw this tonight and I'm not a big fan. I thought I had bought tickets for when Adrienne was on but it was Jenny. I like the children playing young Anna Mae and that's about it for first act.
2nd act and Jenny seemed to get a bit better but, my god, the story is terrible on this and some of the songs just seem to be put in whether it fits in or not.
I was in AY 12, and only one around that was not standing up and clapping with music. I was clapping with it, smiling, just not standing up. Did not appreciate her, while singing, kneeling in front of me, looking me in the eye with her arms spread out as if trying to get me to stand up. My knees hurt witch.

Oh no sherriebythesea , I hope you feel better. I can highly recommend codeine. It's one of my favourite over the counter drugs. You might not be able to poo for several days but it's worth it. I sailed through a cracked rib on codeine. It's especially nice with a pink gin. Codeine? Over the counter? AND NO ONE TOLD ME THIS BEFORE?

Yesterday started off so nice. Had to walk about a mile to get around queue for parade so I could get into Churchill War Rooms. More interesting than I thought it would be. Saw so much of parade also. Then off to Finborough Theatre for Bury the Dead. Really enjoyed it and such an intimate theatre.
Decided I would go by Leicester Square to pick up some noodles for dinner. Walking (legally) across the street with big group of people and POW, I'm on the ground. Some cyclist decided to go around a bus that was stopped for the light and just wasn't paying attention. He tried to pull his bike up and ended up the bike going one way and him going the other...right into me and another woman. Had to have some help getting up but people were so nice. He got out of there as soon as possible. People were so mad at him, and letting him know it. He's lucky he hit me before I got my noodles or I would have been running after him.
I thought "I'm going to be sore tomorrow" and was I right. Spent all day today at Westminster Abbey and now having a hard time getting around. Time for some more Paracetamol.
Have a few more hours to rest up and then Summer and Smoke. And interval wine.......

I’m here having dinner before show. Is the dinner/theatre combo something that younger people don’t do? Everyone seems so old. Except me, I’m ageless.

Lots of covers on: Barney Wilkinson as Strat Craig Ryder as Falco Christopher Cameron as Jagwire Eric Hallengren as Ladoux All good. I did think Barney seemed rather too young and cute to play Strat. I know the character is meant to be forever 18, but the life experience didn't quite come across. He did sing very well. I thought Craig Ryder didn't quite have the presence for Falco, but again he sang well. I really need to try and see this again. I really liked Barney and “young” lost boy but that meant there wasn’t that much difference between him and Tink. {Spoiler - click to view} But I think Tink was too old for pre pubescent
and if the Ryder didn’t knock it out of the park vocally then I have to see other Falco

Go. The Barbican seats are comfortable enough for a mid-show nap if you need it. I'm in Stalls A row. Might be a bit disconcerting for actors

I’m so sorry you are having the voice issue. That happens to me when I have too much citrus. Feel fine but can’t talk. Good luck. Sounds like your job is lucky to have you

I saw this last night and the two leads were incredible. It took me a bit to figure out where they were in story but such a thrill to be able to see Jonathan Pryce and Eileen Atkins do their thing

I know i'm probably going be up all night watching the mid-term results back in the US. Like I said a few pages back I really hope prime Zodiac Killer and fake Texan Ted Cruz gets voted out. But, I don't have my hopes up. I’m right there with you. Going to be late night or I’ll take a pill after getting home from play and think about it tomorrow
