Sorry whats the diff between top price 89 and premium..not money but view? Don't know for sure but I would imagine centre front stalls will be premium, except for the first few rows.

I know the prices aren't crazy - but this is comparing to the Broadway production where they really are far too extortionate (and that's legal tickets, never mind the touts!). In comparison to West End, maybe they're not too different when it comes to top price, but I am just surprised that there is nothing sub £30 available at all, bar the daily lottery which will possibly be manic.
Every other show on the DMT website have their cheapest tickets in the £20 bracket, some even in the £10 bracket. This is bar Kinky Boots, whose main seller is RUG on their official website, despite an allocation on the DMT website. So unless this renovation leaves absolutely not a single seat in the entire theatre restricted, there will inevitably be some restricted view seats that will be selling for £37.50 after Press Night, if the website is to be believed. For Hamilton, I'll gladly sit at the back on the circle or in a restricted view seat just to be there (in the room where it happens....sorry), but it would be fair to pay £20-odd pounds for that, not almost £40. I mean even Billy Elliot had restricted front stalls (which weren't too bad at all) for £19.50! And whilst the demand will most certainly be higher for Hamilton, Billy still sustained an incredible 11 year run.
I'm not going all "boycott Hamilton, it's too expensive!!!" by any stretch, I will 100% be booking tickets, but Cameron Mackintosh did state in an interview with Official London Theatre - and I quote - "What I’m planning to have is a far greater proportion of the house that will be £35 and under, than there is anywhere else, for Hamilton." - does he mean the £32.50 tickets during previews only? Or the £20 lottery? Because after the relatively short preview period ends, you're above £35 and that's it.
Even at Book of Mormon, I can get a sub £30 ticket with relative ease at certain dates/times. Which leads me to....even a show as sold-out at BoM, with ridiculous premiums, has dynamic pricing that works in favour of those searching for a cheap ticket. Do we think Hamilton may go down the same road? Will we see dynamic pricing increasing all tickets at weekends but maybe some may fall below at potentially quieter shows - a Thursday afternoon, for example? Who knows, I guess!

I think "premium" is just a clever disguise these days to hide the fact that a "top price £150" would put even more punters off. Looks better to write "top price £85, premium seats available at..."
However as long as premium seats are only a few rows and centre I am okay with that. It's not as bad as on Broadway where premium covers most of the stalls these days. I am hoping that the first 4-5 rows will be regular top price as that's where I'd like to be!

A friend has offered to let me use their Delfont Mackintosh priority thing as they're not getting tickets. My worry is that it could be a problem with all the security Mackintosh has put in place?
Do we think who signed up for the code might be irrelevant, and the only important information will be the card its paid with. Or are the codes going to be account specific? Does that make sense?
Thanks if anyone can shed any light!

Or the £20 lottery? Because after the relatively short preview period ends, you're above £35 and that's it. It does seem questionable. But perhaps when he said this, he didn't calculate with Ticketmaster fees yet. I mean, the FAQ grandly state that all fees are included in the price. So maybe Mackintosh's actual price may be £32.50, then slap the fees on and you're at the £37.50 listed on the website. Guess we'll have to wait and see how many tickets will be available for that price. I agree though that it would hae been better to offer really cheap tickets, say £20 max. Doing the lottery is impossible for everyone living outside London. You can't plan a trip to see Hamilton from further away if you have to rely on being the lucky winner among several hundred entries.

I'm sure there was info about ticket prices a while ago so there was no shock when I saw them yesterday. This is one show that I'm going to fork out on a top price seat (not premium). My worry is that when I get home from work on Monday to be able to book there won't be anythinG left as I really want to see it early in the run. I presume as its Ticketmaster that we won't be able to choose our own seats from a plan and they will tell us where we are sitting?

Yes the Twitter account has confirmed you can't choose your own seats. You can either choose best available or the price range you want and they will allocate the seats for you.

Thats what annoys me a bit, the nagging feeling we will just be allowed to choose seat price band, not location. Thats the biggest thing that will slow things down on monday as people will try a variety of dates to get an option that suits them rather than just snap up their first offer.

I don't like that, I'd rather sit further back in the middle rather than further forward at the side but oh well, guess you can't have it all.

Well that's more than a bit irritating. I'm largely indifferent to joining the scrum having seen it once. So I may just wait another year and hope that by then we're allowed to pick our own seats.

They have said on twitter that the booking email has not yet been sent out to people who registered on the Hamilton website, as opposed to the Delfont Mackintosh website.

Its a frustrating system. I think I will try on monday for a midweek preview and then see where that gets me

I think the original owner of the code is irrelevant. It says the codes can be used only once, not that the codes must be used by the recipient. It's also easy enough to program a system to accept unique codes, but extra work to ensure that the unique codes match the email recipient. The way it says you shouldn't share your code because it can only be used once and will then expire suggests to me that it is possible for anyone to use a code. I believed you would be able to choose your own seat with Ticketmaster, but have been proven false. Anyway! We'll be able to book through Delfont Mackintosh from the 30th, who will let us choose our own seats. I'm reasonably confident it'll still be possible to get a good seat even two weeks after priority booking has opened (I'm sure they'll be keeping back an allocation for the public), but bear in mind it could still be a gamble.

(Ticketmaster choosing the seats for you would be less irritating if the theatre wasn't being refurbished and we knew we could rely on TheatreMonkey's seating plan to make sure we're not being ripped off or offered substandard seats...)

Yes exactly this. If we had an educated guess that 'x price in x section was y and z rows' I'd be more comfortable with the gamble on sightlines/legroom etc. Not knowing what the bejesus they've been up to in there makes it more difficult.
Anyway, I'm less desperate to see it than some so I may hold back. I'm assuming they've been allocated in batches too, and if not it's not the end of the world I'll see it sometime.

Also very true. Having no idea of the layout is very frustrating. We wont get any indication until an hour in how fast sales are going

Hi guys, techie dimwit here. The 'unique access code' which was on the email they sent me about priority booking has disappeared! Can anyone advise? And do I actually need it?
Ta in advance.

One upside of the security around ticket issue is that if you find you can't go, you can get a no quibble refund up to 48 hours before the show (and at producers' discretion after that) for £3 fee.
Can't remember if I registered... nothing received yet but note the comment above re those registering via the Hamilton site rather than DMT. So still hope!

Yeh I'm just going to wait until after the 30th I think. I'm very keen on seeing this but can't be doing with the scrum for tickets in the presale when I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of seats left well into the public booking period.

Very pleased that DMT+ members will get a bonus 2 hours headstart on booking...I bought the membership hoping for such a situation! Roll on Monday... It would be superb if any of the lucky DMT+ members on this forum would spare a minute to share their booking experience here after 10am? Knowing some details on pricing and seat allocations would be highly appreciated and most helpful to reduce Monday noon stress levels for us "plebs"

Studying their FAQs... I see this also "As the theatre refurbishment approaches completion in early Autumn, there will be a further release of tickets for Booking Period One. Please follow our Twitter account or Facebook page to receive the latest news updates and advance details of any new ticket releases." and wonder whether any potential 'restricted view' seats will be included in that release at, possibly, lower cost. They probably can't fully assess all sightlines until the refurb is further along.
