We were at Back to the Future last night when the safety curtain was brought down near the beginning of the first act. Clearly the table and chairs in the kitchen scene didn't arrive on stage and Biff had nothing to put his boxes on! After about 3 minutes members of the audience started whistling and slow clapping. Is it just me that thinks this was a bit excessive? Show was up and running a few minutes later!

There where a few people in the stalls that left during the interval - at over £100 a ticket, nothing would have moved me from those seats! I was at the opening night/first preview performance sitting in the middle of row H of the stalls. The couple beside us asked us at the interval if we could hear the actors or Killer Queen as they couldn't most of the time. They seemed a little bit fed up and didn't return after the interval. The couple the other side of us kept having to tell each other what was being said. Having seen WWRY maybe 40 or more times (never counted) since 2002, I know most of the script so it wasn't an issue, but clearly it was for some and I have to admit I found I couldn't hear Brenda some of the time speaking and singing. I also had difficulty hearing Elena at times but everyone else was clear. Maybe the people that left also had issues hearing it?

My daughter was no 4259 in the queue at 5pm dead on. I went on after her and got no 703, still not any use though but interesting!

'I tried-- they are simply transferring the current UK tour to the West End for the short run... 😕'
A quote from Tony Vincent's facebook page when he was asked if he would return to the show at the Coliseum.

Booked my tickets this morning, relatively stress free. It’s not a show I would’ve been rushing back to see under normal circumstances but right now I’d even settle for seeing Thriller Live! Milton Keynes was reported today as being in the high risk category for localised lockdown though so am keeping hopeful that this wasn’t all in vain. Milton Keynes was wrongly reported in that Daily Express article apparently. The main hotspot around this area is Bedford and that has Milton Keynes postcodes, which prompted them to add MK to the map!

Each time I've seen this I've thought that Dean Chisnall would make an excellent Charlie.

I also saw the Saturday matinee and found that I absolutely loved it. The cast were fantastic and I admit to crying more than once at some very emotional performances. We all thought we could relate to at least one of the characters and the small performance space made everything more real. Great performances and singing from everyone, couldn't choose one performance because I guess the way you relate to a character sways the emotion. I did look around the audience whilst Peter P was 'the retiree' and there was a lot of eye dabbing going on (as well as my own)! Dean Chisnall's Builder's song was my favourite vocal, but then as I say everyone was great. Would love to see this again before it closes.

Do any of you know if Jenna comes out? I would love to meet her but I'm starting to think this might not be the best occasion. Last week she and the rest of the cast almost ran out of the stage door and rushed down the road very quickly without stopping as far as I could see.

Had a chat with a nice guy outside the Coliseum last Wednesday, said Kit Harington tried to sign but there was so much pushing and shoving he gave up. He came out for about 10 or so minutes on Saturday and did quite a bit of signing and selfie taking before going back in. My daughters were in the scrum and I agree I also think it was an accident waiting to happen. There was a lot of pushing and shoving with only a few barriers for protection and one security guy who kept shouting 'stop pushing' without much effect!

a much stronger warning of content should be posted, not just 'adult content' which is now on the booking screen, which seems fairly tame! As a general rule, I like 'adult content' because it is simple, clear information and makes bookers responsible for asking specific questions if they have any. Generally I agree, but sadly this wasn't on the booking screen when I initially booked, so I imagine there will be others who have no idea what they are in for. Adult content in other shows where I have questioned it, has been quite suitable for perhaps a 14 -16 year old. I personally think that if this were a film it would have an 18 certificate.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, but definitely felt emotionally drained by the end. Great performances. If I were to be critical about anything I thought it started quite slow, but I liked the new middle and the relevance to society today. Definitely an interesting night!
On a side note, someone mentioned that a warning should be posted about the content and I definitely agree. Like a few people I would imagine, I was asked by my 16 year old daughter to book this when she saw Kit Harington was in it. At the time of booking there was no mention of the explicit content and no mention of a suggested age limit. I remembered reading Dr Faustus at school so considered that it would be a little dark - oops! How wrong was I?? When we arrived an usher asked how old my daughter was and then told me about the show content, violence, full frontal nudity, sexual scenes and a stage suicide. He mentioned nothing about 'THE scene'. Considering we had travelled miles and my daughter is fairly broad minded I thought we should go ahead and watch. She handled it all well, but I am sure there will be others of her age and older that really wouldn't. Game of Thrones attracts young teenagers who will want to see Kit Harington, I therefore think that a much stronger warning of content should be posted, not just 'adult content' which is now on the booking screen, which seems fairly tame!

Has anyone seen it yet? I'm really hesitant to book due to the prices. There is a short review on Theatremonkey, looks favourable. I shall be there on Saturday so may be able to offer more info

Wicked for me too. Went with such high hopes but was left a bit deflated at the end. Highlight was Kerry Ellis singing Defying Gravity, but even that didn't entice me back again.
