Again- It’s going to a Custom Built Venue. So, is it the location of said venue that will be exciting? Obvs there aren’t that many green spaces sizeable enough for a large ‘big top’ in the heart of theatre land? Or has ‘Abba-voyage’ being in the arse end of nowhere made them hopeful that people will travel for it? As someone who lives in the doorstep of Stratford i can confirm that it is not in the "arse end of nowhere". In fact it takes 12 minutes to get to Stratford from Tottenham Court Road which is a lot quicker than getting from the west end to Hammersmith.

I am probably the last forum member to the Six party but finally went to see it last night. Thought it was great fun and really enjoyed it. More of a pop concert than a musical but some really good songs and an excellent cast. I didn't recognise of the Queens but they were all great singers. One of them looked exactly like Olivia Coleman (even down to facial expressions). 80 minutes and no interval is perfect for me and it skipped along really quickly. I was expecting a teenage female audience but I was really surprised by the spectrum of age groups. A large group of elderly Americans sat around me and I was a bit worried as I thought it would be too loud for them and not their type of show but they were clapping along and up on their feet at the end, so just shows how much I know. Not something I feel I would want to see again but really glad I finally went. As a side note the legroom in the stalls was some of the best i've seen in the west end.

Sorry just realised I've missed the poll. I can make any of those dates. Just been looking for my old forum badge, I think last time I wore it was for the Theatre Cafe quiz in Shaftsbury Ave (Anthony40 was also on the team if I'm right?) Anyway couldn't find it unfortunately but I did find a Dress Circle and Stephen Sondheim Society badge together with 2 £1 coins. So worth the hunt. I was part of the team as well! I have my badge somewhere, don’t know if I can make this meet but will try if I can. I remember. We did quite well I think bit didn't win. I was OK on the older stuff but there was a lot of Broadway and new musical stuff which I didn't have a clue about. Would be nice if we could have another go.

I'm probably the only person in the UK who still hasn't seen it. Recorded the film ages ago when it was on TV and still haven't got around to watching it.

I heard Marcus Brigstocke will be reprising the role of Barnum. He might even get across the titerope this time.

I would pay up to 50 British pounds Stirling to see this in an intimate London setting with Cinzano Bianco… Can you still get Cinzano? It's very 70s.

Glad I wasn't the only one, he was a huge standout, just the way he performed the choreography was incredible. I have no idea how Zizi can dance like that, and yet her vocals stay perfect! It's in the genes. The whole family are the same including auntie Bonnie who can still do the splits in her 50s.

Don't know if I'm getting senile but I didn't feel there was excessive whooping and cheering on Monday night and I usually hate that kind of thing - looking at you BGT! Certainly the audience was enthusiastic, but rightly so as it was an amazing concert. I thought the audience reaction added to the atmosphere. You would have hated the Cool Rider concert which was Pippin x 10 for audience reaction.

Do you mean Bradley Jaden? Well actually I did briefly see Bradley Jaden pop to the bathroom at the end. I meant the guy who was in Celeb Big Brother with Marisha. They were chatting during the interval (I think it was him anyway!). Ah yes, the young lad from Heartstopper? The only reason I said Bradley Jaden was because I saw some pics of him at stage door after. I'm sure there were loads more there that we didn't see. Seems to have attracted the celebs.

Pippin Monday night I also saw Matt Lucas, Rob Rinder, Marisha Wallace, Bradley Riches and Abbie Budden. Do you mean Bradley Jaden?

I saw this years ago at The Arts Theatre with Paul Keating (I think) and Frances Barber as Billie Trix who was just fab. Saw it again at the Union Theatre which was not so good.

Bonnie Langford was in the loos when I was there, someone grabbed her hand and was thanking her for bringing such talented family members into the world!! Bonnie is a big pal of Jacs presumably after them both being in Sondheim Old Friends (of course they could have known each other for much longer). She would have been there to jee Jac and Zizi who is her niece. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I sat next to Jac and Bonnie at a recent concert and had a lovely chat with them. I was a bit gushing but they were very polite. Told Jac I was coming to see him in Pippin and we then had a strange conversation about Rachel Tucker wearing night dresses and Bonnie and I agreeing that they must be very "comfy".

Great news as I've always wanted to see this. Was booked to see it in Birmingham and then Covid put paid to that.

Gutted! I didn't realise I had plans tonight, was totally gonna impulse buy a ticket and hurry up to London ;-; What's the chances of a film release? All this talk of it being filmed but what if it joins the ranks of the WE proshots currently in the vault... too depressing to think about! Don't know what the plans are but there were lots of cameras, more than for just archive purposes. I counted 5 in the stalls alone and they were proper bigguns!

Omg how LOUD were those moments. I don’t know if it had the intended effect. It literally sounded like a gun or bomb went off or something and made me scared lol. Omgosh, so loud! The look on Alex's face when it went off during the finale! I know. It frightened the s**t out of me.

If you are sitting in front stalls be prepared to get covered in gold confetti towards the beginning.

Grabbed a ticket for tonight off the back of the comments. TKTS has some decent offers if anyone is looking. Edit to add - does anyone have a rough running time from last night? I think we came out about 10pm last night and it started about 10 mins late.

Same seats I'm afraid and I don't think they have had a clean in 15 years. What about the cabaret tables mentioned earlier? Where do they sit in the auditorium? Ive not seen the seating plan or layout so not sure how it's going to be staged.

Marisha Wallace also at Pippin and someone sat in front of me. No idea who they were but at the interval several people stopped them and were quite gushing. I asked a girl who had been talking to them who it was. She gave me a name but I immediately forgot it. Apparently they were in Cabaret. Tall, slim, blonde hair if that helps. Cara Delevingne? No. I would recognise her.

Is it still bench seating in there or are there proper seats now? Last time I went was Aspects of Love and we were all sat on top of each other. But I’d really like to see this! Same seats I'm afraid and I don't think they have had a clean in 15 years.

This was a great concert and filmed via many cameras around the theatre so hopefully we will get another chance to see it. Looked and sounded beautiful. Most definitely one of the better concerts and you could see time and money was put into it. Loved hearing it performed by a large orchestra and choir from Arts Ed. Performers were excellent and so lovely to see Patricia Hodge as Bertha who was having a great time. Alex Newell had such a powerful voice and glad they didn't riff too much. Loved Zizi, boy can she dance (what is it about that family?) And I thought Jac Yarrow as Pippin was perfectly cast. Such a likeable young man, great voice and a nifty dancer. The dancing was brilliant with lots of nods to Fosse. I'd happily watch that all over again.
Also did anyone see Marisha Wallace in the centre stalls?

Now this is how you do a concert! (But I really enjoyed Diana, so what do I know?!) 😉 Its epic isn't it. Its almost fully staged and sounds amazing.

I think a couple of previous meet ups were held in the foyer of the NT between matinee and evening shows.

Do we know if this is likely to fall into the terrible sound, missed cues and underrehearsed category of concerts or if this is going to be one of the good ones? I think its going to be a goodun! The producers have a good track record. Rehearsals have been going on for 2 weeks and a further week before that with Jac and Alex. The rehearsal clips I've seen online look very promising.
