Rachael Wooding was also in Love Shack. (I'm going to mention that show as much as I can until someone else says they saw it.) I saw it in a very empty theatre in Birmingham!! Rachael Wooding is doing several Queen Rock/Symphonic concerts this year too.

Were the brochures a post opening night addition? I didn't see any when I went the week before. I shall have to buy one online.

I booked for this last week, a matinee in birmingham. So trust me to decide to do it just a few days before casting news and the info that someone i would like to see is part of it on evenings only! I'll probably book for an evening now too. ATG (if you booked with them) will let you change to another date for a small charge (no charge if you have an ATG card).

I've had quite a lot of small children and babies at shows this week (the children well-behaved, the babies unsurprisingly noisy). These were shows that aren't engaging for small children - it's kids week/month isn't it, so cheaper than a babysitter?!

I've got tickets for this in November. I haven't seen the film, would you recommend watching it beforehand?

Received this email from the Old Vic: "Groundhog Day is one of the biggest shows that The Old Vic has ever produced. The decision has been made to remove two matinee performances on Wednesday 27 July and Wednesday 3 August to allow us a little more time to polish the technical aspects of the show. We are contacting those audience members to offer an alternative performance or arrange a full refund (including booking fee)." Damn, I had tickets for Wednesday, and with 5 days notice. I can go to another date, but a friend was coming down on the train specifically to watch it. Does anyone have any recommendations of what to watch instead that would have a matinee showing for Wednesday? Thanks very much for your help. Show Boat has a matinee on a Wednesday, as does Funny Girl.

Could anyone help with some seating advice for this please? I've studied theatremonkey.com but can't quite make my mind up!
I'd quite like a bargain as I may have booked far too many shows for my holiday already! I can't decide between front row for £40.75, stalls C22 for £16.25 or D22 for £30.75. Both listed as restricted view. I'd like to save as much money as possible and don't mind missing a tiny bit but as it will probably be my only trip to see the show I'd also like the best balance between cost and view.

I did via the Delfont Mackintosh site sign up (confirmation) but not via the Hamilton site.

What on earth do you think happened?! That she just randomly decided - after several years of being an incredibly reliable performer who hates to take time off and was considered by most a true professional and a workaholic - that she didn't want to perform any more? That she decided to take time off the show in a blaze of negative publicity that has tarnished her reputation for fun, or because she just couldn't be bothered any more? Do you honestly really think she is enjoying this situation? Well said Kathryn Agreed. The lack of empathy from some on this thread is astounding!

ATG (and Delfont Mackintosh) exchange tickets anyway with at least 48 hours notice for a fee if you don't have a theatre card - they don't ask why you are changing tickets. I'm not sure on that basis it would work.

I believe the new booking period prices are a lot higher than the original booking period (excluding preview prices). I had a preview ticket that I had to swap and my seat had turned into a premium one which was over £100 in February and around £80 in November.

I saw The Sound of Music in Birmingham on Friday night (front stalls) and was surrounded by talkers, sweet rustlers, a woman who checked her phone three times, a phone that went off during a quiet moment. I was about to add "all the usual suspects" to the end of that sentence and realised just how sad that is. And a large proportion of the audience insisted on singing along to the entr'acte. Is this a thing now? It was no better on Thursday night. If I hadn't been with my mum I may have left at the interval due to frustration- it was that bad.

So I have had loads of e mails about tickets from this; all from agencies! Why nothing from RUG who I assume are the main ticket provider? Anyway, glad as with the Cats revival, ticket prices are just under current West End top prices. There was a time where every new ALW musical set a new high for ticket prices. I've just had an email from RUG.

I was just going to ask if anyone had managed to find the front stalls on sale for any date. Think I will hold off buying until they are on sale - I expect the whole section to be premium and top price though.

Erm.. She's played it before. Brilliantly. Isn't Samantha a bit old for that role? And also from what I've heard about her in G&D id find it extremely unlikely if she could handle that size a role 8 years ago now wasn't it?

As you can tell from my name, I am a huge fan of VW's! A little recommendation to anyone who didn't see it but ITV's tribute that was aired last Sunday was wonderful and is still available on ITV Player. It's also on ITV again this Saturday night at 10pm

Ticketmaster don't seem to have a great selection of seats either - well what they offered me on the dates I looked at weren't very good. Think I'm going to wait for the general onsale when there should be more choice of agencies and seats!

I wonder when the Birmingham tickets go on sale? Must be in the Studio space as Jane Eyre is on in the main house during this time. Jane Eyre is 2017. Oh yes! Thanks for pointing that out!! I've shows booked for early 2017 but not that far ahead so the year didn't even register with me!!

Gosh, this is expensive. Stalls: £55 front row (will miss footwork at times), £65 behind that, £115 premiums behind that, £90 premiums centre stalls, back to £65, then £55, then £45 back couple of rows. Dress Circle: £35 front row/s near safety rails (may restrict view), £65 and £115 & £90 premiums otherwise, 2nd dress circle block has £26 around the safety rails (again may restrict view), then £55 and £45 behind that. £17.50 very back row of dress circle. And no performances sold out! Booked front row Dress Circle at £35. The safety rail is not a big issue, if I remember correctly. Which part of the row would you say has less obstruction from the safety rail please? The more central £35 seats or the outer ends of the central blocks?

I think it's being cancelled due to poor ticket sales and losses Can't ever remember a show cancelled because a producer thought, "OK, I've made enough cash now, I can close up." Oh I know that! My response was to Daniel who was pondering it going into the West End
