Surely all this chat belongs in the main Wicked thread? Alice Fearn has absolutely nothing to do with the tour. We’ve had this debate countless times anyway... Neither does Rachel but you sure don't mention her 🙄

We’ve got similar Elphie tastes so I think you’re going to love Amy! He's gonna LOVE Amy. Her, Nikki Davis-Jones and Ashleigh Gray complete the holy trinity of "best acted Elphies". Jodie Steele is an honorary member. *COUGH* ALICE FEARN *COUGH*

What gave you that impression Given current sales they've linked up with Today Tix and on Tuesdays you can meet a cast member after the show. Not sure it's a bonus myself. They're doing that every Tuesday now

Probs because Alice is away It's exactly the same situation regardless as to whether she's on or not. The vast majority of the Wicked audience wouldn't have heard of Alice before the show anyway True but they could of checked the cast holidays and not booked a ticket for when she's off

Just had a quick look on the Wicked website and it seems that there are in the region of 400 seats unsold for tonight's performance. I took a look at some other midweek dates and they all look very similar. Has the shown been running at this kind of capacity for some time now? May explain the huge PR push this year Probs because Alice is away

Seems to be lots of praise for Nicole on Twitter. What did you think AliceFearnFan2212 ? I would have loved to have seen her...If only she'd done tonight rather than the matinee! Nicole was OUTSTANDING as Effie White! She had a mixture of all the other Effie's, she was a lot like Moya in "Move" her AIATY reminded me alot of Cynthia Erivo's version it was SO GOOD it was full of emotion! Her "I'm Changing" was something else, the last note was spot on, she did it like Amber and it sent shivers down my spine! One Night Only reminded me of Karen, softly sung with a few little riffs that suited the song perfectly, Nicole's acting was PERFECT just as good as Marisha's acting, in parts even better! Nicole really smashed it today and I really hope she gets more shows! Turns out Karen is sick that's why Nicole went on! I believe Moya did tonight's performance

How fabulous. I didn't know that feature existed. I still don't know why Moya only gets two shows/week - she is amazing! LOL I presume Moya will be doing all the nights this weeks as Marisha is on holiday leaving Karen to probably do the Wednesday Matinee and the Saturday one too 😊😊 Nope, Moya is doing tomorrow's matinee and Karen will be doing the evening, I believe Karen is on tonight too and on Saturday matinee as usual, Karen's getting 3 shows this week and Moya is getting 5

The only way you can really know in advance if if you tweet Moya or Marisha. They are both super responsive. I would assume they'd know a few days in advance? or you could look at the Effie schedule on the Dreamgirls website, where you can find info for the next three Wednesdays www.dreamgirlswestend.com/ticket-information/#They haven't updated that yet

That's the first time i've heard Marisha sing AIATY because i've avoided it due to possibly seeing her in the role in the future, and i have to say, it doesn't sound my cup of tea. I prefer the smoother vocals of Amber and what i've heard of the other two. She's a great Effie but i do have to say I'm starting to prefer Karen, think it's because she mixes it up everytime where as Marisha sticks to the same thing lol, that's what i loved about Amber every time i saw her she did something new

Alice must have filed her riff requests in late because that was a riff free first half! Sat in row O in the stalls and sound is terrible, Sophie is louder than everyone after no sound at all to begin - she reached “rhetorical” before her mic came on. Alice is next loudest and Bradley/Melanie and ensemble sound like they’re shouting from the back of the stage! I love the scale of London, the ensemble parts on mass like that are my preference from the tour but there’s something missing today, perhaps it’s the sound but I’m a bit “meh”. Ooooo well she deffo riffed alot in the eve! Thing's ive never felt riff, Find me riff, High F riff, and the BMD riffs wich btw 2nd BMD was like how she used to it and what she did at Bristol Pride YAASSS so good she also did a again riff in NGD which slayed my life, Alice is just bae and she never fails to make me smile!

Is Moya off this week? I was going to go on Friday specifically to see her, but if she's not on I won't bother - she's the only one of the leads I'm interested in seeing. She was off 2 weeks ago lol, she came back last week, she's on this Friday

Interesting to see that casting breakdown - Elphaba 20-30, playing age 20-30. Well that certainly wasn’t the case when the show opened, thinking about Idina/SJB/Julia Murney/Ana Gasteyer/Kristy Cates etc. I would be interested to hear when & why the casting changed. Were you able to open the page? I couldn't as would need to pay lol, any chance you could post some screenshots on here of it? Cheers!

So I won the lottery yesterday for the matinee and went with the assumption, like with the schedule, I would see Marisha or Moya. Turn up to the theatre and Karen is on which made it a real interesting afternoon! I was surprised to see it wasn't full, and whilst the Upper was open, I overheard some people entering the Stalls and others sat behind me saying they hd Adbeen upgraded from the Upper. You all know I love the show and the musical itself, so I won't bore you with those opinions, but some opinions of the new cast as it was my first time seeing most of them. And boy do I have some opinions, but the good and the meh first. Starting off with Karen. I thought she was great! She has always been "the other Effie" for me, or the one to see just to tick her off the list, but she sang the sh*t outta this score. The accent was a bit ropey, especially pronouncing certian words, and I felt some of the scenes were a bit too rushed onnher part. However, when she sang I Am Changing, it is possibly one of the best versions I have heard, and she sang the hell out of some of the other songs. Her AIATY was the weakest of the 3 actresses I have seen, but she still sang it well and was clearly moved at curtain call by the response. I'd see her again. Brennyn I wasn't expdcting to like as I loved Liisi in the role, and I wasn't sure at interval of her, but come Act 2, she really came into her own and, for lack of a better term, stamped all over Liisi's versions of those songs! Her Listen was stunning, and her vocals on the dance songs were also amazing. She really nailed it with her performance. Asmeret. Had seen her before, she is the saving grace of the cast and holds the whole show together. She stole it from the two other girls and put on a performance that you walk away with just going wow! Fabulous. Kimmy was fabulous as Michelle. She played it alot sweeter and nicer whereas Lily always came across more bitchy and sassy to me, but it worked either way. She sounded great. I've seen Joe every time I've seen the show. Still strong, sounds great. Nothing particular to note. Marty is Marty. Not good nor bad, just there. C.C is C.C, no Tyrone Huntely but fine. Female Ensemble were fabulous as always. Look great, sound great, dance their asses off and own that stage. Now... I'm putting this down to illness as I have seen him do the role before and he was amazing first time around, but I thought Tosh was pretty crap this performance. He could barely sustain any of the notes that Adam could slay. And when his voice gave up, he just kind of threw himself about in an attempt to cover it up. He didn't feel present for me, and it felt very fake. I'm sure he must of been ill as he sounded vocally crap to put it lightly, so I will write it offas that, but still. EDIT: I have just seen that Sean Perkins had to make his Jimmy debut last night due to Tosh's illness, so he really was just ill at the performance I saw.The Male Ensemble. The f*** ya'll doing on that stage. Bar the two white guys Ashley and Callum, not a single one of them was giving any energy, excitement or look of enjoyment on that stage! Thankfully we are down to just one sweaty dancer now but he sweats enough for four of them and when spinning drenches the rest of them, which is ironic considering he barely seems to be giving much of a performance. I kept watching the guys to see if there was anything there, and there just wasn't. I didn't get it. They made Steppin' to The Bad Side boring! A real shame as the amount of talent that was on the stage first time round crapped on these guys. And the guy who covered Rohan who was off, really shouldn't cover that role, he can't sing or act for Jesus. But thats not to take away from Ashley and Callum, as they were showing the new guys what they should be doing and slayed. So for the most part it was a great performance. I'll look forward to seeing Moya and Marisha again, hopefully with some Swings on for the Male Ensemble. Yeah Karen did the matinee yesterday as planned then, Marisha's been on holiday all week! She's back tonight!

So I have just seen the evening show. And I must say that the new Deena was incredible. Brenny has such a nice tone to her voice and brings a much more mature and raw side of Deena. The new Marty is decent. All of the rest of the cast were fabulous. Especially Kimye Edwards as Michelle, such an upgrade from Lily! However I felt extremely dissapointed with Marisha’s performance. Her aiaty was very weak and no standing ovation was given. It seems to be this will be a recurring theme as I think she can’t handle the amount of shows. I was so dissapointed with the second half, it was almost like she was gasping for breath. I think my predictions were true, she has way too many shows meaning that she can’t handle the stamina needed. So dissapointing as it seemed everybody was too. Karen and Marisha split opinion due to their very different types of voices so mabye Moya should get the most shows? She has the experience and the stamina it seems. She’s also the closest to Amber meaning that people will not be let down with the different “flavours” of Effie. At this rate the show will close I think as Marisha isn’t living up to expectation and she divides opinion. Such a shame. ? Marisha's getting the same amount of shows as Amber did...

On Natalie McQueen's instagram story she's put that she is back at Wicked for few days, I'm guessing she is there on standby - I wonder if it is for Elphaba or Nessarose - or both? Nessa as the only Nessa that was there was Rosa

Sophie Evans seems to call out more than previous Glinda's I've noticed. I'm impressed with how little Alice is off sick, she's got stamina. Because she knows what she's doing like I've said numerous of times

I've only just watched it too... Marisha sounds amazing as always, and all four girls look stunning. But based on that performance, not meaning to just follow suit, Brennyn sounds way stronger vocally than Liisi. And Liisi was amazing in the role, so I can only imagine how Brennyn will be when I see the show next! What great promo for the show, the girls slayed! Brennyn's acting is far to enthusiastic in my opinion, a bit like Deena is on drugs mainly in Act 1, wasn't that keen, I personally prefer her understudy Nicole, but will give Brennyn time to grow, Liisi will always be my No.1 Deena no questions asked, the voice, the growls, the power, the emotion, the acting choices, EVERYTHING about Liisi's portrayal of Deena Jones was perfect in my eyes and no one can beat that...

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a redo of some of the cast on Broadway (if the yransfer ever happens). If they go with Amber, they would have to start with an alternate who is promised two performanfes at least to avoid the whole "name above the title, offering refunds" nonsense. She didn't really help herself for most of her run in making the producers confident in that sense. I wouldn't be surprised to see Marisha go over to Broadway given her reviews and reliability in the role. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see a switch of Deena. I too thought Liisi was amazing in the role, but if she is paired with Marisha, they are gonna want a star in their somewhere just to boost sales. If Marisha does get Broadway, I wouldn't be surprised to see Liisi be the one to get bumped out. It's not gonna be an official transfer, it will stay here, a production will just open on broadway, Amber has basically confirmed and Liisi has a high chance of getting it! Sonia said the other day she's not letting her go so we'll see what happens...
