But I’m also one of those who believe that the excitement on this side of the world seem to exist mainly among the people who follow the show. I think most of us agree but the argument is is that a heck of a lot of people follow the show, compared to other West End shows.

£89 top price.. wow. Broadway greed hits London. And premium £200. I was actually expecting it to be a lot more, considering how ridiculous the broadway prices are. £89 / $110 doesnt even get you in the door on Broadway.

I'm trying to watch this without being over-spoiled - I haven't listened to any recording or clips, the only thing I have seen is the Tony Awards performance (which didn't overly impress me). I want to see it more to see if there's anything justifying the ridiculous hype and insane prices on Broadway. But I won't be paying top price to see it - if I can't get the cheap or mid range tickets then I'll just wait until next year...

I'm presuming that come 12pm on Monday, we press "Book Now" on the email & hope for the best? Indeed...my plan is to have the email open in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, IE, on my phone and tablet...6 shots at getting a good spot in the queue, and then roll with the highest placed one! So do we think it's just the code you can only use once, or is the link in the email only valid for one click (which would rule out multiple devices)?

I have received an email but there is no code on it. Am I missing something? Should there be a code within the email?

I'm sorry that people have issues with these prices.
Personally I'm very grateful that I'm getting to see Hamilton for far cheaper than I have before and probably with a better seat.

I have no issue with the pricing for this show with its hype, praise, awards, excitement, etc. The problem I see is that once one show raises its prices (or starts with higher prices) all the other shows will follow suit.
As for the code / clicking the email multiple times to get several places in the queue, I wonder what will happen if things break down? I.e. if you've managed to put tickets into your basket, move on to payment, enter the code, and THEN things break down? On the first round of Potter booking I lost the first tickets I had put into my basket, so I wonder.

Has everyone who signed up for priority booking received an email yet? I signed up ages ago, but have had absolutely nothing in the way of an email so far. Getting slightly concerned!

I'm sure I read on the official twitter feed that people who signed up for priority may get their codes as late as a few hours before the sale begins so I wouldn't panic

I think Ticketb******d's website should cope fine. News reports have stated there are only 100,000 people who have signed up for the presale, which isn't massive compared to things they manage like Glastonbury or 5 nights at Wembley Stadium. The Victoria Palace holds 1550 (currently, obviously the refurbishment that may be going up or down) and the first booking period is about 7 months, which is roughly 350,000 tickets available so theoretically everyone could buy 3 tickets and there would still be some left over. Now they probably aren't going to put the full 350k on sale to us, but there are other factors like people signing up who have lost interest/are busy at 12 on Monday/code gone into spam and forgotten about etc. I suspect those with flexibility of pocket and calender are almost certain to get tickets.

Email came through last night, though not sure it's worth the expected hassle. It's going to be carnage.
I'm reminded of the lovely pair of Stalls seats I got for the first previews of Harry Potter the day before previews started...

I know it's months away, but there doesn't really seem to be much hype for this. BOM felt like something special was coming over, but this (to me) seems to fall rather flat. As someone mentioned earlier, that's probably down to the extensive marketing campaign they did for Book of Mormon.

My email came through yesterday - Ticketmaster shouldn't have any problems dealing with demand, rather them handling sales than someone like See Tickets or Gigs & Tours. I'll wait and see what's on offer, don't want to spend a fortune and not in a rush to see it in the opening couple of weeks.

yeah my email cam through in the end! Im quite shocked at the prices though with top price stalls (not premium) being £89.50, this is a bit of a price hike compared to other west end shows!

A pedant says ticketmaster have been nowhere near glastonbury since the registration process came in. Its been exclusively handled by seetickets
