I'm aging myself but I can only remember crying when Jimmy Stewart died

That was fabulous. Loved the acting, staging, production, everything. I’m so happy my daughter pushed me into getting the dear ticket for this

That was fun. When I saw Bette Midler in Hello Dolly she was just Bette, not the character. I was worried this would be the same but it wasn’t. Ms Saunders was in character the whole time

I’ve never been to Richmond before. I’m very close to Vauxhall. Do I need to go on South Western rail site and book anytime return ticket or can I just use Oyster card? Does this include the express train? The station looks fairly close to theatre. Where would you recommend an early dinner?

Wonderful theatre day. Come from Away and Mary Poppins. I learned never feel obligated to eat in a restaurant just because you used their toilet

I’m not sure what to even think of this. My first Beckett play. Karl Johnson was wonderful, Alan over the top and I thought Radcliffe mis-cast. I would have taken a miss on this except cast sounded so strong

I was so wrong about BA. Plane was beautiful and crew were wonderful. We got a good tail wind and would have landed an hour early but had to hold until 6am to land

Hope this is not a look into things to come. Staggered out of bed at 3am to get to flight from Boston to Heathrow. Notice phone is lite up with a text from BA saying flight is cancelled and rescheduled me for an evening flight. Talked to CS, got checked in and seat assigned. I looked at flight details and it's a 747. I didn't even realize those were still flying? First, and probably last, time on BA.

It was an incredible view. I could see every emotion on actors faces. And only $39 (so cheap for that run) it was worth standing in line a few hours

What does SRO stand for, please? sherriebythesea it's the second time I've seen you use it and I can't work it out so will have to ask now. I thought "SR" might refer to seat restriction, as in view, but the "O"? I’m sorry.. yes, it is Standing Room Only.?Don’t know why they tack the “only” on there but that’s what they call the standing tickets here

I saw Jeff Daniels in this on Broadway. SRO behind last row of stalls. I was about center and it was perfect. Talked to others that were right and they said they only missed a bit of the jury. Saw and felt everything. I forgot I was standing. Everything was ground level or just a bit above

I arrive in London Monday Feb 17th and leave Wednesday the 26th. This trip is a 65th birthday present to myself and it is going to be all about the theatre. The first 2 times I was there I saw some incredible plays and I've seen a few on Broadway since then but I'm just rattled at so many choices and I'd like your opinions. This is what I have so far
Tues 18th Matinee - You Stupid Darkness Evening - Endgame
Wednesday 19th Matinee - ? Evening - Mary Poppins
Thurs 20th Matinee - ? Evening - ?
Friday Matinee - Cirque du Solei Evening - ?
Sat Matinee - ? Evening - Upstart Crow
Still have Sunday, Monday and Tues free also.
These are all I have booked so far.
I still want to see Uncle Vanya (Rush?) Cyrano de Bergerac (I keep putting this on list and then taking it off) A Number Kunene and the King (Rush?) Come from Away (saw on Broadway but need to see again) Rush? Rage Of Narcissus Matilda and/or Lady in Black
What would be on your "can't miss" list?
Thank you

I was going to bite the pocketbook bullet on this but nothing much seems to be offered other the SRO for the week I'm there. That's what I get for waiting too long I guess

Saw this yesterday with TodayTix rush tickets - £20 for row L of the stalls. Enjoyed it a lot although not as much as the woman in row C with an incredibly loud laugh who found it hilarious (eg at lines like "I wake up in the morning, and I have cancer" ) As someone with that diagnoses thats pretty much how it happens. I would have laughed also.

I got a ticket for this for Xmas. Wednesday Feb 19th. Says start time 7pm so if its an early time, it's one that has been on for a bit. Can't wait to see my boy Charlie in this.

The prices are horrid. I'm justifying it to myself because it is my 65th birthday trip to London and this trip is all about the theatre.

I remember watching this on TV with Carol Burnett in the early 70's and loving it. I would be so nice to see but it is opening after my Feb London trip. I keep threatening my children I'm going to move to London and go to the theatre every night but they know I couldn't stay away from grandkids for very long.

This sounded like a bad idea when I first read but now I'm thinking if it was updated to your neighbors going "off grid" with more up to date tech then it could be interesting.
