I just cackled. Is you ok? Is you? Ok good cos I wanted to know. I'm hoping/guessing you sensed the sarcasm... Haha yup I got it. Do we know if the girls have had any more shows off since starting? My guess is they'll take at least one off in the next week or so to be top shape for next Tues.

But unless they put a Trump-esq style wall up in the foyer I don't see how they can stop me trying to take a selfie with Zoella when I'm inside?! I just cackled. Is you ok? Is you? Ok good cos I wanted to know. I'm not going to lie - the prospect of a half hour spectacular wherein Shoshana gets in the lift and belts her lil socks off is the only thing that would get me through the door on the 27th. I personally love this show most during a mid week show wherein the audience are mostly first timers, getting to experience it with them and seeing how their reception affects how the cast perform. Not at first / last or 'anniversary' shows where the performances become less authentic and more show-y. I seem to be in the minority here though..... and it's definitely changed the older I get and the more I see the show. But now I'd rather see the score acted well than riffed.

and fans have to use a different entrance than everyone (I. e. The invited guests) in the stalls! Ok this I can't deal with. It's basically like saying "You've kept us afloat for 10 years but we don't want you pestering our 'special' guests for a selfie on the night to celebrate your loyalty.... we're going to shove you up top and give you a separate entrance." Nope nope nope. Not playing this game. I've booked for a midweek matinee in October and also booked for Willemijns first week back. Hoping to catch Alice in October on the off chance but will be happy to see Rachel again.

I wonder if Rachel was always planned short term as a tenth anniversary thing and if there was something agreed with Willemijn that if she became fit and wanted to return the door would be open I do think come next September we will get a new Elphaba though. That's exactly what happened - everyone agreed that the way she left the show was not fitting of the way her career as Elphaba had ensued. Hoping for someone awesome and brand new to the show. No ex-standby, no ex-cover... Someone fresh and exciting a la when Alexia joined.

Does anyone know the ratio of shows James D conducts?? I assume he did them all last week but wasn't sure of how many he does week to week?

Just on way home from show. I'll keep this brief.
Rachel is back and stronger than ever. Suzie is a joy - stunning performance, my favourite Glinda to date. Rest of the cast were fresh, even the people who stayed on from previous cast(s). No weak link. London has its strongest cast since opening.
Almost 10 years to the day since I first saw it, just one row in front of the seats I sat in, the show is still as magical and mesmerising as the first time (53 times later).
If you haven't booked to see this cast yet... Why not??!

There you go guys, easily one of the highlights of the night, truly hilarious! Yay! An English accent! Going tonight now they've all settled in a bit - looking forward to it. ...can we all...just... accept each others opinions.... even if they differ.... Had they worded it in a way that Jackie's thier favourite Elphaba, of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion. But they said it in such a definite way that I had to challenge it. Hahaha I think you misunderstood my reply. Jackie is not actually my favourite Elphaba so I wouldn't say that - I just didn't like the "...no." Part of the way it was said. I believe what I said about her vocals and acting, but never said she was my favourite. Yet another example of how it's easy for things to be lost in translation! Sorry if you thought I was being 'definite' - just don't like the way talented people are so easily passed off as being 'bland' or 'wooden' with no sense of remorse - I get it's an opinion but it's just my opinion that the way things are said online are increasingly vicious. (My favourite Elphaba was CJ for the record- was she the best? Probably not. Was she my favourite? Yep.)

Sorry but the best ever Elphaba is Jacqueline Hughes by a mile. … no. ....yes. So vocally solid and acting choices far superior to most other 'actresses' playing the role. Also - she knows when to pull back and take a show off to rest, recover and recuperate. Something to be said for a 'sane' Elphaba!!

Does Katie not get bored playing the same supporting role for so many years?! 8 shows a week - same role!! Doesn't she try and get a new role in a different show? Well she must be bored, especially as she has done it for 7 years and had her Understudy Elphaba role taken away from her. But I guess if the pay is there and no one else wants her, why not stay?
It is a shame though, for the show to keep her on. Fair enough she is talented, but not only does she look and act bored, but the roles of Nessarose and Boq are perfect roles for someone just coming out of theatre school or a young talent. So many young people are talented out there and it just seems a waste. Also, and I know I will get crap for saying it again, but it makes sense to have someone who looks young to play Nessarose as she is supposed to be the younger sister of the Elphaba.
Whoahhh I feel like these comments are going a little too far. "If nobody else wants her" - that's an incredibly inconsiderate thing to say. She was phenomenal in Sister Act, and she commits 100% legitimately to Nessa every time I've seen her (which is about 30 times) - yes, maybe there needs to be fresh blood but these comments about Katie are becoming really spiteful and need to stop. I really hope she isn't reading them because I'd feel sick if somebody said things like that about me in my job.... Remember she's human too - and from the producers perspective, a lot of people going to see Wicked won't have seen it before so they don't know that she's been there for 10 years. Not trying to rant at you personally Daniel, just think people should think before they type sometimes.

Snooker ace Willie Thorne? That bloke from Sex & The City Willie Garson? Ex-and probably departed politician Willie Whitelaw? Willie Carson; jockey & question of sport panellist? None of them seem like obvious replacements...care to comment? Y'all are funny! I can't always accurately spell Wilemijn (sp?)....

Nothing can ever be as bad as Rachel's final show in 2012, fans screaming throughout the songs, front row were hysterically crying really loudly, wanted to slap them ,hahaha Seriously though Wicked does seem to attract OTT cast change shows I'm front Stalls for 3rd Sept evening, and 5th Sept evening. And i'm hoping it won't be drowned out be screaming fans If you don't want screaming fans, don't go on 3rd or 5th Sep.... I've seen wicked 52 times since previews in 2006 (only seen this cast once..yawn) but my days of screaming at a cast change are over. I've booked my tickets for 7th Sep eve as I know that will be a regular show where Rachel won't do some stupid riffs that distract from her incredible voice AND there won't be any disrespectful screaming at irrelevant points in the music. Also - Willy is replacing Rachel. You're welcome.
