I also like how it says on the site that tickets for Torch Song are 'just £34' - sure, that's not a bad price for West End but it's pretty steep for a 'fringe' venue. I assume the cast will be from the same roll call of people who were favourites at the Other Palace?

Scott, Varma, Thompson, Thallon, Hill all fantastic. The rest of the cast miscast. The first 45 mins absolutely brilliant and hilarious then it dipped and I thought never really recovered same levels. I thought the second scene with Scott and Cilenti was interminable. Their use of modern versions of Toxic and Rise Up added little to the play and felt like a director being all pretentious. Set functional. Costumes good. Scott delivered his lines brilliantly but was too angry a lot of the time and tried too hard to make you care about a character who is not likeable and was loved by many. If it had kept up what was in the first scene/45 mins then I would have enjoyed it more but overall I would go for 7/10.

I may have gone in with super low expectations but it’s nowhere near as bad as the reviews would have you believe. 3 stars. Liked seeing Malkovich on stage. It’s a bit scrappy and static and not Mamet’s finest and JM’s delivery is odd at times but we also laughed quite a lot and generally enjoyed it. As did other audience members. But not the 3 ushers we asked if it was as bad as the reviews who smiled and said ‘no comment’. Didn’t find it disrespectful or offensive. Doon in a slightly thankless role but the rest of the cast good. Found it odd not to have any music or SFX in it. Some longeurs but otherwise it goes along quite easily. 95 mins should be run without an interval. Felt a bit like watching a play on Broadway rather than the WE.

Soooooooo gutted. At 5.30pm I had 4 amazing Dress Circle seats picked out for an early date (matinee on 29th June). They were £65 each and they were part of the Sunday package (including a mini Moet, sweet treat and programme). Just about to add to basket and then site crashed and froze and all those seats priced at £65 in Dress Circle had gone (they were there for the first preview week at £65). When I went back all those similar seats were £125 each. So either it was a mistake and they realised and rectified it immediately or lots of lovely people got complete bargains.

There is little to excite me here. I don't need to see another production of A Doll's House, Cinderella, Love Love Love, Antigone or The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Tempted by Solaris but will see what reviews are like from Melbourne and Edinburgh first. Shame there is little new writing in her first season.

I wish I'd seen Love Love Love on tour; they "upgraded" the cast for the Royal Court run and I'd much rather have seen John Heffernan and Rosie Wyatt than Ben Miles and Claire Foy. #saidnobodyever ahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa Bonk

You ‘give up’? What on Earth do you ‘give up’ about? Turning a classic story into a gay romp? I’m gay and also over it! Well that’s a shame. I’m gay too and certainly not over it. At least it’s not another boring traditional version of it and I love the idea that young boys and girls will be seeing it and are presented with a different and more diverse take on the story, because they don’t get exposed to that many non-traditional versions of stage musicals suitable for youngsters. Nobody said anything about it being a ‘gay romp’ either, as far as I could see.

Well I thought this was OK. Not really deserving of the 4 and 5 star reviews imo. The first half was quite tedious and was slow and it was difficult to care. Second half was much much better but I just wanted them to make their final decision quicker and I still came out thinking meh. Giles Terera gave a great performance. Hayley Atwell gave a brilliant performance, particularly in the second half. Peter Wight gave quite an annoying performance. Everybody else just gave middle of the road performances. It was all very traditionally done and I can’t see how it could have been done better, so maybe it’s the play that’s quite tedious. An impressive set but everything was pretty much just played in the middle centre of the stage. People around me seemed suitably unimpressed, but there was one annoying whooping woman. 6 or 7 out of 10.

Caught this tonight from the front row (TodayTix have them for £25) and it was a 5* knockout for me. I laughed out loud, I was shocked, I cringed, I was just completely engrossed. Alex Kingston was fantastic, and Ben Edelman gives such a physical and intense speech the audience just don’t know how to react to it. So glad I caught this, easily one of my top plays so far this year. What is the view like from front row (row AAA). Much neckache?
