I disagree. To me it fits the show perfectly..and in a simple way. What do you want from it? Someone in a wheelchair? No but it needs to tell you something about the show, and I don't think it tells you anything

It's definitely not selling well and papering like mad. I think their marketing is just...bad for this and people cannot really tell from the poster what this is.
It'd be a shame if it did only do 3 months but I can see why based on the money they must be bringing in

I know a production has been in the works for a couple of years now, but it isn't with Jamie Lloyd

The first song Twiggy sings is “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi. When she’s done she says “It’s got nothing to do with the story, it just happened to be #1 when I got Dame’d and I quite like it”. And at that moment I was like “ooooook, here we go.” This might be the best thing anyone has ever posted on this board.

This is in much better shape than the preview I saw.
The interval now sits before heading to the ball (a la My Fair Lady) which is great. Patsy has flourished even further and is so bloody good in this. Bertie has toned the Trunchball-ness in his voice down and is shouting a lot less of his lines, so it feels like he's got room to move about in it a bit more. Still obsessed with the woman playing Mrs Higgins - she's fab.
The ball still isn't quite right, and I'm not a fan of the guy playing Doolittle (although he's settled into it). 4 stars for me - it will absolutely divide people, but I enjoyed.

and for the love of god slow down The Music and the Mirror because she simply couldn't do anything but run around because of the ridiculous tempo.

It's a 1000+ seat house in Wembley - this isn't going to sell out. It'll sell well, but it isn't going to sell out. Let's wait and see on that... I think this show will sell out. It will sell well...it won't sell out (unless it's on a 12 week limited run which seems madness)...literally nothing does anymore...but sure

Also, this is being co produced by Michael Harrison - I can't imagine this will be particularly lavish.
Don't expect the AV set - it ain't gonna be that

Cast of 40 is insane. Will this actually sell well? This show will sell out. Curious newbies and nostalgia freaks will lap it up. It's a 1000+ seat house in Wembley - this isn't going to sell out. It'll sell well, but it isn't going to sell out.

Oh I imagine it's the same amount of seats regardless of whether its a lottery or rush, I just find rush a better system

Did the standing for A Little Life - I don't remember the numbered spot, I think it's like the Donmar where you just pick a spot on arrival.
Won't be buying a standing until we know how long it is though!

In fairness you'd expect at LEAST previews for a show like this, with a star as famous as Nicole to have sold very well and it hasn't, so Mr Barnaby is right...

Louise Dearman's Meadowlark was STUNNING, and Rachel Tucker coming straight out the gate and singing the living hell out of The Wizard and I were worth the price of admission.
Emma Kingston has a cracking voice but I've never thought her that good an actress (but in a concert setting she works super) - and I'd now like to see Muscato as Fiyero (he really showed Houchen up I thought...hugely emotional to see Adam Pearce back on stage too, thought he was really lovely.
Overall it was a bit ropey (the lighting was appalling and the sound all over the shop) but the people you expected to deliver really did, and were just about worth what I paid for a ticket (the lowest price bracket...!)

I’ve never been to the Menier before. When are tickets for this likely to go on sale? For the summer I'd imagine in the Spring - March/April

Stephen announced Baker's Wife to the Menier next summer. That'll need a star in it

Michelle Austin is the star of this by a country mile - virtually acting everyone else off the stage - really enjoyed her.
Paapa was good, but not great, and I thought the other two (particularly Taylor Russell) to be pretty poor actually - I understand it's her stage debut but she simply wasn't good enough to keep up with the others.
I guess the design was fine, but I felt it belonged to a different play and not this one.
It's a good play (anything by Lucy Prebble usually is), but as usual with JL productions you would hardly have any idea it was well written.
3 stars, just - but it got a standing ovation so what do I know.

Had heard it's coming with Platt for a limited run (but not Michaela Diamond) - Barbican would make sense.

I did expect a fair amount of 3 stars reviews, because in reality it probably is a 3 star musical, but it made me feel things that 5 star shows do, so I balanced it out at 4

The interval position has moved since they put it in I understand - they really haven't decided what they're doing yet in terms of having one or where it goes

The standing isn't numbered, it's just a general admission thing - it's just shown on the map that way so people can see where it is.

I know people who saw it on Broadway and they were like...it's fine.
But she's fun, an the audience will be fun, so I thought why not!

Booked two upper circle £25 seats as I'd just like to see SJP.
don't really care about the play but don't like missing out so thought I'd give it a whirl.
Loads of availability though for most shows

I've found that on the side is best - far left side as you come in is better (especially for Act 2)
